Rainier Garage Door

It went very well. I called and was greeted with a very friendly and knowledgeable associate. She set up an appointment for the next day. The technician called prior to confirm and then arrived right on time. He was very professional, friendly and clearly was good at what he does.

It was great. He showed up on time, worked on the door and explained what he had done. Very informative and didn't try to upsell me or condescend about my "antique" doors. Will definitely use them again in the future when I inevitably need to get a new door.

They did a fantastic job with a tricky low clearance door. They were very patient helping us determine which style we wanted to order. Installation was great. We are very happy.

I called the company after hours hoping to get someone to help with my unreponsive garage door. I happened to get someone who was very helpful who explained that they could get help to me the following day around 1pm. When she found out that I was unable to get the car out, the manager said he could get there by 8:30 am the next day. She gave me a quote and told me that it would take about 30 minutes to repair. The next day at 8:25 am Jason arrived and by 8:55 he replaced the torsional spring and the garage was working. He also evaluated the other garage door and provided some maintenance/lubrication. They were punctual, helpful, reponsive and fair. They applied the Angie's List coupon automatically.

Becky returned my call immediately and detailed garage door opener options. Doug came the following day and was able to quickly repair my dysfunctional opener. He also did minor maintenance resulting in my garage door opening and closing more quietly, replaced the missing opener button next to the back door and provided a new remote control to replace our missing one.

These guys were great. Came out on Monday to diagnose the problem. Garage door needed to be replaced and it was done by Wednesday.

We wanted to replace our old, malfunctioning, noisy chain-driven garage door openers with new, quiet belt-driven models. Doug, the installer, showed up right on time and explained everything he planned to do, then got right to work. At one point when I checked in to see how he was progressing, he pointed out to me that the bearings in the old rollers on each garage door were in poor condition (some had failed entirely), which was contributing to the noise and preventing the doors from moving smoothly in their tracks. He offered to replace the old rollers as well, which I approved. He finished the job on both doors and cleaned up after himself very quickly, including hauling off the old units. He then programmed the new remotes and keypad and explained how to operate the new door controls. The new openers work perfectly, and they're whisper-quiet even if you're standing right beneath them. Doug was friendly, courteous and professional throughout the entire process. The final cost turned out to be greater than our original estimate, but that was because of the additional parts and labor required to replace all of the rollers on both garage doors. We definitely got our money's worth from Rainier Garage Door, and would highly recommend them.

They were pretty good. I really love the door, and it works very well. Their prices seemed reasonable. I hired him because he seemed so knowledgeable, and the people who worked for him were very nice. It was a great experience.

Jason was prompt, arriving right at the start of the appointment window. When I showed him the broken spring, he got right to work. Super professional, he had everything he needed at his fingertips. No wasted time or energy. He could have done this job blindfolded. Installed beefier springs, I expect these will last twice as long as the originals. Even took a little extra time to do some minor tune ups (adjust cable tension, install stopper bolt, lube all hinges.) If/when I need any other garage door service, I'll definitely be calling Rainier.

I went to Angie's List to find a garage door repair firm. Rainier Garage Door was local, and had received nothing but high ratings. I called Rainier, and they provided me an estimate of the work that would take place. The person setting up the appointment informed me that the on-site visit would cost $89, which would also cover the first 30 minutes of labor. She said that in almost every case, the problem can be fixed in the 30 minute time frame. I set up an appointment to have the technician come to my home and perform the repairs. The person showed up on time, diagnosed the problem (faulty sensors) and began repairs. As advertised, the repairs were completed in the 30-minute time frame. There was an additional cost for replacement of the sensors. However, the technician also made several adjustments to my springs and other opening hardware during the 30-minute repair period. The door now works better than it ever had before.

They were great. My garage door was not opening. They looked at it. It is a very old door; about 30 years old. There was no way it could be fixed because the foundation has settled the door; it was stuck. He suggested that I get a new door in time because of the age of the door. For now, he picked the door itself and sawed down part of it so that it does not get stuck anymore. He fixed the problem. He did not charge me anything at all. He gave me an estimate for a new door. Their service, their commitment to what they believe in and the fact that they did not take me for a ride was what I liked. They got my door working again. I called them on Saturday morning and asked if they could have somebody out between 10.30 and 12. The person was here by quarter to 12.

