Description of Work: Washington Plumbing and Heating Inc. inspected a leak and it was basically due to a bad valve and they replaced the valve.

 + -1 moreThey were amazing! I noticed standing water in the front yard on a Friday evening. I turned the water off and left a message for Washington Heating and Plumbing. I didn't expect a return call till the next morning, but they returned my call within 15 minutes and were here the next morning. By Sunday afternoon they had me set up with a temporary fix. (Would have been sooner, but they had to wait for all the and quot;locateand quot; guys.) The following week they bored a hole under our front lawn and replaced the line. They always kept me informed as to what was going on and what would happen next. I totally would recommend them.
Description of Work: Repaired and reinstalled line from water meter to house.

 + -1 moreFirst he came out the wrong day, we agreed on him coming Wednesday, but on Wednesday he never showed, claimed he had Thursday written down on his calendar. No big deal though, he came out Thursday. Really nice guy over the phone and in person. He came out, estimated that he would need to run a bigger pipe from outside into our furnace room to support the addition of a gas range. He was there about an hour, again, very friendly, explained everything very clearly and very well. He said he would send me an estimate later that night or the next day. After a few days passed I called him and left a message. He called me back and said he was really busy and would get me the estimate that night. After a few more days I called him again and left another message. He never called me back. To this day I still don't have that estimate. We ended up going with someone else.
Description of Work: He came out to give us an estimate to run a gas line from our furnace room to our kitchen.

I promptly received a return call in which the individual scheduled a technician to come to my house within 2 hours. I had called three separate plumbing services after not receiving return calls from two of them. Washington Plumbing provided professional prompt responses to my calls. As it turned out, the issue was not with the water heater so I did not need their services. I highly recommend Washington Plumbing Service who contacted me immediately after receiving my message and scheduled a technician immediately.

 + -1 moreI was very happy with their work. They were really thorough. Often times I would make a call and somebody wasn't available right away, but they always return my call. They took time to listen to what my issues were, and they made some various recommendations at various price points. Once I made my selection, there were a couple of times where they actually had their special orders from some plumbing parts. They communicated all of that very clearly to me, they let me know what the time frames were going to be like. They set an appointment and they arrive then said they were going to arrive, and they did the work that they said they were going to do, and everything worked when they left. Overall I have been really happy with them.

 + 0 moreKonstantine was downright awesome. He came in on the day that we needed to come in. He came in planning to do one thing, but we realized we needed much more work done. Rather than fixing the one thing, he agreed to come back at the end of his day to do the major fix. He only charged us for the major fix and the bill was more than reasonable. We had our floors newly replaced and he rolled out rugs so he wouldn't damage them. We had other minor questions at the end of the night that he offered to go through them with us even though it was late at night.
Description of Work: He replaced the hookup for our washer. The two handles where you turn on the water was leaking.

 + 0 moreTechnician showed up on-time and even called when about 30 minutes out to validate he was on his way. Technician was able to assess equipment needed and only made one trip to his vehicle..knew he needed the and quot;powerfuland quot; snake...we had previously had a clog and the technician took multiple trips to vehicle (time is money)...thus, the efficiency made this trip more effective and thus lower cost than other companies. Clog was cleaned out quickly and we have not had a recurring problem. Very happy with the service.
Description of Work: Cleaned out a clogged drain (40ish feet of snake) and replaced our disposal gasket.

 + -1 moredone Everyhing went well through the entire process. The only thing I have some reservations about was the cost. I agreed to pay the price quoted even though i was taken aback at the amount. I did this for several reasons. Under the circumstances we wanted the work done immediately and considering the conditions ie. food waste and the very tight area to work I did feel the company was entitled to a premium. How much of a premium, it is difficult for me to say. In fairness I must say that I agreed to the quote, so I paid in full upon completion of the work.
Description of Work: Pipes in our crawl space that carried water and food, processed by our disposal had deteriorated and leaked. This area had to be cleaned out, dried out, and treated to prevent mold. Then, obviously, the pipes had to be replaced. The company performed in an exemplary manner in all ways. Immediately after this work was completed we had another company repair some of the heating ducts in the crawl space. The wokmen from this company confirmed the fact that the plumber from Washington Plumbing had done excellent work.

 + -1 moreWe replaced the boiler first thinking the hot water tank still working. Then the pressure slowly increase for 4 or 5 days until the heater stopped working again. Konstantine responded with the first speed to adjusted the pressure, arranged daily monitoring of the system pressure, and soon replaced the water tank as well. Yet the company does not provide any after-project assistance, such as, provide invoices. Therefore I'm not able to get the rebates from PSE, which upsets me since I'm counting on the rebate in my budget.
Description of Work: The boiler (serve both hot water and heat system ) dead in winter and I paid a few companies for diagnosis. Konstantine is the one who knows the system really well. A few others suggested to replace the 20-yr old system to heat pumps, yet after the investigation I realized that the current system is still functioning well to hold another 5 years without altering. Then I can do modest change with the tubing. A few suggested a tankless water heater instead of the boiler and tank. We finally took Konstantine's recommendation by replacing both the boiler and the tank in place, thinking this is still the most efficient system for the house. Its bee running since mid January after the final task completed. No issues at all and both the renters and we are happy with the result. Konstantine is very professional in explaining the system, t and the cost is good. I really appreciate his help in dealing with our frustrations - having no hot water and heat for a few days, plus our insufficient knowledge regarding the system. A big thank-you.

 + -1 moreI'm satisified with the service performed. They arrived a bit late, but called ahead of time to let us know they were running late which was nice. Whatever was in there must have been tricky to find as it took a good while to locate and destroy the clog. After clearing the clog he looked in the tank and took a few minutes to fine tuned the flapper/pull (no extra charge), which was nice.
Description of Work: We asked Washington Plumbing to come out and unclog a plugged toilet. They came out and augered the drain.
