Rainier Garage Door

Uma called before coming out and was on time. He was pretty cool and went about the task at hand. As mentioned before, we knew we needed to replace the rubber at the bottom of the door, and I took some photos of the door so they could order it for us before coming out. It was a great experience, and we're glad we did it because the garage door opener was probably installed in the early 90's and I'm sure has never had any maintenance with the previous homeowners. I feel like we extended it's usefulness thanks to the $99.00 tune up offer of Rainier Garage Door. Good job!

Well, it was disappointing to have them come all the way out only to tell me that the parts on my garage door were no longer the type they could find for replacement. They should specify if there is a cutoff for how old your garage as to whether they can service it.

Rainier garage door couldn't perform the service because my garage door type is not within their service ability.

Everyone from the people that do the scheduling to the technician that came to my house were all very professional and very personable as well. They did an excellent job, actually corrected the pull on garage door opener as well as changed the rollers and made sure everything was working 100%. I was very happy with their service and will be calling them again to do another job for me.

I very much appreciated the complete explanation of what he was doing and a general overview of how electric garage doors work. There was no sign that he'd been there when he left, in fact I could swear my garage was cleaner than it had been when he arrived!

Garage door opener stopped working, would raise to o[pen position, would not close. Coincidentally Rainier Garage Door Co. was offering an Angie's List Big Deal door tune up. Made appointment for early next morning. Technician Shelby arrived on-time, evaluated the situation thoroughly explaining his findings. Not only did Shelby complete the door tune-up, including new rollers, he replaced two frayed cables (which had gone undetected) and repaired a loose bracket header(?), and some adjustments to springs and track. This door had been installed early 1997 and never received any mtce, exception I once I lubed the track. I was impressed and appreciative of the attention to detail Shelby exhibited and his can-do attitude. On completion, the door works perfectly, will definitely use Rainier Garage Door in the future.

The service went very well, The technician arrived on time after providing aphone call to tell me he was on the way. The service provided was prompt and very professional.

First Shelby listened to my problem. My new garage door opener(m50) would not close properly and the company that had installed it ,had not left a remote control to operate the door. I had already purchase a remote from Rainier because I was left Hi-dry by the FirstResponseGarageDoor company. Shelby also notice my sensors for stopping the door were not on. He proceeded to find the cause of the problem. He then programmed the remotes(2) and finalized the operation of both remotes. He completed his paperwork and asked if I had any other concerns.

The technician showed up in time. He changed all rollers on one of the garage door, and told us that was it. We have a three-car garage, but the deal, according to him, only covers one door, not the garage itself as a whole system. We questioned what kind of "Big Deal" this is. He claimed that there was a $60+ service fee, and all roller wheels costs about $20 ... So you got the idea. Then he started to suggest to replace all springs for $400+. At that point, we said no and thanked him for coming out. We contacted another garage door company for second quote. They replaced all springs for $300, and told us that the roller wheels on our other two garage doors are pretty good, and no need to replace. So basically, we paid $99 for something not even necessary.

It went great! Not so much clinking when opening & closing.

Technician arrived on time. Was super friendly. We had a bunch of other services getting done around the house for a big party. He did the job super quickly and cleaned up as if nothing were even done. Gave some suggesstions as to changes that needed to be made to the springs, but there was no pressure to buy or add services. Just a FYI and something to pay attention to. Doors roll smoother and quieter. Awesome job and would highly recommend for all!

I moved into a condo and the garage door was very noisy. It rattled and sounded as though it was going to fall apart. The service person from Rainier came and looked at the door as it was in operation. Almost all the nuts and bolts were loose. He tightened those, did a little lubrication and recommended that once a year I use a little WD40 on the joints. It took very little time and now the door is very quiet.

Fantastic service. The doors have not operated smoother....ever! Even better than brand new. The service was exceptional, the quality could not have been better and the promptness was the best I have seen. Nice installer also. The guarantee is good also. If something major goes wrong, I will call Rainier Garage Door.

It went well. It was a decent deal.

It went great. the installer quickly got to work installing the replacement rollers first. once that was complete he worked on addressing the garage door which wasn't closing. One of the rollers mounting bracket needed to be adjusted for the garage door opener to actually close properly which he took care of. The installer also evaluated the doors and found them to be in reasonable condition and not needing immediate replacement. All in all, a great use of time and money.

Serviceman was on time, fixed the garage quickly, was polite and did great work.

The service was good, but the technician chipped a side of our house with their van. They will send somebody out to fix it. They were prompt about that. The person will come at the end of the month. I will update the review depending on when that's fixed.

Rainier Garage Door had been out to my home two times to repair our old wood garage door and the last time they were out, Jason told us that it needed to be replaced. Well 3 years later, the garage opener was the first to go, then the door was off track & very difficult to open. I didn't want to put anymore money into fixing it, so I called a few companies - one never called me back (they were also not on Angie's List so excluded them from my search). The 2nd company (which is on your list) gave me a lower quote over the phone, but when she came out to look at our set up, she recommended that I go with a more expensive side mount garage door opener because of the difficulty to install a regular motor in the existing space. Also, there was a separate charge to remove and haul way the old garage door/opener, and the final quote was about $400 more than I expected. When I called Rainier, I told Jason that it was recommended that I go with the side mount opener. He said he didn't take note of that when he was out last time so wanted to come out and see exactly what was needed. He agreed that the existing space for the garage door opener was tight and could prove more difficult for the installer, but told me "that's not your problem, it's ours to figure out." I loved that! (Big smile). Also, before he left he quickly replaced two rollers (free of charge) so I could lift the door easier...which he didn't have to do...and I was very appreciative! He emailed me the quote later the same day as promised, and it was within my budget after Angie's List discount (another Big smile). The door was replaced a week later, and I am very happy with the product and service provided by Rainier Garage Door! Thank you Rainier & Angie's List!!

They came and tuned up the doors, but, in the process, they actually warped or broke some of the track on the (admittedly old) doors. After that, instead of sticking like they had been, before (they DID fix that), the doors frequently simply came out of the track and had to be laboriously brought back onto the track in order to either open OR close. This was BEYOND inconvenient.