I called to ask for an appointment on New Years Day. I received a callback on the 2nd to schedule an appointment that same morning. He gave us a window of between 10:30 and noon, and arrived about 11 AM. He was courteous, explained the issue with the cables (which had broken) and wrote up an estimate to include those parts that were broken, were the wrong size, and were worn out. We opted to leave some parts as they were, so he offered to lube them and make them work better. He even lubed and adjusted the other door and opener. He was quick to finish the repairs, took the old parts to recycle, and went on his way. It could not have been any better!

Jason appeared on time, around 6 p.m. It was clear that he knew garage door openers forwards and backwards. I was put immediately at ease that I had contacted the right company to take care of the problem. Changing the part containing the gear that had literally become shredded was fairly complicated and he worked on it for a hour or hour and a half. Considering the time and material involved, I thought the price was quite reasonable. $142 included the tax. I will definitely call this company again when I need garage door services.

Jason gave a comprehensive bid that was accurate. He was pleasant and prompt. The guy who installed the doors knew his business and helped move some heavy items that were in the way. It was Fabulous!

Went well, Earlier job finished early so they showed up early (which was fine with me) and they called first to say they were coming. I called in the morning they showed up later that morning. Tech did a thorough job, explained everything to me. Was pretty fast and garage door sounds better than before he came while it moves.

We thought we had to replaced the whole garage door opener but he fixed a chain instead. He tuned and lubed it. He also adjusted the spring tension on both doors and openers as well. He told us we didn't need to replaced the motor and he was very honest. We also received a 10% Angie's List discount.

It couldn't have gone more smoothly! I called for an estimate, and they explained the options and prices right over the phone, very clearly. I made my decision, called back and scheduled. They arrived within the window, worked diligently, wrapped up, explained everything about the new unit. Done! You can't imagine a smoother, easier transaction than this!

An excellent company. The tech, Doug, is a straight shooter and a real pro. He mentioned that some other garage door companies have techs that work on commission and they'll try to sell you unnecessary parts, and/or overcharge for parts & labor. Go with Rainier.

Researched garage door companies on Angie's List. Contacted Rainier Garage Door, made an appointment for the sales person to visit my home. The sales person arrived on time, was very knowledgeble about overhead garge doors, provided excellent information and samples. Provided a firm fair price for the job which I accepted. Door was installed the next working day. The door matches my house architecturally, it is of high quality.

We ordered garage doors through another company, and after the third install re-schedule I started looking for someone more reliable. I called Rainier Door and explained my situation and they were able to come out and give an estimate the next day. I was impressed with the punctuality and proffessionalism, so we decided to go with them and cancel the order with the other company. Rainier was very punctual with updates on the process, coming out to take final measurements, and the final install. We wanted a specific style of door, but they were up front with us that it wouldn't look like I expected it to since the sizing was custom for our opening. That was a huge piece of info that the other company left out. I would have been pretty upset with how it turned out if we had gone that route. Top notch service - they knew what I expected and made sure I knew exactly what I would be getting. We ended up ordering a different style door so it would look good with our home. The install went great. The installer was very curteous and efficient. I was extremely impressed with the job he did, and I can tell he takes great pride in his work. Everything fits correctly and looks wonderful, even though our garage is challening to get straight since it's old and has settled a bit here and there. The wiring is neat and tidy, and straight as an arrow where it runs across the wall and ceiling studs. It's been a couple months since the install and we still smile every time we drive up and open the garage door. If you need a new garage door, I highly recommend Rainier Garage Door.

Installer was very knowledgeable. All work was done very efficiently - within half-hour minimum charge. Only additional charge was for new bearing plates ($50)

I called them Sunday morning at 9 am to ask if they could repair our garage door. (Sometime on Saturday, it broke and when we tried to operate it, it made a very loud angry grinding sound and the door would not open.) They were able to come out that same morning and had the door in complete working order withing 45 minutes of arrival. Jason (the on site repair person) inspected the door and knew immediately what needed to be fixed. He gave us a couple of options, but didn't pressure us in any way to go with the most expensive option. He was honest and fair, and did excellent work. I even called them back the next day to ask a question about pressure sensitivity and rather than trying to sell us on another home visit, they explained over the phone what to look for and how to adjust the setting.

Overall very good experience. We were having a problem with the outside garage door controller. We called one other place and then I remembered we are Angie List members so checked the list for garage door repairers. First on the list was Rainier Garage Repair. Their scheduler was very helpful and she was able to send someone out the same day who arrived within the time range she had said he would. The repair person was helpful, professional and did the work that was needed. They had the best price for the services.

The installer worked tirelessly for 9+ hours and did an outstanding job removing the old doors and installing the new ones.
