GUTTER HELMET

This is the worst company I have hired to do work on my house. We hired gutter helmet in August 16 2017, and they promised to install the gutters weather permitting in 45 days. The problem started when they did not show up to the scheduled appointment to install the gutters. We had to repeatedly call them and leave voice messages because could not get a hold of anybody. They promised to install several times but would partially install something and would leave. It took them 90 days to install the gutters, in the meantime because our house had no gutters we suffered water damage. I tried to chat with the company about lowering the remainder of the bill but their department was a bully, saying they would not get in the middle of it and demanding full payment and dismissing their poor business performance. Stay way from this people.

They were efficient. They came when they said they would. They did the work. They cleaned up after and they left.

SINCE WE HAVE GUTTER HELMET ON THE BACK OF OUR HOUSE AND DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT AS LONG AS THE NOSE IS KEPT CLEAN, WE WANTED IT ALONG THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. OUR GUTTERS ALSO NEEDED REPLACING. WE CONTACTED THE GUTTER HELMET REPRESENTATIVE IN OREGON, GREG WILSON. THE CONTRACT WAS ERRONEOUSLY SENT TO THE WRONG PLACE THE FIRST TIME SO THAT CAUSED A DELAY. WE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE BELLEVUE OFFICE INFORMING US OF A TENTATIVE INSTALLATION DATE. KEVIN, THE GUTTER HELMET INSTALLER, PROVIDED GOOD COMMUNICATION AS TO WHY WE WERE HAVING ADDITIONAL DELAYS DUE TO THE GUTTER INSTALLERS. THEY LEFT SEVERAL PIECES OF SHARP DEBRIS ON THE GROUND WHICH WAS A HAZARD TO OUR PUPPY. KEVIN EVENTUALLY HAD THE GUTTER INSTALLERS DO THE WORK ON A SUNDAY AND HE WAS HERE TO INSTALL GUTTER HELMET AFTER THEM. BY THE TIME WE FEEL COMPELLED TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL GUTTER HELMET, PERHAPS THEY WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT GUTTER INSTALLER.

GH WORKMEN DISMANTLED PARTS OF MY DECK (TO MAKE IT EASIER TO INSTALL THE GUTTERS) EVEN THOUGH I HAD TOLD THEM NOT TO DO THAT. THEY LEFT MY HOSE ON WITH NOZZLE OFF; IT BURST THAT NIGHT, RUNNING WATER FOR HOURS BEFORE I DISCOVERED IT. MANY PIECES OF THE PREVIOUS GUTTER COVERS WERE LEFT IN PLACE BY THE INSTALLERS, WHO SAID THAT THEIR REMOVAL WAS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. I HAD BEEN ASSURED AT THE ORIGINAL SALES PITCH THAT ALL THE OLD MATERIALS WOULD BE REMOVED, BUT IT TURNS OUT THE CONTRACT DOESN'T STATE THAT. I ASKED STEVE WEST (GH PRESIDENT) IF HE WOULD HELP, BUT HE SAID HIS MEN WERE UNABLE TO REMOVE REMNANTS HELD DOWN BY THE NAILS, FEARING DAMAGE TO THE DECK. (I'VE POSTED PHOTOS OF THE SCREEN REMNANTS, SOME SEVERAL INCHES LONG, AND THE MESS GH CREATED, AT WWW.GUTTERPICS.COM) REMOVING THE REMNANTS CLEARLY WOULD NOT HAVE DAMAGED THE DECK (I REMOVED THEM MYSELF). MR. WEST DECLINED TO RESPOND TO THESE COMMENTS. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH GH, AND REGRET EVER HAVING LISTENED TO THEIR SALESMAN.
