Lakeville failed to deliver quality in their work, completed months after promised, failed to communicate around the job and went over budget without disclosing the increased costs. I would strongly urge anyone to look elsewhere for a partner on their home remodel. Our experience was extremely poor on all fronts. Our main mistake (aside from hiring Lakeville in the first place) was not firing them from the job earlier. Many of the problems we hired another company to fix which took additional time and money on an already over-budget, over-schedule job. You can see from the attached photos samples of the issues we faced which were catalogued by a third party. Note that these photos were taken at the completion of the job - not while it was in process. Additionally, there are construction defects that we will continue to live with which include: a fireplace built at the incorrect height, a wall for a recessed door outside of the master bedroom that was rebuilt incorrectly and now doesn’t hide the door, kitchen cabinets missing design elements that our architect designed, and a curved stair railing that is misaligned with the curve in the stairs. This company was poor in communication throughout and argumentative when we looked to fix defects as we discovered them during the process.

They did a good job. However, it took a little longer than it probably should have because they were working on multiple projects at the same time.

Lakeville Homes was very accomodating, helpful, and professional. I particularly appreciated the effort they made to work with the condo requirements (elevator reservations, garage parking, etc). Our condo is beautiful. I recommend Lakeville Homes to everyone who asks me!

We finished a full remodel of our home and Lakeville has been fantastic (aka Lakeville Homes). When we tell people we remodeled our house they always ask “so were you over time and over budget?” …we get to say everything was right on track! In the end, we even came in under budget. But don't get too excited about that part. I think our own discipline helped a lot and every project is different. We were lucky that our house (built in 1968) had no hidden problems. We did do our homework when selecting a company for this big project and it’s true what they say that beyond checking the BBB and references you need to like who you are going to work with. Lakeville has never pressured us in any way and has come up with some great ideas during the project. They are also very responsive to our questions via phone or email (which is great if you’re busy with work). We have also done our part by picking out most of our spec list before construction began and haven’t changed too many things during the process. Overall we are very happy and love our beautiful new home!
