Do not use this company; they will rip you off! I decided to try this company out as they were offering a special $150 gas fireplace service and my pilot light was having some trouble staying on. The technician came out (he didn't have any tools, which should have been a red flag) and said that my fireplace was a "Honeywell system" that was recalled and no longer had any replacement parts. He said it would be $1500 for a conversion kit to replace everything and that was what needed to be done. I thought this sounded suspect, as research online suggested that the unit probably just needed to be cleaned... maybe needed a new thermocouple. I called a real fireplace service company (m&d fireplace services llc) and they came out for $250, fully cleaned the unit, repainted it (as the old paint was beginning to chip) and, after a thorough clean, it works like new... very glad I didn't get swindled into paying $1500! Stay away!

This company was recommended by Angi's to service our fireplace. It was turning off intermittently. After a 30 minute analysis we were told a controller was burnt out and was a very expensive part because it controlled all the functions of the gas fireplace- ignition, shut off, etc. They did not present us with a contract nor provide detailed pricing and told us because of the price of the part the cost would be $1200 to replace it, $1320 with tax. After the technician told us he'd call to schedule an install appointment when they located the part he told us we had to pay 50% of the cost up front per Angi's policy. We signed no contract and they presented no contract. He called back a couple hours later saying he found the part and came back to install it which took 10 minutes. We asked for the burnt out part and they reluctantly handed it over. They seemed to be in a hurry to get out the door at that point when they saw my husband looking up the part on the internet. Turns out the exact replacement part cost $59 at both Walmart, Amazon and other providers. We have called them back multiple times with no reply and also filed a complaint via Angi's and the better business bureau. Although Angi's says they do not get in the middle of price disputes this does not meet their "happiness clause" or clause stating they vet their recommended suppliers to ensure they are charging a fair price. I would not recommend working with this company at all. We have no problem paying a pay a fair price for the 40 minutes of labor but the part they said cost "hundreds" was only $59. Total rip off and they disappear when you try and call back with a complaint. We have also used Angi's for several projects and shame on them as well. I've attached the part they removed and the same part available via Amazon and Walmart .

Gave an inaccurate estimate and charged double. Would not hire again.

Very well. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and they were on time and very professional. They took photos so they could show us exactly what the problems were, and did an excellent job of making the necessary repairs and then cleaning the chimney.

Quick to respond and schedule service! Sean, the technician, was absolutely wonderful. He thoroughly swept the chimney and cleaned up better than any outfit we have had over the 30 years we have owned our home. He was part way up the inside of the chimney taking pictures, as well as from the roof top and outside. He found some serious problems which the technician, from the last three years and from a different company, never found. In fact, I don’t ever recall pictures being taken of the inside of our fireplace and chimney. We have hired them to do all of the necessary repairs and I will update my review after all work is done.

this company was running a special $145 for chimney cleaning and inspection, but when they actually showed up, they said chimney was too dirty and asked a lot more money (more than 2x). I really don't like this "Bait and Switch" sales tactic.

After requesting a quote for an inspection, United Home Services called back right away and were able to schedule me within a couple days. Our chimney was in bad shape, but they were able to get it all fixed up quickly. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. Very good experience.

They arrived on time and performed excellent service for a great price. I will certainly use them again.

It went fine, I guess, but they told us we needed a deep clean and there were cracks and the chase needed to be replaced, for a ridiculously high price. A "foreman" showed up at the beginning to try and sell us all this, then left the workers. It seems like they only said we needed all this after they asked how long it had been since we had it cleaned. It ended up costing double what we quoted, though we declined the expense chase replacement which we are sure can be done for one third the cost.

I would give them an A but they said they would show up between 2p and 4p. I took time off of work for this. They did not show up and called at 5:07p I was in the shower so I didn’t answer. The next day they called me again and they were apologetic so I gave them another chance. I’m glad I did. They were neat and clean and in and out of my house within an hour. I recommend this company!

Work started well but ended really bad. The quote process was fine. We paid $4500 for the job. Brand new chimney liner, waterproofing 2 chimneys, crown seal. The outdoors work was done well. The indoor one not so much. Our stove wood chimney wasn't put back properly and was damaged. It is not usable right now. I called 3 or 4 times. They came once and noticed the damaged and that proper chimney sealant was missing. The person claimed he didn't have the right sealant with him and needed to order it. Well, they never came back. I called several times and left messages but I was ignored and my chimney is still not functional and still damaged.

It went great. Two fellows came out, very professional and polite, and respectful of COVID concerns. Our wood chimney was in terrible shape and they did a great job. Seems thorough. We saw the amount of junk, wow. But the hearth and surround stayed pristine. On inspection, cracks in mortar were found in a couple of different places, so we had some fixes made -- they showed us before photos to see the damage, and after photos to see what they had done and the quality of the work -- subtle, crisp, clean. There wasn't any pressure to do the work, which I appreciated. I was told we would get an email of our invoice with photos attached, which we didn't, but I did see the photos and I have the written paperwork for the job so no great loss. We appreciated them enough to schedule a different service with them next week.

While they did a good job in the 2 1/2 hours they were here and were up-front about pricing I felt the pricing was excessive.

They were on time, efficient and effective.

They were great to work with, clean, neat and serviced some of the other condos in my building the the same day.

He was very responsive and came out the next day and the work was completed by 4pm. He did a good job and took extra care with some of the grout work.

Technician arrived on time and took snapshots of all 4 tenants' chimneys and inspected from the roof. That's when the $125/chimney (2 chimneys/4 fireplaces), went up to "basic" cleaning on 2 at $125 each and "deep cleaning" on 2 at $250 each; along with repairs, chimney caps, etc, amounting to total quote of $5800...written down on technician (Jacob's) notepad. I agreed to the cleaning, but said I wanted to get 2nd opinion before making repairs and asked for a written quote/outline of recommended work (or at least to take a photo of his notepad quote). I was told he would send me an outline of work and quoted cost, but now, over a week later, have still not received it. This feels like a "bait and switch" scenario, leaving me to wonder if the work is really necessary in the first place, as all fireplaces work/draft just fine. I am very disappointed in their followup - if they are legitimate company. I have texted Santiago in their office, and emailed a few times now with no response.

We were quoted $145.00 on the phone. After the work was done, he presented a bill for $350.00. We paid it, but I am not sure why it was more than quoted.
