Description of Work: I needed a new CD car radio because I had lost the faceplate to my old radio. I was able to find a good selection of radios at decent prices.

 + -1 moreI HAD AN EXTREMELY POOR EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO GEEK SQUAD. THEY PROMISED TO CONTACT ME AND PROVIDE STATUS ON THE FIRST DAY (''A FEW HOURS'' AFTER I DROPPED IT OFF). I CALLED THEM, BUT THEY DIDN'T CALL ME UNTIL LATE THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE TECHNICIAN WHO REVIEWED MY PROBLEM MOVED THE MEMORY CARDS AROUND INSIDE THE COMPUTER, BUT DIDN'T DOCUMENT HIS ACTIONS. THAT MIGHT HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM, BUT NOBODY KNEW HE'D MADE A CHANGE. THEY DIDN'T CLEAN THE COMPUTER (ONE OF ONLY TWO THINGS I REQUESTED) DESPITE ''CLEAN AND DIAGNOSE'' BEING WRITTEN ON MY PAPERWORK. THEN THE CLEANING TOOK TWO TRIES TO BE DONE SATISFACTORILY. IT WAS A VERY FRUSTRATING AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.
Description of Work: GEEK SQUAD DID THE WORK IN-STORE. MY COMPUTER WAS BEEPING RATHER THAN RUNNING (USUALLY) AND I NEEDED HELP. WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF, THEY ALSO RECOMMENDED A CLEANING (WHICH WAS CLEARLY NEEDED). WHEN I PICKED IT UP AFTER THREE DAYS (THEY TOLD ME IT WAS READY), THEY HAD NOT FOUND THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM AND THEY HAD NOT CLEANED IT, EITHER! THEY TOOK IT IN BACK FOR CLEANING. AFTER 10 MINUTES I LOOKED AT IT AND HAD THEM TRY AGAIN BECAUSE THEY DID A POOR JOB. THEY ALSO DID ''HARDWARE DIAGNOSTICS'' TO FIND THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, THEY SOMEHOW MISSED THE FACT THAT MY CASE FAN WAS NOT RUNNING.

 + -1 moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. PURCHASED A NEW COMPUTER AND IT DID NOT WORK RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. THEY SAID THEY WOULD REPAIR. AFTER 2 WEEKS THE COMPUTER STILL DID NOT WORK. THEY SAID THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO BUY THEIR SERVICE POLICY IN ORDER FOR THEM TO FIX THE BRAND NEW COMPUTER.

AFTER WE FINALLY GOT A SERVICE TECH TO COME OUT, WE FOUND OUT THAT WE NEEDED ADDITIONAL HARDWARE (THAT WE WEREN'T TOLD ABOUT AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE), SO WE HAD TO THEN RESCHEDULE. IT TOOK US OVER 5 WEEKS TO GET IT INSTALLED CORRECTLY.
Description of Work: WE HIRED BEST BUY TO COME OUT TO OUR HOUSE AND NETWORK OUR 3 COMPUTERS, USING THE NETWORKING SYSTEM PURCHASED AT THEIR STORE.
