We called BH for a bid on a basement remodel- probably on the smaller side. Brad came out promptly and promised a bid by the following week. Despite repeated efforts and promises to deliver a bid, none was ever delivered nor was a phone call made to let us know we would not get a bid. After I submitted an initial report with poor marks I promptly got a call from Brad, the owner apologizing and he got a bid to me within the week. The bid was competitive but I had found another contractor in the meantime which we chose to go with. It sounds like a case of mix up. He was very nice and returned phone calls and responded to questions in a timely manner.

UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS A DELAY IN GETTING THE MEMBER HIS BID. THE SITUATION WAS RECTIFIED AND WE PROVIDED HIM WITH A BID AND OUR SUPPLIER LIST. THE MEMBER WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE BID AND EXPRESSED THE DESIRE TO MOVE FORWARD. HE THEN SET UP MEETINGS WITH OUR SUPPLIERS TO VIEW THEIR MATERIAL SELECTIONS. WHEN OUR SUPPLIERS NOTIFIED US THAT HE HAD NOT SHOWED UP TO HIS APPOINTMENTS, WE INQUIRED OF THE MEMBER AS TO HIS DESIRE TO MOVE FORWARD AND TO RESCHEDULE HIS APPOINTMENTS. AT THIS TIME HE INFORMED US THAT HE HAS GOING WITH ANOTHER CONTRACTOR. WE FEEL THAT OUR RESPONSE TIME AFTER THE MEMBER RECEIVED HIS BID AND OUR SUPPLIERS WAS DONE IN A PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY FASHION. EVEN THOUGH THE MEMBER DECIDED TO GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE, WE HOPE HE FEELS THE SAME WAY. SINCERELY, BRAD WILSON, PRESIDENT, BH CONTRACTING SERVICES, INC.

I can only say great things about this company. I had heard about "remodel hell" and this turned out to be quite a pleasant experience. First of all, Brad, the owner, is so hands-on that we didn't ever worry that things wouldn't be taken care of. He called us more often than we called him to clarify details. When we had a concern, it was addressed immediately and considered taken care of only when we were pleased. His crew are polite, well-mannered guys and we never minded them being in our house every day. They were at our house EVERY week day from 8-4:30 and they cleaned up after themselves every evening before they left. The project was done on time (two and a half months) and our discomfort was minimal. All I can say is: Phenomenal.
Description of Work: We did many things to our house: added on to an existing second story as well as added a foyer on the front; added a beautiful covered porch above the new foyer and tile on the floor of porch; put in hardwood floors throughout and carpet in bedrooms; interior and exterior paint; brand new master bath that included all new fixtures, tub, vanity, tile on floors and shower stall, and plumbing; new electric wiring throughout new areas and updated existing switches and lights; made the house structurally sound for the new upper addition; new windows throughout house; hardwood stairs and new railings; new gutters, roofing, and siding; new millwork throughout; new window and door trim; concrete flatwork and foundation; and cultured rock columns on porch.
