Their office person was extremely unprofessional and inflexible in addressing my concerns about work that had been done incorrectly. In short, we were taken for a ride.
Description of Work: We needed to run ethernet cable, replace the switches and plugs throughout the house, and change a couple of lighting fixtures.

When I called them on it they came and told me the wire is old and I needed to rewire my garage and they wanted like $1500 and I wasn't satiated on how they even talked to me. They were talking down to me and giving me a sales pitch. My garage light still doesn't work.

+ -1 moreA couple of other well-rated places I called couldn't come anytime soon, but Jeff was able to come out the next morning and quickly resolved the issue. While he was here we also asked him several other questions about the somewhat eclectic set of wiring we have in our old house. Jeff was absolutely great to talk to, really clear and helpful. I would (and likely will) definitely call Bellevue Electric again.
Description of Work: One electric circuit stopped working, another couple of plugs seemed to intermittently work, so we were concerned about possible short circuit (and hence fire damage).

+ -1 moreVERY WELL! Jeff fit me in his busy day...because my clothes dryer wasn't working due to the faulty circuit. I had been without my dryer for almost a week, because I thought something was wrong with the dryer and had scheduled a appliance repair person to fix it, and found out there wasn't power to the dryer. I called Bellevue Electric and the person who answered was very responsive to my situation and she had Jeff come to my home within 4 hours. He diagnosed the problem very quickly, showed me the burnt out circuit and had one to replace it. The cost was $150 which included the price of the circuit. Couldn't be more pleased with the service we received.
Description of Work: I needed a circuit replaced in my circuit box.

+ -1 moreI called today to get a quote on Electrical work and was greeted with such rudeness that I'm a bit surprised. I started the conversation asking how the woman who answered the phone was doing, and she was very abrasive. I asked if this is how a customer is to be treated and she responded with "Well, are you a customer?" Bellevue Electric, you've won the battle but lost the war. I expect an agent answering phones to be good at communication and not a cranky troll. Should anyone there in management read this, a little kindness goes a long way. :(

+ -1 moreCircuit breaker to our oven, stove top, and microwave went out on Thanksgiving. Unable to reset-not good. The following day I called Bellevue Electric at 8am. It was a holiday for them however the owner came out directly, assessed the problem, and repaired it. We were charged base price for 1 hour and no holiday service charge. Was not a complicated problem but their attitude about customer care was exceptional. Will definitely use them in the future.

Dan did an outstanding job on the install and throughout the work, he gave me important safety tips and answered my questions about other electrical issues I was considering. Every employer should be so lucky as to have someone like Dan represent them in such a professional manner. I unhesitantly recommend them and will use them on the next project I need a great local company I can trust and enjoy working with.

+ -1 moreI'm a little leery of contractors in general, but when Jeff came to give me an estimate he put my heart at ease. He was professional, amiable and showed up right on time!! The estimate was very reasonable so we set up a time to do the work. Once again he showed up right on time and ready to work. He answered all my questions and explained exactly what and why it was being done. The work was completed quickly, and everything was clean and tidy when he left. He even told me couple of good jokes! When it was time for the electrical inspection Jeff made another trip to my house to meet the inspector. I didn't expect him to come for the inspection, but he wanted to be sure everything went well and that we were happy customers. What great customer service! I will definitely use Bellevue Electric again and would highly recommend them. Over all it was a great experience.

They are always very professional: flexible in scheduling, available to offer estimates, take care to run a clean job site, and are willing to work alongside (and offer advice to) a do-it-yourself-er. I highly recommend them and plan on using them in the future.
Description of Work: I've worked with Bellevue Electric a few times in the past and hired them again to tackle the electrical rough-in for my kitchen remodel. This entailed: (1) Moving light switches because we removed a wall. (2) Upgrading to GFIs. The outlets near the sink were not GFIs. Also, apparently, the outlet on the island would need to be a GFI (I didn’t know this until they were done). (3) Running a line for an outlet on the island. They ran the line from the wing wall next to where the fridge will be. (4) Moving an existing outlet: Moving the outlet on the wall near the oven, farther to the right. (They also added another outlet on that wall.) (5) Installing a new outlet in a closet. (6) Installing can lighting in the kitchen and the living area: remodel types, LED, safe for insulation. (7) Moving the current hard-wired drop for the ceiling light to centered over the island. It took them (a husband/wife team) a whole day and another half. The most impressive was how they routed the electrical line for the island under the floor. I was so thankful this was easy, no need for any drop from the ceiling and an unsightly beam in which to hold it.

AND I DESCRIBED TO THEM THE 4 THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE ON THE HOUSE, BASED ON THE HOUSE INSPECTION. THEY CALLED ME BACK 2 DAYS LATER, SAYING IT WOULD COST ME ABOUT $5000. THIS ESTIMATE WAS GIVEN WITHOUT EVEN A VISIT TO THE HOUSE (THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED TO COME IN). WHEN I ASK IF THEY CAN COME IN TO DO A MORE ACCURATE ESTIMATE, THEIR RESPONSE WAS THAT THEY DO NOT DO SMALL JOBS AS I ASKED THEM TO DO. I CALLED 2 DIFFERENT COMPANIES THAT I FOUND FROM ANGIE'S LIST, AND BOTH ESTIMATES THAT I RECEIVED FROM THEM WERE 1/3 OF WHAT BELLEVUE ELECTRIC GAVE ME.
Description of Work: I ASKED THEM FOR A FREE ESTIMATE. THEY DID NOT PERFORM ANY WORK ON OUR HOUSE. PLEASE SEE COMMENTS BELOW FOR MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY.
