I was recently seeking a contractor on Angi for an urgent interior paint project at my home with quick turnaround time. This bedroom paint project included wall paint (2 colors; 1 accent wall), wall baseboard trim repair + paint, door trim repair + paint, door paint, and a plumbing panel replacement + paint. When I posted the request on Angi, Eugene from Honeycomb Construction called me within a minute after posting (Wow!). I explained my situation (baby on the way/arriving in weeks, nesting) and project details, and Eugene stopped by the same day to get a good look at room needing paint + repairs. Eugene was able to meet my familyâ s needs to get this room ready within one week. Although the estimated job timeline slid out by one day due to factors out of Eugeneâ s control (cold room on the basement floor, so paint takes longer to dry between coats), he did an excellent job with all the promised work: the paints of coat were even and full, the lines between the two colors of paint were crisp and clean, and the baseboard trim was looking sharp! Eugene does great work, heâ s really responsive and communicative throughout the process, heâ s really professional, and he is very kind. I will be hiring Eugene and Honeycomb Construction again for future home projects. Thank you!

Had SD Express (Honeycomb Construction) paint our garage and WOW - it made a huge difference. Overall very happy with the outcome and service provided by Eugeniu and his brother and would hire again (have already recommended him to family members). I sent Eugeniu an email and he replied promptly and came by for an in person visit to provide an estimate (I was only interested in prime / paint at first) but Eugeniu recommended that we mud / sand the walls first to give the garage a smoother finish. The estimate process was easy and when we agreed upon a date / time for service, Eugeniu was professional and arrived on time each day. Eugeniu and his brother covered the paint site with appropriate protective cover so the paint would not stain the floor or a few of our personal items that we left in the garage. They applied mud the first day, sand and prime the second day and painted the ceiling and walls the 3rd day (white ceiling and grey walls). The paint job made a huge difference - what was previously unfinished we now look forward to organizing and making it a useable space

Eugene and Ian were true processionals. They came on time and were well prepared for the job. Their attention to detail was very much appreciated, hence, it was no surprise to see the high quality of work. We recommend them without any reservations and will surely use their services again in the future.

Eugene was excellent and very professional. He finished the project on time and to the details. His pricing was much better than others with same quality. He did not stop his work till all my requests were completed. He exceeded my expectation. I have given several projects to Eugene and he finished them with fantastic quality and would do it again... Actually he is currently finishing a project and will do another one in near future.

First of all, Eugene was super fast and friendly! And Iâ ll say that it may have been the first time a construction/painting job has been done for me in the time originally quoted. The work was done efficiently and the quality is great. I have no complaints about these guys and plan to hire them again.

They don't properly sand the stain off wood, they just paint over everything. All the paint just peels off easily. Terrible we paid so much. Beware and do not use them. Go with a professional.

Eugene was great to work with! I had a very short timeline to complete my project and I was fortunate that he was available. He gave great advice on how to choose my colors, had this interesting tool that was able to allow him to match the existing color of the cabinets, and was awesome when it came to communication (huge for me). The work was terrific. I did a final walk through with him and he touched up my very minor issues. I found his price very fair for the quality of work done. I used him to paint a condo that I was listing for sale but I plan to use him in my own home at some point in the future.

Eugene has been great to work with. He is on-time, honest and reliable. We initially hired him for indoor painting but ended up hiring him for additional electrical jobs and also considering for exterior paint. He will surely be our go-to person for home-related tasks.

WE HAVE HIRED SD EXPRESS FOR 2 JOBS IN THE LAST MONTH. THIS TIME EUGENE AND IAN REMOVED THE POPCORN CEILING IN ALL BUT THE BEDROOMS. WHAT ALOT OF WORK AND MESS. LIKE BEFORE THEY DID A GREAT JOB. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS AND GLAD WE FINALLY HAD IT DONE BY SDEXPRESS. GREAT PEOPLE AND VERY SKILLED IN THE WORK THEY DO.

The bros were straight forward. No bs. I also asked them to do some painting job inside my house. The price was reasonable.

There was a couple of things I did not make clear in the beginning then Eugene started the work and I came to see how the progress was going. After seeing I realized I had not made myself clear in what I wanted and told Eugene and after already working an entire day he started all over again to meet my wishes with no extra charge. There was a small area of the job missed after completion that I did not notice until a couple days later. I texted Eugene and he came out and finished the job. I was very pleased with the work Eugene and his wife did. They are fast, reasonably priced and have very good customer service skills. Will hire again for sure!

We hired Eugen to paint our cabinets and to install a new backsplash in our kitchen. He did an excellent job with both. He paid attention to detail and he applied more layers of paint to the cabinets then originally planned. He stuck to his quote and didn t charge us any more even though he spent more time than he had estimated. He was efficient, friendly, and did a great job cleaning up afterwards.

I hired Eugene to paint ceilings in our bathrooms, master bedroom and kitchen which he accomplished very professionally in one day. As a small additional project, I asked him to repaint some trim around a closet that had been damaged by a leak from the roof. He scrapped off the old paint then applied a sealant before repainting. When the paint dried, it was full of minute cracks. So, I called him back and he realized that he inadvertently used the wrong type of sealant. He removed the sealant and paint and completely redid the job with the right sealant and the trim now looks great. It was a small mistake, but he promptly remedied the situation.
