I discovered a pool of water underneath my kitchen sink and checked all the hose connections, but they were all secure. I contacted Household Custom Services and left a voicemail describing the problem. Dan was prompt in returning my call, asked questions to judge the problem and determine appointment scheduling. He arrived at agreed upon time, was courteous and professional, and I am again enjoying having a working faucet to use!

Dan responded quickly to our request for bid. He had practical solutions to the kinds of problems any remodel inevitably uncovers and worked hard and long to get our project done before his planned vacation. The workmanship is superb, and you couldn't ask for a nicer guy. He really cares about his customers being happy. We plan to use him any time we need someone.

They were reliable and did the job. Their prices were reasonable and they didn't try to hike it up which is something I look for. The work they did was professional. I would absolutely use them again if needed.

It all went well.

I had a number of small, but hugely irritating, chores that needed doing. I put off getting them done because of earlier experiences with handymen who advertise in the neighborhood papers. I chose HCS because the hourly wage was less then other handymen on Angieslist. It was an excellent choice. Dan arrived on time and ready to work. He was knowledgable and eager to get to the job. He moved from task to task efficiently. He knew exactly what he was doing and how to do it. Not a moment of his three hours was wasted. He was extremely pleasant and very patient with the household dog and cat who were striving in every way to "assist" him. As he worked, he shared his impressive knowledge with me regarding tasks planned for another day. He carefully tallied his time - including the 5% first time discount and the senior discount. I think I got a real bargain for my money.

OK...first of all I had 3 bids on this job. The first one was twice the price of Dan's bid. The second one was a little higher but so much better than the first I decided to go with them. However, after informing that contractor that we wanted him to do the job, he never called back. Just disappeared! When I first heard of Dan's company, I emailed him and he immediately responded. He made an appointment, gave me a bid, and actually showed up! He did amazing work. I had a checker board type pattern in my tile and he made sure even the corners of my closet matched perfectly. Everything was clean, on time, and on budget. Even though I had told him by mistake that the floor was already prepared; it turned out I was wrong. However, he didn't charge me extra to fix it. I have sinced referred him to my daughter and she was equally pleased with his work.
