Mercer Island Floor Covering

Tobias and Don restretched my fairly new carpet. Three years previous install by Empire, carpet rolled in every room. It was a $10,000. Flooring job but Empire would not stand behind install. They said no install warranty after 1 yr. Tobias and Don came and gave me a bid the job. They stayed in communication with us. They were on time and friendly. Job looks good. I would hire them again.

It was very easy to set up a day and time. They came home in 2 days after my call. They repair the space that I asked and for that, they need it some carpet that I had in a walking closet. They took that out, repaired it, and he offer me for free a piece that match good in the closet. They were fast, easy and very convenient in price. He told me that he wants to see the clients happy, so he offers me lifetime warranty.

Tobias was communicative and friendly. Gave me a heads up when he was on his way and updated me when he encountered traffic that he would be a little behind schedule. Happy with the work performed.

Tobias called to confirm our appointment, showed up on time and was friendly, professional and efficient and reasonably priced.

Would not lock in a time. I had to call him the morning he was scheduled to come out so he could let me know when he would show up. I called and he went into too much detail about how a seemingly bigger job came up so he was doing that instead. This happened twice so I told him I would find someone else

Tobias, the owner, was a no show/no call on the date the floor was scheduled to be installed. Rescheduled for 2 days later and came to install 30 feet of laminate by himself - 1 man team. Per his request, I had to find someone to come help him move the fridge. My mother in law and sister in law came over to help him move the refrigerator that the project lead informed him of that very morning and he agreed. Then he asked them to wait while he cut, so they could help him carry it up 2 flights of stairs to our kitchen. Wow! After the install, there were multiple, visible bubbles. He returned on 2 different days to fix them, however they just got worse. In the end, the floor had to be replaced. It looks really good now, but took almost 3 weeks to get it right. I will never use them again. Unprofessional and unreliable.

We bought a condo in Bellevue Washington and the previous owners had a carpet installed but it was poorly installed and within short order it developed rolls and bulges. We recalled the original installer to time and neither was successful and the rolls returned in short order. I called Tobias at Mercer Island Floor Covering. He came out the very next day. He called in advance to tell us he was on his way and arrived on time. They went right to work and solved our problem quickly and efficiently. Not only that but he moved the furniture at no extra charge. I would recommend him to anyone who needs carpeting installed for re-stretched.

We were very happy with the result. There were a lot of stairs and a couple needed a bit of fine tuning after the job was finished, but Tobias was there the same day I called to make the adjustments. Tobias and his long time helper were efficient and did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. They took out the old carpet and some of the padding and disposed of it for us. Before the job began, Tobias pulled up carpet here and there to check the condition of the pad. Most of it did not need replacement (except the stairs) which was a savings.

He did a fabulous job! He was on time and was careful to not damage the newly pained walls. He also was very pleasant to deal with and the most reasonable price we could find to install carpet in a 12'X15' bedroom ( $125.00). We will certainly use fim again for our carpet needs and I highly reccommend him to you for your carpet needs.
