The owner operator Steve met or exceeded all of our expectations. Start and finish dates were promised and met. All work in the proposal was completed to Steve's high level of craftsmanship by Steve and with some daily support from his son Nick. He also pointed out a number of smaller items that were not originally included and they were completed at no additional cost. He and Nick are fair, personable, and highly skilled. He is also happy to provide full explanations to any customer questions. If you have pride of ownership trust in his pride of workmanship and artisanship and hire him. I do some work from home and it was a pleasure to watch Steve's great results come to fruition each day.

High Quality work. Please note, I would recommend this company. Two small concerns from what I experienced. At job completion I had to remind him that he quoted me 250 less than what he wanted to collect at the end of the job. He then remembered. After he left, I realized he only finished the island and wiped down the rest of the countertops. I had to reach out to him to remind him he quoted me for all countertops not just the island that he restored. I expressed my disappointment. (I've been burned by owner/operators in the service industry before, assumed he wouldn't come back) He came back with no hesitation, said he didn't remember we discussed all countertops but did see in the notes that's what he quoted for. Again, he performed a high quality job. He could have left on a high note after he finished the rest of the countertops that he was paid in full for the first time around, but.. He expressed a couple of comments to me on the way out the door that was a bit condescending and so leaving on a high note fell a couple of octaves short. He clearly was offended I questioned his integrity (not his quality,) when I had reached out to him. When he finished the job, I said "They look beautiful thank you for coming back and doing the right thing." There should be no need to walk out the door with backhanded comments like "next time be a better judge of character," and "the buck clearly stopped with me" I had to remind him again, he was paid to complete a job so he wasn't left holding the bag nor "the buck". I would still recommend him to anyone who cares about maintaining their investment with high quality of service by an individual who has truly honed their craft to almost perfection but recommend to talk through the scope of work again so there isn't any confusion, oversight or sensitive feelings assumed.

Steve, the owner of Artisan Marble Restoration, was a true pleasure to work with, from start to finish. The quality of his work was superlative. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and a perfectionist in the best way possible. He demonstrated a very strong work ethic and was exceptionally conscientious to ensure an outcome consistent with his high standards. His dedication and commitment to my project, and his un-willingness to give up when the project posed unanticipated challenges, was honorable. Steve went above and beyond the scope of the project to ensure I was happy. Steve was very kind, personable and professional, and just an all-around good person. Details of my project: The travertine tile in my shower was completely ruined when it was cleaned with highly abrasive cleanser and heavy duty scouring pads. What was once beautiful travertine in a rich taupe color with a slightly glossy finish became stone which was stripped, lifeless, raw, rough to the touch, porous and almost devoid of color. It was in such bad shape, I was sure it was ruined beyond repair. I called around to several specialty stone providers and contractors, and they all highly recommended Steve, telling me that if anyone could fix it, it would be Steve. They were right. I called Artisan Marble Restoration and left a message which Steve returned later that same day. Steve was very nice, articulate and knowledgeable on the phone and explained what had probably caused the damage to my stone. He was accommodating to my sense of urgency and came out the next day to look at it. Steve diagnosed the damage which was complete etching of the stone deep down several layers, and gave me the good news that he could restore it to its original state. He explained the restoration process in detail. Prior to talking with Steve, I was skeptical that it could be completely restored, especially the bleached out color due to the extent of the damage, but immediately trusted Steve's expertise and honesty. Steve spent several days painstakingly refurbishing the stone using the best products available to ensure optimal results and longevity. To my amazement, he was able to restore the stone and the color completely back to its original beauty! In fact, thanks to his hard work and diligence, the stone is more beautiful and stronger than it originally was. As part of the job, Steve said he would touch up my grout as well. Being the conscientious person that he is, Steve ended up re-grouting the entire shower. While doing so, he noticed that the grout on the floor was failing and had disintegrated all the way down to the water pan underneath (faulty builder install). He took to the task of treating this issue as well, but ran into some unexpected problems with the drainage which could jeopardize the integrity of the grout. He came out numerous additional times to address it, and even consulted a shower pan installer expert so he could diagnose the underlying problem with certainty. Steve went above and beyond the scope of my original job to address this unforeseen problem (and did not charge me extra), and refused to give up until it was fixed. (He also took it upon himself to fix a couple of additional spots on my bathroom floor that had been damaged, again no extra charge.) I felt bad that he had to spend so much unanticipated extra time on the grout, but it was he who was concerned about inconveniencing me. I was extremely pleased with the quality of Steve's restoration and the level of conscientiousness and expertise he showed throughout the project. On a personal level, he was a pleasure to work with and very easy to have around. As an added bonus, Steve is a big Seahawks fan. (!) I would recommend Steve without reservation and with enthusiasm.
Description of Work: Complete restoration of severely damaged travertine stone, re-grouting of failing grout, problem-solved and addressed root cause of faulty grout, and thoroughly re-sealed stone and grout in a large shower.

