They were in and out in one morning. The cleanup was good.

The crew arrived on time at 8:30 a.m. and were finished at about 10:30 a.m. Both trees were up against a chain link fence, but that didn't faze the crew. They cleaned up the area well, but forgot to put the gate and a small section of fence back in place.. They did forget to leave the chips, but that isn't a big deal. There were two sections of firewood about 6' long that weren't cut all the way through, so I had to finish cutting them with a bow saw.

The crew showed up and introduced themselves. They were respectful and friendly. I showed them the trees to remove and they got started. It was quite fascinating to watch the one climb these tall trees and cut down the higher pieces and then fell the remaining trunk. Two men on the ground gave support and chopped the logs into smaller pieces. We did not have them remove the wood as it all went into a green area. They seemed to have great skill in determining which way to make the trees fall, and to land them in the right places. I asked them to cut one stump a bit lower, and they complied without question or qualm. They finished much quicker than expected, and we are pleased.

I called on the weekend and left a message. Vic got back to me promptly and stated he would come by and look at the property to come up with an estimate on Monday while I was at work. Vic called me Monday night with and discussed the best options for completing the work. He was very knowledgeable and helped me feel at ease that the job would be done right. The job was scheduled for Thursday and stump grinding either that day or the next. The work was completed on Thursday. I didn’t see the work performed as I was at work. When I was able to see the completed work, the trees and stumps gone and the yard was free of debris. Except for the bare ground where the trees were, sawdust raked into the grass, dents in the ground from falling wood and tracks from vehicles used to perform the work, I couldn’t tell the trees were ever there.

I saw there truck doing work around the corner. I had several bids from other tree cutters some for less and some for more. The two for more were way more!!! The one for less was not liscensed and bonded. I asked Vic to come over and give me a bid. He was super prompt! Very professional and was clearly more knowledgable then the other estimators that had come to my house. His bid was clear and almost the same as the guy who was not bonded or liscensed. He didnt try to sell me, he educated me on what was the best salution and actually convinced me to do less work then I originally thought should be done. This was probably the best experience from a service contractor I have had in 15 years of home ownership. They came in did what they said they would do, cleaned up and were out of there un two days!

When we got home that day the tree was gone and everything was cleaned up neat and tidy. With the tree gone it has opened up our driveway and house to more light and we can widen our driveway. We're super happy we decided to have the tree taken out and with the work that was performed. This is the 2nd time we've used Norwest Tree Service and both times were extremely happy with the work they did. We will definitely use them again for future tree work.

They did a great job! We were able to get an appointment quickly; they did a great job cleaning up and hauling away the debris.

Gary and crew who removed tree and Dustin who did stump grinding were professional and courteous and did great work. The original estimate was incorrect since it was for grinding a soft wood stump vs hard wood stump. I didn't mind paying more than the estimate since it was underquoted but I was dismayed that Vic (owner?) indicated he was considering docking the workers' pay if I didn't pay the additional amount. I feel the workers get an A for professionalism but Vic a C with resulting B for professionalism.
