BELLEVUE ROOFING COMPANY INC

Actual roof replacement went average to poor. Our leak problem did not stop with the new roof and the company sort of threw up their hands and wished us good luck. They are not good at solving complex roof issues. Also, I had to have them come out several times to fix areas that were poorly welded. They complained they werent making any profit due to the return visits.

I saw an ad for this company and thought I'd give them a chance to bid on my roof job. The estimator came out, seemed reasonably professional, spent at least an hour on my roof gathering information and measurements. He left, promising an estimate within the week. Never heard from him again. I would have thought it far more professional for the company at least to tell me they were not interested in the job, were not up to it, or simply could not do my kind of roof. But they did not have the courtesy. And I guess I'm glad to know in advance how unreliable they likely would be if I had hired them to do my job. I considered their non-action fair warning to me.

It was an entirely satisfactory experience. Company allowed owner to reduce costs by removing a portion of old roofing himself so that certain structural repairs could be completed prior to roofing. This flexibility was appreciated and was a key element in selecting Bellevue Roofing for this small job. Bellevue Roofing did another job for owner in about 1997 and also performed in an excellent manner. Pricing was in same range as two other bids so selected Bellevue Roofing because it had previously performed work for owner and allowed price reduction if owner performed work of removing portion of old roofing.

INITIAL DOWN PYMNT RECEIVED IN AUG 05, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT BELLEVUE WOULD BE PAID IN FULL WHEN THE JOB IS DONE. DIDN'T START ON JOB TILL OCTOBER; THEY HAD AN UNLICENSED DISFUNCTIONAL METAL WORKER WITH WORK ETHICS MADE UP AS HE WENT ALONG. LEFT CIGARETTE BUTTS ON MY ROOF, ONE EVEN MELTED ONTO THE MEMBRANE, GARBAGE LEFT ALL OVER MY ROOF AND LAWN. COMPLAINED ABOUT BELLEVUE ROOFING ON A DAILY BASIS. "PROJECT MANAGER" DUMPED US OFF ONTO SOMEONE ELSE, AND THEN HE PROMISED TO STAY WITH US THROUGH THE WHOLE ORDEAL, AGAIN DISFUNCTIONAL WORK ETHICS. OWNER WAS "SICK" NOBODY PICKED UP THE BALL. NO COMMUNICATION, I HAD TO CALL, ONE EXCUSE AFTER ANOTHER. NO WORKERS ETHICS OR CHARACTER WERE STRONG IN THIS COMPANY, ALL HAD A GOOD TALK.(THINK CAR SALESMAN) FIRST PART OF DECEMBER AND ROOF FASCIA BOARD WAS CUT WRONG, LOOKS LIKE A HOME FIX IT PROJECT. THEY'LL FIX IT, I GOT EMPLOYEE NUMBER 3/4, STILL NO GUTTERS, BENT/SCRATCHED ROOF PANELS, CHIMNEY STILL WAITING, LACK OF PRIDE IN OWNERSHIP.
