It was great from the quality of work to George's communication, professionalism, and dedication. You can tell George really loves his work and puts a lot of passion into it. He will also talk you through everything and listen to your ideas, as he really wants to make sure you are satisfied and that nothing is missed. Only reason price didn't get an "A" is because I would guess I could have found a cheaper price, but it wouldn't have been as good a job. George put every dollar to work.

My finished family room floor looks like it was part of the original construction of the house! That is how well it has been done. BUT as the “housekeeper” I most appreciated the lack of dust. Anyone you talk to who has ever had hardwood floors installed, or refinished, can testify to the amount of dust in EVERY nook and cranny in the entire house. Honestly, I had just survived a complete kitchen remodel and was dreading the dust, and dreading the hours it was going to take to clean out all my kitchen cabinets and clean every single piece of dishware and glassware AGAIN! I am happy to report that I was stressed for absolutely no reason. George and his crew did a wonderful job of masking. (All trades people will tell you that they hate the prep work and the clean-up. They just like to get to the actual project. So the masking is usually sloppy. That is the reason for the dust. Workers in a hurry…) George not only did a wonderful job of masking, but the entire area was cleaned every day when they left the job. Finally, the building trades are extremely busy in this booming economy. Most companies don’t do a very good job of scheduling. George was impeccable. We scheduled a couple months ahead of time and he was right on time. He was also willing to shift a bit when we scheduled an unexpected family trip. George is a great communicator. While I was out of town during part of the installation and sealing process he texted me pictures of his progress daily, and asked for feedback. He was always ready to redo to make me happy. Having said all that, the greatest thing was the courtesy, respect, and genuine caring by the workers. It made this process so much more pleasurable. (One day we were able to sit down and enjoy a meal outside on my deck and have a great conversation!) European Custom Floors is one the most honorable companies I have worked with who are real craftsman. I wholeheartedly thank the whole crew for their time and expertise.

Once agreed on price and schedule, work proceeded on auto pilot. Materials were delivered by supplier on time and per European Custom Flooring (ECF) specifications. Work started on time and progressed per project plan. ECF even helped moving the furniture away from the work space and back. I am so impressed by attention to detail and passion for perfection demonstrated on this project that I will trust ECF with my next project: sanding and refinishing the kitchen and family sitting room. Excellent job!

It took time to replace the flooring due to the fact that the material underneath had to dry before the flooring could be replaced. The end result was perfect. Very satisfied with the excellent workmanship.

I am an interior designer who has worked with George for my client house. When you sand existing stairs and floors where cabinetry are, it requires careful work not to damage anything. Results were beautiful and client is super happy not only quality but also time to completion. He finished faster than we expected. When I recommend installer for client, it is really critical for me to have someone who is responsive, detail oriented, punctual, knowledgeable, care about their quality of work, speed of work, and communicating any questions along the project in details, and create stain samples (this can be lengthy process). It is also pleasure to work with people who have pride in what they do. That makes project more special. I will continue work with George in the future! Highly recommended!

I am very happy with the work George and his team did. The new floor looked gorgeous, and the refinished floor also look like new. They took care of all the details, including floor vents, texture variations, and the hard corners such as the wood stairs. They also paid special attention to transitions between the stone tiles and the wood floors, and the result was gorgeous. Overall I am one very happy customer!
