George was perfect for the job! Responsive, quick, and professional. Bamboo floors are the hardest to install and he and his team did it so beautifully and with a short turnaround time. We went on to work with him installing baseboards and window trim, which were also done very well. I'm very detail-oriented and George was able to satisfy all my requests. It's clear he takes pride in his work, and I recommend him to anyone! I interviewed a lot of floor installers before I picked George, and I am so happy I did.

I've hired George and his team to do hardwood flooring work at my house and they did an amazing job! It was done in a timely manner, as per estimated timeframe and costs and everything was executed on a highly professional level. The quality of work was great too. This is the second flooring installation that was done by EC Flooring. We were very pleased with the first installation, which was refinishing existing hardwood in living room/dining room/kitchen and hallway, and adding hardwood to stairs and living room that was carpeted. The most recent job was removal of carpet in master bedroom and installing hardwood to match the rest of the main floor of the house. George and his crew are very professional, arrive on time, are very good about cleanup and respectful of our property. Pricing is competitive with other offers were received.

EC flooring did such a great job with my flooring. The hard wood floors were damaged by water which I thought would never get fixed but EC flooring came in less than 2 days it looks and feels perfectly new. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

I did a house remodel, moving cabinetry and installing wood floor. One problem of my house is the floor is not uneven. We have interviewed 5 person and chosen George at last. Not only because of his reasonable price, but also his professional and responsibility. He came to my house twice during estimating. He didn't say any big words and was always looking for the reason why the floor is not even and try to solve the problem. He promised us he would finish in two weeks. During the project, he used a lot of wood martial to make the floor even. He communicated with us very well and his team worked very hard even on weekends. He protected the rest of my home from the sanding dust with very effective plastic sheeting and cleaned well when finished. When the job done on time, we were so satisfied for George's job. One impressive thing was when we entered into our new house without taking off shoes. George stopped us quickly and told us we had to protect our wood floor. He treated it like his own floor. We really appreciated his job and definitely recommend him to finish your hardwood floors.

George, owner, EC Flooring, provided a competitive quote for services with an estimate of 5 days for completion. He and his partner exceeded our expectations. The entire job was complete in 4 days; the extra touches such as custom replacement of recessed wood floor grates for heat ducts made our already beautiful home look better than when it was new. The floors now have a satin sheen that enhances the natural wood color, and the wood looks brand new. George and EC Flooring really paid attention to every detail. The home areas were pristine, no dust residue anywhere on our fine furniture or nearby carpeted areas. We went for the Swedish finish/3 coats. These floors are so beautiful that I hate to walk on them even in my socks! Thanks again, George. You're a master.

George refinished our hardwood floors a couple years ago - two stories, including entryway living area and kitchen. He and his team were fast and professional and fairly priced. Recently, we had a dishwasher leak which damaged our kitchen floor, there was discoloration and separating which came with the water damage. George showed up within a day to repair the damage, we were worried about mold growth below the separated boards, but because he had placed a strong seal paper between the subfloor and the wood on the job he did previously, the damage was not as large as it could have been, the subfloor was fine and the mold was limited to the part he replaced and the repair was fixed within the week. I have attached before and after pictures from the recent work - the color is not great b/c of the shadow of a counter, but believe me that looks as good as when he first came. Highly recommend!

George was very professional and explained the work really well and got everything done ahead of promised time.

A small area of my kitchen floor was damaged due to wet subfloor (water pipe in the crawlspace was leaking and squirted water onto the subfloor). I did some research online and found EC Flooring, a company with excellent customer reviews. When I called George to inquire about his services, he responded right away. As a matter of fact, he stopped by the very next day (Sunday) to review the work required and gave me an estimate. There was a big scrape mark over six hardwood planks in my living room and I asked George to provide me with a repair cost also. The quote seemed reasonable and I proceeded ordering the engineered wood planks I needed. A couple weeks later when the wood planks arrived, Gorge and his employee came back to the house and worked their magic to bring my floor back. The job turned out to be more difficult than George had first thought but they took the time and worked hard to restore my floor. I am very happy with the end-result. I asked George how to apply the putty to fix the chipped wood planks, not only did he show me how, he even gave me a small can of putty to help me out. What a guy! I will be using EC Flooring for all my future flooring needs. I strongly recommend EC Flooring if you need any flooring jobs.

I expected to see a difference between the new floors that were added and the existing floors, but you cannot tell the difference at all! The entire floor looks gorgeous! We had George and his team refinish our foyer, kitchen and dining room floors. George is a professional, he completed the project on time and on budget and worked hard to meet our deadlines often showing up early and staying late. The job was started and finished in 2 and one-half days! My floors were a bit of a challenge, during the process we realized the hardwood portion was only 1/4 an in thick so I was worried that we would not get a good result. However, to my suprize, they turned out beautifully and we really like the Swedish finish. I can't wait to have George back to refinish the living room floors as well. Amazing!

We were very lucky that circumstances allowed George and his crew to fit our white oak hardwood Swedish refinishing project in with little notice. I was impressed with his attention to details that I thought would go unnoticed, and especially his patience in dealing with us in choosing an appropriate stain. We had selected several possible colors, and George helpfully painted these neatly on a section of the floor for us to view. He is extremely knowledgeable about hardwood surface preparation, optional staining, and finishing and is meticulous in his work. The result is a very old floor made like new again, far beyond our expectations. We could not find a single sanding or buffing mark anywhere, regardless of how the light played upon the floor. We never imagined, with a floor this old and in such condition, that it could look like it does now. A hardwood floor imparts a major impression on the interior of any home, and we hope that you are fortunate enough to have George and his crew refinish your hardwood floor as well for an impression beyond expectation.

Amazing! George was incredible! He saved my 120-year old fur floors and they look incredible. He also refinished my stairs and the bench in my foyer. I get compliments on everything from most people who visit my house. He did both stories of my house pretty quickly and was a reasonable price. I recommend him to everyone who asks!

George from European Custom Flooring completed a floor refinish in our 1909 Capitol Hill House and did an excellent job. We had a high end floor that needed refurbishing and George and his crew were able to demo our upstairs removing carpet and then was able to refinish the floors underneath to make them look brand new! He was flexible and able to work around our schedule and other contractors. The quality of work was superb and his honest approach to the job was much appreciated. He would keep us informed of the technical details such as the stain and finish types on different types of wood. He was also good about communicating the schedule and his availability. I would recommend him for any small or large job that needs high end attention.

The result was excellent. We've had a challenging project due to the concrete subfloor being very uneven and cracked in many places. In the beginning when George accepted the job I had doubts because so many contractors turned down the job. However, from an initial short meeting with George he came across very experienced, professional and trustworthy. In addition, his pricing was competitive compared to commercial type of contractors whom I considered on hiring. George was as good as his words and delivered every promise as scheduled. The concrete floor was leveled with cement and the laminated wood were laid down beautifully. He took great pride in his work as his focus was on satisfied customers to return to him on future projects and to refer him to other customers. His staff were all experienced and every reference he provided was equally as good. All of these great reviews written on him not taking on too many projects at the same time, delivering on time and doing beautiful quality work are ALL true.
