+ 0 moreA & I electric installed the lights leaving 4 "mistake" holes in the ceilings, and a new switch in the master bath (we found that it did not need a circuit). The contractor left his crew to finish the work, assuring us that all the work contracted for would be completed. We had already paid him $350, and he now asked for $1000 to be paid immediately. This was high, considering switch versus circuit in master bath, but as he claimed that the ceiling light installation was "difficult", we paid him. Later, we discovered that he had not installed a new circuit in the guest bath. When confronted he became belligerent, ignoring the fact that he had charged for work he had not done, yelling that he "did good work" "according to code". Later he made partial restitution, but has not returned the full overpayment. We have filed a complaint against him with the Attorney General's office.
Description of Work: As part of a condominium remodel we hired Mr. Giorgieu to recess kitchen and hall lights and to install 2 new circuit breakers, one for a heat pad in the master bath, one for the whirlpool tub in the guest bath. We agreed to pay $350 for the kitchen lights, $550 for the hall lights, $200 for new circuit in the master bath and $300 for new circuit in the guest bath (master bath is closer to the power source).
