He was extremely helpful - we know exactly who to call the next time we have a plumbing problem. Thanks!
Description of Work: Konstantine returned my early Saturday morning voice message within a few minutes and was out to our home an hour later. He confirmed that our dishwasher would need replacement and our wet floors, thankfully, were not due to a leaking pipe issue.

A pipe burst in our garage and we had to turn the water off in our house. The owner came out on a Saturday and assessed the issue and helped us turn the water back on safely. Since it wasn't an emergency and we don't use the hose in the garage in the winter, the owner said they will come back next week to fully fix the problem. He reported their entire company was in emergency mode repairing burst pipes because of the recent cold spell. IAmazingly repsonsive, prompt, and professional. I will definitely use their services again.

Overall, I'm very happy with the work. He diagnosed the problem right away. He had to send his partner out to buy a new part but once the part was there he fixed it very fast. My only gripe is that the appointment was at 1PM but he didn't call until almost 1:30PM to say he was running late and then showed up about 15 minutes after that. Price was about what I expected.

It went quite well. Spread protective tarps on floor and in cabinet beneath sink. Discovered shut-off valve leaks when valve handles were turned. Shut off main water valve, then resumed. Had to disassemble sink trap in order to improve access to underside of sink rear, an advantage -- cleaned out trap! No mess; site was flawlessly clean when finished.
Description of Work: Replaced kitchen sink faucet assembly with like-new owner-provided model. Also replaced aged, leaky hot- and cold-water shut-off valves with vendor-provided quarter-turn valves. Did not have required plug for fourth hole in sink, so vendor went to local hardware store, purchased one, returned and installed it at no extra charge.

I did get a few qoutes from "big box" stores over the phone. But, when they sent someone out to give me an estimate the quote significantly increased due to "unforseen needs". I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. When I called Washington Plumbing and Heating and talked with Konstantine, he assured me, given what I told him about my situation, that there shouldn't be any "unforseen costs". He was right! And, it ended up costing me less for superior service and a superior product than I was being offered by those "big box" stores. Jeff called me to let me know he was on his way, was very professional, gave me exceptional customer service, did an amazing job including figuring out how to get my old heavy 80 gal tank out of my basement which was not an easy task, and cleaned up before he left. Plus, he is just a nice person! He explained everything to me and answered all my questions along the way. He even took the time to discuss some other plumbing concerns I had, explain what I should look out for and what was most likely needed to resolve the issues. I was provided exceptional customer service, a great product and they were fair, reliable and honorable in the process. I recommend them HIGHLY and will definitely call upon them in the future. Thanks, Konstantine and Jeff!

I called these guys and got a message machine and actually hung up because I wanted to talk to someone immediately because water was pouring out from under the sink even after shutting off the water. The obvoiusly saw me call and called me right back. They showed up in a hour, and got the situation resolved to stop the water and let us go on vacation. We scheduled a time for them to do the work about a week or two from this incident. They showed up exactly whent hey said that they would and did the job. Since the garbage disposal was also leaking, this needed to be replaced as well, so they went ahead and did this too. VERY PROFESSIONAL and they back the quality of their work. We had a small issue after the install, and the guy who did the work came out, fixed it, and performed several tests to make sure that there were not any more leaks (without additional charges).
Description of Work: Our instant hot water dispenser and the in sink garbage disposal were broken and needed to be replaced. The hot water dispenser was leaking all over the place just before we left of vacation. The price included new untis and the installation including installing some kind of "breathing tube" for our dishwasher. The stainless steel vent replaced the built in soap dispenser that we never use.

Great. Everything was well done, neat and clean when he left. He even took off his shoes outside the front door. I like my new garbage disposal much better than the last one that my husband bought and put in. And he showed up even earlier, at 3 o'clock, ahead of the 3:30 to 5:30 window he gave us earlier in the afternoon. He called on his way to make sure that would be okay. It was better than okay!
Description of Work: We had a plugged kitchen sink and a bad garbage disposal. We asked Jeff to clear the plug and replace the disposal. After he cleared the sink drain for many feet and put in the disposal he found the sink was still plugged. He had to take the disposal apart and bring in his big equipment to clear the drain out 30 feet. He put the disposal back in with no extra charge for the extra clearing. All this on Labor Day with no extra holiday charge. He gave us cheaper options but I wanted a new garbage disposal. He was very personable, a nice friendly guy. I highly recommend his service. And we got 5% off for being Angie's list members.

I had spent most of the day trying to replace the wax ring for a toilet. After two unsuccessful attempts and what appeared to be increasing plumbing problems, I finally broke down and called Washington Plumbing and Heating. By this time it was 5:30 PM on a Friday night. They had a person over within an hour and he did a very efficient job and fixed the problem. Turned out my additional plumbing problems were just a matter of doing it right. The serviceman was friendly and glad to explain what I could have done to have done the job right myself.