Steve came out but was running about an hour late. However, he stayed late to finish the job. The marble floor hasn't been cleaned in years and there was over 100 small holes to fill. He took his time and did a very thorough job. In the master bathroom, he was able to remove most of the mold stains off the marble, repaired the grout, and recaulked which made the shower looked new. I am very happy with the work he did. As a bonus, he filled a crack on my granite counter and 3 small holes on my marble table without charging me extra. I did have one grout area in the entryway which was missed so am waiting for his return to repair. Otherwise, the job was done to my satisfaction. Steve came out today 1/6/15 and repaired a few grout areas as promised. Thank you Steve for being so responsive!
Description of Work: Steve, the owner, was very prompt in returning my call and giving me an estimate before we started the job. He came to clean, seal, and perform some grout repair on my marble floor in the entryway. I had tons of small holes to fill after using a steam mop. He also cleaned my marble shower which had several mold stains and re-caulked all around the shower.

He was amazing, you cannot even tell where the breaks were!
Description of Work: Fix counter tops in both bathroom and kitchen.
Steve seemed very personable and knowledgeable. He explained he would use a method where he would apply a poultice to the counters, cover them with plastic, let them sit over the weekend, and then on Monday clean, polish, re-grout and seal them. My husband and I understood him to say that he could do the job for around $400. Our first mistake was not getting a written estimate. After a successful overnight trial on a small test area, we agreed to proceed on a Friday. As Steve was finishing the application, my husband noticed several areas where the chemical was leaking out of the plastic and dripping down the fronts of our cabinets, staining them. He immediately brought it to Steve's attention, who seemed surprised and stated he had never had that happen before. Steve apologized, wiped up the areas on the cabinets and resealed the plastic, but the damage was already done. We made arrangements to leave the house for the weekend after the application. Steve returned on Monday morning as agreed to begin the process of cleaning, polishing, grouting and sealing, which I assumed would take most of the day. I left the house for a 10:30 appointment, and when I returned about 90 minutes later, Steve had already left. My husband, who had been home but not in the area where Steve was working, explained that Steve had approached him stating he was finished, and requested to be paid over $700. My husband assumed that Steve and I had agreed on this new price, and paid him in full. This was our second mistake. I checked the counters and found that the poultice had worked very well in some areas, lightening up the color, but the results were uneven and appeared as though a second application was needed in areas of high use where it was still dark. The grout application was precise and the granite seemed polished. I could not tell if it had been sealed or not. That day I attempted to contact Steve by phone, and finally left him a message explaining that I felt the results were uneven and a second application was needed; asking whether or not he had indeed sealed the granite; reminding him that we needed to figure out what to do about the stained cabinet fronts and questioning him regarding the amount of payment. Since that day I have left Steve 3 detailed phone messages and sent 3 emails requesting he contact me. He has not responded.
Description of Work: Steve agreed to deep clean, regrout and seal our granite kitchen counters. They hadn't been resealed for several years, absorbing oils and other organic material, causing them to darken.

The entire project went very well and the finished work exceeded our expectations. The marble floor is beautiful. Originally, it looked terrible, and I thought there was no hope. Steve, the owner, was very prompt in responding to our initial inquiry and in coming out to give us a proposal for the work. He described in detail the process and assured us that we'd be very happy with the work. He is very courteous and competent. We had a couple of bids on the work and his was the low bid. There was a little communications difficulty in scheduling, but once we had the date fixed, it went exactly according to plan and was accomplished in a few hours. Steve had a helper who did much of the work, but Steve kept very close to the job and was accessible. He assured us that the job would be done with virtually no dust or dirt although the restoration process included grinding the marble floor. I was surprised at how clean it was.

He arrived a little later than he planned but he did check with us. He explained all that he was going to do then got to it. It took about 4 hours but eh counter look brand new--even better than new. He will be the first person I contact if I need some stone work done.
Description of Work: He eased a chip in an edge of the kitchen counter and also some scratches. He cleaned and sealed all the granite in the house.
Steve and Tyler were AMAZING. Steve came on friday to give me an estimate - walked me through all that needed to be done and we planned for the work to be done on monday. He is very professional and wonderful to work with. We had quite a bit that needed to be done and Steve did A++++++ work on on it all. He also went above and beyond and did additional repairs as he saw them and did not charge me additional. Some of the work he did included: Repaired holes and scratched and cracked marble. floors Cleaned marble and grout floors and sealed them. Cleaned and repaired a worn marble counters in the kitchen and bathrooms and made them look better than new! Cleaned and repaired and sealed marble shower. (He also went above and beyond a cleared out our clogged drain!) His work is impeccable, he was honest, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with! We will use him annually to maintain the work!

