Easy to schedule the appointment about 3 or 4 business days out, and at a time that was convenient for me. In a small strip mall, so free parking. They were ready for me when I arrived, and explained the difference between the and quot;replacement retail valueand quot; (i.e., and quot;insurance valueand quot;) and the realistic and quot;fair market value.and quot; We were interested in the FMV, since one of our fellow heirs wanted to buy it. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Everyone was friendly and professional. We used the low range of the estimated FMV.

We had 17 items in a family member estate. The appraiser gave fair market value on valuable pieces leaving the cost of a formal appraisal to the beneficiary. Smart move. When completed the appraiser even updated our little Excel worksheet with value.

I booked an appointment over the phone. I had to wait about a week to get a time that worked for my schedule. I waited while we appraised the four most valuable pieces. I left the remaining pieces and picked them up a few days later. Despite my initial hesitation, I would definitely feel confident to leave high value pieces and pick them up later. They were very thorough and did an excellent job documenting everything. This was my first time working with an appraiser, so I didn't know what I didn't know. They explained everything and how it works. Despite a lack of planning on my part, they did a great job with a short turn around window. For the high value pieces, the pricing makes sense. For the lower value items, I think I made a bit of a bad decision to have such a thorough appraisal performed. Overall, they did an excellent job and provide a great service. I would definitely use them again.

They produce a nice little report for each ring describing it and its value. The report includes color photographs of the ring. One of the staff walked me through the details of each report. Scheduling the appointment was very easy. They offer lunch appointments, so I was able to drop off the rings, grab some lunch, then finish waiting in their lobby after lunch. Appraisal of the three rings took about 90 minutes.

Was a very interesting and enlightening experience. Ted Irwin was very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. He looked at over 30 pieces of jewelry in about an hour and a half. Helped me determine which pieces were worth conducting a more formal appraisal on for insurance pieces. Provided me with estimates of resale value versus insurance value. Overall a very positive experience. I will be bringing back the pieces of jewelry that I'll be keeping and using for a formal insurance appraisal.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS EXCELLENT. THEY ALLOWED ME TO WAIT FOR MY JEWELRY WHILE THEY PERFORMED THE APPRAISAL. THE APPRAISAL WAS VERY DETAILED AND WAS PERFORMED BY AN GRADUATE GEMOLOGIST.
