This is the second time I have had Connie as my real estate agent. She helped me through a whirlwind process when I purchased my house several years ago, and then helped me through the difficult process of selling it and moving to a condo when I needed to downsize because of age (physical limitations) and changing to a fixed income. I put the house on the market at a reasonable going rate in early August, 2007. About a week later, the whole market fell apart! For the next year, Connie and I reduced the price until I felt I could go no lower without losing money. Then she explained the reality of the current market, and I agree to price the house to sell, even though I was "losing money" on the deal (I had to move; there was no alternative for me physically and financially). With that final price reduction, the house sold the first weekend. Then Connie worked with me to make an offer for the condominium I wanted to buy about six miles further north in Lynnwood. That offer was also accepted, and Connie arranged all the inspections, etc., that were necessary, always keeping me informed about what was going on and explaining all the papers I had to complete and sign. We worked via phone, email, and occasionally her bringing materials right to me. She was always considerate and helpful. One of the more difficult parts of the whole process was that I work at home as a freelancer (and tend to sleep late and work late: a night person), so leaving a key box for other agents to use to bring in viewers led to an interesting surprise (discovering someone was in my house as I was getting out of the shower). Thereafter, Connie set it up so that agents would have to call her, and then she would call me to see if the time they wanted to come would work for me. That way, I could leave the house (most of the time) when viewers came and also didn't have any more rude awakenings! Further, Connie made all sorts of arrangements to ensure that I had the best service for all the inspection and appraisal without paying exorbitant fees. In fact, she went out of her way to make the transactions workable for someone who had had to go on a fixed income with social security. Plus, Connie is a real friend.
Description of Work: Connie worked with me for a whole year in the sale of my tri-level home in Lynnwood, and then worked with me to secure a condo further north in Lynnwood, when I was downsizing.