They are over priced and will not return the money they promised.

My kitchen drain was clogged. Jeff Norris arrived in the time I was given and used a snake to clear out my drain. He was punctual, professional, personable, answered all my questions and thoroughly cleaned up! I think the cost was high for the short amount of time needed, but similar to other quotes I was given.. I would use him again without hesitation.

I chose Washington Plumbing and Heating based upon the customer reviews I read on Angie's List. I phoned them, and was pleased to schedule an appointment for later that same day. I was given an explanation of their charges as well a two hour window of when to expect the plumbing technician. Jeff, the plumber assigned to the job, phoned me to let me know he was on his way and arrived within the time frame quoted earlier. He was friendly, courteous, and confident he could find the source of our plumbing problem. He was able to trouble shoot the problem, and completed the job within an hour with skill and competence. The charge for services was consistent with the price that had been quoted over the phone when I set up the appointment. I was very satisfied with the work and overall experience.
Description of Work: Our kitchen sink had a leak and the sprayer hose had been disconnected because it was not functioning appropriately. The source of the leak was identified and the sprayer hose fixed and reconnected.

Once he arrived, he went right to work, provided an estimate and provided excellent serivce with great communications regarding his progress. My contractor who is remodeling the bath was extremely impressed with the technicial's skill level as well as his attitude.

The service provider was prompt and professional. He arrived a bit earlier than projected, and he did the work quickly. He cleared our drain and replaced some old pipes under the sink. I contacted the company at 2:00 in the afternoon and they sent a plumber to the house by 4:45 pm of the same day. Jeff took his shoes off before entering the house (without being asked) and was pleasant and personable. I explained the problems and he went right to work. He found that our Insinkerator was broken, then showed us the new model and gave us pricing options. Jeff did not pressure us to buy a new model the same day. He left us with prices that would be good for the future, including the Angie's List discount. He also fixed the upstairs drain quickly. I will definitely use this company again. Jeff was great.

Jeff showed up and inspected the area where I wanted a washer/dryer and laundry sink. He gave me a very firm price that would include all the work unless there was something unexpected after opening the wall. There was nothing unexpected, and he did all the work for the stated price. He was able to identify the proper location for the new plumbing work. He worked diligently for several hours and completely installed new plumbing and drains in the area where I wanted a washer/dryer and laundry sink. He is very skilled and his workmanship was excellent. He was very polite and professional and did a great job. He cleaned up the job site before leaving and it was all ready to go. Thank you Angie's list for referring us to Washington Plumbing/Heating, and thank you for the excellent job, Jeff. The final bill for approx $900 included tax.
Description of Work: Added plumbing in the garage for a laundry sink and washington machine. Required opening wall and identifying proper location for drains and hot/cold water. Jeff came out and was very professional. He explained to me clearly the cost before opening the wall. If there were any unexpected problems after opening the wall, he would let me know immediately, but there were not.

Absolutely superb service. Jeff, the plumber, arrived exactly when promised. He looked at all four service issues and gave a written estimate of the costs. He was personable, had a good sense of humor, was great when our three-year-old son wanted to "help," and was thoroughly professional. He replaced the leaking faucet first. Then he replaced the ice maker hose. He was honest and said it probably would never give us trouble, but we had had problems with a leaking hose in the past and the small cost of replacing the hose now was minimal compared to the repair costs from damage caused by the old leaking hose. Next he snaked out the plugged laundry drain. He brought his own drop cloths and cleaned up everything afterward. Then, while he was attending to the furnace, he had us run a load of laundry to make sure there was no residual problem. He checked the operation of the furnace and we were good to go. I'd have him back in a minute if (when) I need additional plumbing services. And at the end he asked me if we were Angie's List members (I had forgotten to mention this to him) and gave us the 5% discount. Outstanding service.
Description of Work: We combined multiple scheduled services at one time. The primary service was to clear a clogged laundry drain which was backing up. We also had them repair a leaking lavatory faucet, replace an ice maker plastic hose with a steel braided hose, and perform fall maintenance on the furnace.

I called Washington Plumbing and Heating to look at the kitchen plumbing and resolve problems reported by the current tenants. In doing so I also asked him to look at a few of the other issues and he identified the problems and risks associated with the existing plumbing. Jeff was very professional and very much matter of fact about all the issues, helping me to understand what the problems were and why they were a problem. It was totally informational with no push or pressure to repair anything. The kitchen plumbing required doing work on common piping that was the responsibility of the condo association. Jeff worked with the them to gain access to another condo unit (which not currently occupied) so that the work could be completed. This meant coming back a few days later and waiting about a bit to obtain entry to the adjoining unit. I rated the price as excellent as the water heater replacement was definitely less than the cost I incurred a few years back to have a water heater replaced at my own house. Overall, the work was very professional and much appreciated.
Description of Work: Replumbed a the plumbing for the kitchen sink in a condo that I rent. The existing plumbing which I inherited when I bought the unit was obviously a poorly done handyman job that was causing problems with the dishwasher and drainage. Also, replaced a water heater that was another handyman plumbing job that was a disaster waiting to happen. Lastly, replaced a shower head and fixed a loose shower control. Basically brought the unit up to shape with regard to the plumbing.

