They seem very efficient and clean, and the lawn always looks well maintained.

Tad is always very responsive and is generally able to do the work very quickly, usually within a few days. We will continue to call him whenever we have yard projects. His team can do work that would take us several weekends in one day.

It went well. Tad returned my call, came out the next day for an estimate, told me when the work would be done, and came through.

There was an Angie's List special at the time. We just thought the quote was a little high so we did not go with them. However, they were very professional and they were quick to respond, and all the good things. I just did not get the work done because of the cost. The quote was for several hundred dollars. I am sure they would have done a wonderful job, but I just found it for less. They did not quote for any fertilizing or lawn treatment. They are probably very good, but eventually it was just a little out of our price range. We probably will not use them again in the future. It's not because of their work. It's just because of their quote.

I have a big yard and he did a wonderful job on this project. I would recommend him to others and use him again in the future. The only thing is, I am not 100% sure all of his employees are full time.

We have used Tad/American Rose Garden several times now, and we are very satisfied with the work. For this visit we needed a spring yard cleanup, including all tasks mentioned above. We inherited a yard that was not in the best shape, and for 2 years now, Tad has been helping maintain what's working, get rid of what's not working, and add new elements. We tried a couple other companies and experienced work that either didn't hold up or was too overpriced. In looking for someone we could work with on a regular basis, I talked with several new services, and Tad's was the only one that I was happy with after the estimate visit. He keeps his appointments, listens to what you want, gives sound advice when you don't know what you need, and makes sure you stay informed and are happy with the results.

Overall, Tad was easy to deal with and flexible in price when we decided to do less than originally planned. We are very pleased with how our front yard looks now. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

We will search no more - our search for gardening excellence ends with American Rose Garden. Why? 1. Tad and his crew are real gardeners. Every cut is considered carefully. Plants still look like plants after they work on them. Reduction is not just "buzz-cutting." It is selective, careful pruning and shaping. We could not be more pleased. 2. Tad knocked on our door at least ten times to consult with us to make sure they would do the right thing - before (not after) they did it. In this way he continually made our input a part of the job he did. The result was complete satisfaction. 3. Cleanup was spotless and well done.Hire them - you will NOT regret it. They are a high value firm.

Tad is really wonderful. Very professional and communicative. He spells out exactly what they are going to do and then shows up as scheduled and he and his crew do an amazing job. Our yard is by far the nicest looking in the neighborhood and most of our neighbors have other yard services. Tad is also very patient as I move plants around in the yard. Doesn't get annoyed, just gives advice on where to put things and then immediately moves them. I can't say enough good things about him.

Communication was great throughout. Tad came out and gave me an estimate and looked at the yard. We had used them once before in a previous house to replace the lawn, and their service was just as good this time. On the work day, they showed up on time (4 guys, including Tad), and worked through the driving rain to get the whole thing done quickly and thoroughly. They used less lime than they thought they would, and reduced the estimated charge accordingly. I am extremely happy with their accurate estimate, professionalism, and the quality of the work done. Tad also gave me lots of good information about caring for the lawn. I would not hestitate to use them again. They provide great value for the money, and are just great to work with.

Wonderful! My tenants had the left the garden in chaos -- overgrown, weeds everywhere, a real mess. The service was prompt, as agreed, very well done.

A job well done. Tad made sure everything was done to my standards (which is very high). He went the extra mile and did things I wasn't expecting, ie transplanted a fern and filled in areas of the lawn with sod (at no charge). At the completion of the job, I was taken around the yard to see that everything was done to my satisfaction. I'm extrememly pleased with the work Tad and his crew did! Once again, I'm proud of my yard.

This is the second time I have had Tad and his crew do yard cleanup for me. Tad came by on the same day I called, did a walk thru and provided a cost estimate. The job was scheduled for the next week. I am very satisfied with work they did.

They are still my primary provider. I researched them before I hired them. They are always very reliable and come on time on the same day each week. They are very fast and efficient. The owner is very responsive and customer focused.