I can't say enough about the service and quality of workmanship performed in brining back my (2) entryways (2) hallways and dinning area. My stone has never looked so good. I had another company clean my grout and seal my master room shower, I was not happy with the job, but I will be having Steve Price redo this job as he explained the procedure and I know too that this job will be done RIGHT!! I paid more for this service, but I got a lot more from this provider, than I did from the other one I got off of Angie's List!
Description of Work: Stripped and cleaned (2) entry, dinning (2) hall way stone areas.
First, Steve is INCREDIBLY personable, knowledgeable and knows his stuff. He is a stone restoration artisan. He is NOT some random contractor with buffing and polishing tools who will "address" your precious counters with brute force. Steve came and assessed the counters, gave his estimate, walked me through the viable options and exactly what he thought the best option was and why. Job was done on time, per estimate, and incredibly clean. He even fixed a couple of marks in the bathroom counters/floors as a bonus even though it was not part of his original estimate. He also gave me some good pointers on how to care for my countertops and clued me in to some neat tricks of the trade to equip me for minor repairs to keep my counters looking their best.
Description of Work: Steve repaired, honed and sealed the worn/stained carrara marble kitchen counter in our newly purchased home. As an extra bonus, he also fixed some marble floor marks and limestone counter marks in the bathroom.

After getting a quote from another Angie's list member after a full week of waiting for the bid, I had difficulty getting them to call me back and schedule the work. So I went back to Angie's list and selected Artisan. I called and talked to Steve. He came the next morning, looked at the job, and give me a bid. Based on our conversation with him and the knowledge he articulated when he looked at our job and the fact that his bid was 40% lower that the previous bid, we scheduled the job for two days later. Steve arrived as promised and cleaned and sealed all the surfaces and repaired both caulking and grout wherever it was needed. The results were transformative, especially the tile floor in the master bath which was the area most in need of restoration. It looks brand new. Based on his work, his pricing and his professionalism, I will definitely use Steve again and will readily recommend him to others.
Description of Work: Clean and seal granite countertops and limstone backsplash in the kitchen. Reseal the caulking between the countertops and the backsplash. Clean and seal the ceramic tile floor in the master bath and closet. Restore the grout. Clean and seal the marble countertops and tub surround. Recaulk around the tub and the two sinks.

Steve came to our home and gave us a free estimate. It was apparent that he was very experienced and knowledgable in his field, and he was very personable. We scheduled an appointment for a few days later for him to complete the work. He showed up on time, and performed the work as expected. We even had him clean and seal our stone-topped coffee table. Even though the stone surfaces were new, the builder had left caulking and tape residue on many of the surfaces which Steve diligently removed without us asking. We are very please with his services and have already recommended him to a friend.

Steve was great in all categories! I had other estimates before, but no one else was able or willing to put the work into our projects. Our bathroom floor has a pattern of polished and honed marble, so was much more difficult to restore. I had been told by others that it really couldn't be done. Steve did an excellent job and all slate and marble look like new! I would highly recommend him for any stone restoration and would not look any further!

I hired Steve Price not based on Angie's List (his company had not been listed here at the time of my research), but based on a review from another website. I had also contacted several other companies, one of whom wanted to charge me in order to provide an estimate. Steve came without a fuss, estimated the amount of work to be done, and detailed the costs involved. He and his assistants then spent an entire day and a half restoring the marble in the master bathroom to like-new condition. Steve stayed true to his estimate despite spending so many hours at work (probably much more than he had realized with the difficulty in sanding my particular marble counter), and even returned to polish and reseal an area that was only visible under certain lighting conditions. He is extremely professional and really cares about his craft; his attention to detail shows it. His mantra is to make sure his customers are satisfied with the quality of his work even if he is inconvenienced--and I believe it. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone else.

I am very happy with the job. It is a relief to know that marble can be restored to it's original condition and sealed for protection. Artisan Marble Restoration did a great job. The owner Steve Price seemed like a dedicated professional with a great deal of knowledge and experience. He gained our trust and didn't disappoint.
Description of Work: A marble bathroom sinktop was badly etched by the previous owners' bath or cleaning products. For 25% of the cost of replacement and in a matter of hours, the owner of Artisan Marble Restoration polished away all surface imperfections and made the sinktop look new. The job was so painless and satisfying that we asked Steve to restore a marble walkin shower surround. The shower was not sealed at installation and had become dull and etched by acids in shampoos and cleaning products. Steve and his assistant spent the time necessary restoring and sealing the surface so that the shower looked as good as possible. Steve is an excellent communicator and straightfoward in describing the job timetable and results. He made sure the jobsite was clean and that we understood how to maintain the marble's appearance in the future. Steve's obvious experience and professionalism put us at ease in a potentially messy situation.

We remodeled our master bath 15 years ago and installed marble tile throughout. It was gorgeous but over the years in spite of our best efforts, our once beautiful marble had become stained, dull and basically a bit of an embarrassment. I thought we would have to replace the marble, but in a last ditch effort I checked Angie's List and found Artisan Marble Restoration and Steve Price, the owner. Steve came out and after looking at my marble said he was confident that he could restore my marble to its original beauty. Steve is a man of his word and the marble looks just as good as the day it was installed. His expertise and attention to detail are of the highest caliber. Steve gets my highest recommendation and I will be using him again to restore the marble in our entry now that I know what is possible.
Description of Work: Steve restored the marble in our master bath which included recaulking, regrouting, sanding, filling, polishing and sealing all the marble in the shower, bathroom floor and the marble slab vanity.