A very high water bill indicated a water leak. Water company rep indicated it was our problem. I contacted Washington Plumbing and Heating on the morning of 4/29. A representative was at the house within 2 hours. He fully explained the process/steps in locating a leak, explained the charges for each step, and put everything in writing. Within in 1-1/2 hours, he had identified the issue as a cracked water meter, which is the water company's responsibility and wrote up a report. A second visit by the water company the next day confirmed the problem and the water meter was replaced by the water company. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the representative, Jeff. I will use Washington Plumbing and Heating again and refer them to friends.

I was blown away by what a good experience we had especially as a weekend emergency call. We expected to have to wait a long time for someone to show up and to get a huge bill when they were done but Jeff showed up within an hour and a half and the bill was a fraction of what we expected. Jeff was super friendly, clean and professional when he arrived. He was honest about his charges and offered the cheapest fixes first and explained our options. He went under the house (which is worth $250 alone to me...yuck!) and let us know we have some other issues that may arise with rusted pipes in the future. He took the time to show my husband the water shut off down at the street as well as the meter and how to test if you really have a leak etc. All of this on a sunny Saturday afternoon when I'm sure he could have been in a rush to go home and enjoy the weekend himself since this was emergency call in work. We couldn't have been happier with the whole experience and will recommend this company to everyone we know who needs a plumber in our area. There was a $50 charge to have someone come out (reasonable compared to others) so that was included in the price above and the work itself only cost $200. There were no charges for travel time or weekend time that I saw.
Description of Work: We had an outdoor faucet that was leaking pretty badly and causing the water to run constantly under the house. The outdoor faucet had to be replaced and work had to be done both from under the house (the nasty crawl space) and on the outdoor front faucet.

I had a slow/clogged drain for some time, but wanted to wait to call them out because I knew I was putting together a laundry room remodel and wanted them to do both at the same time. By the time I finally called them out, they were able to schedule me in during the week of Christmas despite other emergency calls. The drain was really clogged badly and it took some doing to clear the line, but they didn't give up and got the drain flowing smoothly again. They also had to go under my house to run water and drain line for my laundry room remodel. I've been told in the past that I had the WORST crawl space EVER. They agreed with that sentiment, but didn't complain in the least! The work was performed perfectly. I really appreciate how courteous they are and how they lay drop cloths and pay very close attention to details. They tested everything before leaving to insure it all worked perfectly with NO leaks. I always feel like I can trust these guys. I love that peace of mind!

8:30 AM I walked into my garage to check on my furnace and found an entire section of the garage ceiling was dripping water. I shut off the water to my house. I also shut off my furnace (water from the leak was dripping on it). After checking with Angie's list I called Washington Plumbing and Heating, they said they could have somebody at my house in an hour. True to his word, Jeff arrived on time. Jeff was courteous, professional and quickly determined what the problem was. He provided an accurate quote and promptly repaired the leak. This involved cutting and removing 2 sections of drywall, removing the burst section of pipe and soldering a new section. He also recommending replacing the water shut off gate valve to better isolate the outside bib with a ball valve - which I agreed to. Jeff replaced the valve and tested the line and demonstrated there were no leaks. He also recommended I run some pressurized air through the line to ensure that all the water was removed. Jeff also took the time to clean up the area, removing the dry wall and vacuuming up the water and debris from the repair - which I greatly appreciated. Next Jeff took a look at my furnace which I had shut off. When I turned the furnace back on it would cycle on with one burner and them immediately shut off. Jeff determined that moisture from the leak was keeping all the burners from igniting. Within minutes he had corrected the problem and my furnace ignited properly. I think it is quite a benefit to have a repair person that can work on either plumbing or heating problems because they are often related. Jeff and Washington Plumbing and Heating did a great job and I highly recommend them.

For the laundry room remodel, Konstantine came out himself to look the job over and determine proper drain and water supply location and provide a bid. He had to coordinate with my general contractor who was installing the cabinets and other work in the area. The estimate was fair and the work was performed on time and to perfection. I have found his work to be at the highest standard possible, and I'm not very easy to please, just ask my boyfriend. Not only is he and his plumbers extremely knowledgeable, but they are clean, respectful, reliable and thorough.
Description of Work: I have used this plumbing contractor over the years for many projects from Kitchen & bath remodels, to running gas pipe to the kitchen for a gas range/oven, running gas for a patio gas grill and drain clearing. My current project is a laundry room remodel where we needed to add a laundry sink. He needed to add water supply lines and a drain. He also needed to coordinate the work with my general contractor who was installing the cabinets and other finishes.