I like them a lot. I use them regularly now. It usually cost me about $45 for mowing, but recently I paid $1000 as I have a large piece of land. They work very carefully. They ask me before they do anything. They change anything that I want changed. They are polite. They keep the yard clean and tidy. They do a very great job. I will continue to use them in the future. Several months later: we're still really happy with ARG's work and continue to hire them on a regular/monthly basis for our lawn care. Not only are they good, but they're pleasant to talk to.

Overall this went well and we would use again. We were given strong advice on planting position, advice on other trees/shrubs, and general caretaking tips. Reasonably priced, and good work.

The intitial response was very friendly, responsive, and professional, but the follow up was just not good.

Tad came out to give us an estimate the day after we called. He and his crew came out to do the work about a week later. The charge was the same as the estimate. Tad checked in with me throughout the day to ask how I wanted things done and walked through the yard with me at the end of the day to show me what they had done and make sure everything was complete. He also gave me advice about how to maintain the yard and scheduled mowing every two weeks.

They responded very quickly, a day or two after I called.

I was very happy with Tad. I'd been through six landscaping services, and every one of them had the same template: mow, blow, whack, spray and go. If you want lawn plus foundation plantings, that's great. But if you want flowerbeds, if you want to preserve native plants, or if you want to encourage wildlife in your yard? That doesn't work at all. We had a strip of ugly, dying spreaders that had to be removed, and replaced. That required pulling weeds, removing branches, and yanking giant rootballs. It also meant spreading topsoil, landscaping fabric, planting new shrubs and mulching. The workers were going to have to work around little, easily squashed, native plants, some of which were right in their way. When Tad's crew was done, I had a beautiful front strip, and I didn't lose a single leaf off my Cyclamen coum or my Dicentra, even though they've always seemed to look like weeds to previous landscapers. The biggest reason: Tad listens and remembers what you tell him, and then he supervises his crew closely. Tad is also extremely responsive. His philosophy appears to be "I'd be happy to do that." Not only did he honor my request to preserve my existing plantings, he was very relaxed about changes of plan. He gladly moved an existing Western Red Cedar, rather than forcing us to buy a tree. He took us to the nursery he uses, and let us pick out the plants we wanted to put in. He was perfectly happy to plant a tree we bought at Molbaks and brought home ourselves - he even gave us a discount on the final price, because he didn't have to go to the nursery to buy the tree! He also gave us more than we paid for. We ended up with new mulch over a larger area than the one we had paid for. He also pitched in, without added cost, on tasks that were peripheral to the work we had contracted. There was a little topsoil left over after the work was finished, so I started shoveling it into some depressions in the lawn. Tad immediately came over, asked if I had sand to mix it with (I did) and started moving more topsoil, and raking the newly applied soil so I could seed it. On another day, I started cutting back some dead branches near the worksite, and he came over with his chain saw and asked me which branches I wanted cut down, saving me lots of clipping. It's been a couple of months since the work was completed, and all the plants are doing fantastically well, including the new grass. Apparently Tad was right about the sand. I can't imagine using anyone else the next time I need landscaping services.

I think that the American Rose Garden team did an amazing job. I was able to do a walk through with Tad and he did not miss anything. He was open with suggestions and constructive feedback that others did not provide. He did what he said he would do and this team was very quick and polite. Tad and his team should be very proud of their work. They were on time on budget and I (and my neighbors) were thrilled with their work. I have given their card to several of my friends and family. I would use them again.

They were quite professional. I did not use this company but I have no complaints about what they did. Our place is just on the edge of the area that they service. The man that came out was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He was punctual and came within five or ten minutes of the time of our appointment.

They came out but they were not able to do exactly what we wanted so we ended up not going with them. However, we would consider them in the future.

They indicate they service King County, but do not service my area.

They gave me an estimate right on the spot which I was pleased with.
