Description of Work: It went fine, but they could not adjust the price to honor voucher. Very easy to work with, description on Angie's list made it hard to know if I had a single or double spring. That coupled with no way to adjust voucher to match service needed.

Description of Work: Lubricated the garage door rollers, inspected the entire door and helped replace the burned out light bulb on the garage door opener - did not charge to help me do this - Jay the technican was excellent.

Description of Work: tuned up and inspected the two garages. The rollers were fine so there was no replacement. Therefore, the tune-up and inspection of the two garages were done in about 15 minutes in total.

Description of Work: Rainier Door came out to replace a broken spring on my garage door. They had a standard fixed pricing for this service that seemed consistent with that charged by other companies on Angie's List. Setting up the appointment was easy by phone. The serviceman arrived 15 minutes early. The service was performed well and efficiently, including regreasing some bearings that made the door operate more quietly.

Description of Work: The technician arrived late, but I was notified of the problem. Dave, the technician explained the problems, and promptly replaced the springs on both garage doors, replaced the bullies, and fully adjusted the operation of the closure. He was prepared for any unforeseen problems such as missing nuts and pulley parts. Totally professional. I recommend Rainier Door.

Description of Work: Installed a replacement opener for an 8" double wide metal garage door. |The Liftmaster 8550 opener appears to be a great upgrade over my 15 year old Genie opener. Super quiet, lots of programmable features like auto close if you drive off and forget to close door, can link to your smart phone, motion detector in garage to automatically turn on light, programmable features at keypad in garage, even a thermometer in garage keypad...woohoo?? |Installer arrived on time but spent 15 minutes on phone in his van in driveway before starting work. Upon commencing job he immediately tried to sell me door rollers until I told him I personally replaced the rollers less than two years prior. I was then informed that the type I had chosen (Genie brand) would not last. (Original, same style, lasted 10+ years and were still in pretty good shape when I replaced them). Also tried to tell me that one of the two door springs had been replaced at some point and the other needed replacement now...maybe. I bought this house when it was 18 months old. I don't believe a single spring of the original pair was replaced prior to me purchasing this house. I know that upselling their products and services is necessary, but I hate them misrepresenting a homeowners needs just to make a sale. |The installation went fine except that I needed to provide the installer with a square drive bit so that he could remove the original door track mounting screws. Who doesn't carry square drive bits in their tool box nowadays? |Two final things that I didn't care for was that the tech took the original safety sensors with him even though my remaining single garage door used the same sensor and I could have saved them for spares. And when I asked him about programming the factory remote buttons in my wife's SUV he basically blew me off and said they don't deal with that because programming in-car factory systems sometimes need "translators" and/or could take up to 20 minutes to deal with. He actually told me that if they spent that kind of time dealing with factory remotes, they wouldn't be able to get their work done. Essentially, "you're on your own, figure it out". I'll let you know how the programming of my wife's car goes. |In closing, I really like the new closer. The installed price was great! If the closer lasts as long as my original closer, I'll be truly satisfied. |I hope I don't have to spend a bunch of time or money getting my wife's in car buttons to function with this new opener.
