A Plus Computer Tech

We like them very much. We have used them more than on one occasion. We got them, I think, originally through you folks and we have used them subsequently. We like them. We used them this year. We took a friend who had computer problems to them, and it was fine. We give them all A's.

Well. Technician did not charge since it was a Motherboard issue. Recommended getting another PC due to age.

Service was prompt and on schedule; problem was correctly diagnosed; service was polite and technicians were patient in explaining what was happening to a non-expert.

AWESOME. I can't recommend them highly enough. My 6 y/o laptop's fan developed a frightening noise last week, but was otherwise working well. Wanted to have fan checked out and replaced if needed. Narcis was my tech. He was great to work with, meticulous. He tested it and the fan was OK, but was chock-full of 6 years of dust. Heat syncs also dirty. After diagnosis, he opened it up and cleaned it thoroughly. Now it runs 20 degrees Celsius cooler. Replaced CMOS battery while he had it open per my request (battery was OK, just figured since I had it in and it was an older PC, just do it). Ordered me a new laptop battery--mine's shot. He was really meticulous about testing to make sure all was well. Took the time to explain things, his recommendations, etc. B/c of my concern that, if a part were needed, it would take a while to ship due to holidays and such, I did pay the $50 rush to move this along. He called me same day my boyfriend dropped the PC off--the fan didn't make the noise for him, but he did note lots of dust inside (that I can't get to with my little tiny vacuum--need to open the thing up--no way was I doing that!). Said he'd test more the next day and call me. So the next day, he ran the thing hard and still couldn't get the noise. We figure something (likely dust) was impinging and shifted when I packed it up and brought it in. Decided no need for new fan, but did need cleaning, which involved opening the entire thing up and replacing some thermal components. So we went ahead with that. By the following morning, he called to say it was tested and ready for pickup. When I picked it up, he explained everything, and showed me a picture of my heat syncs before cleaning that he'd captured on his phone. OMG, filthy! Got it home. The thing was so clean, even on the outside, it looked new. The fan is running nice and quiet now, even when I put a good load on it. They are awesome, and I'm so happy to have found them.

When I brought it in it wouldn't even boot into Windows; I kept getting a bluescreen. David cleaned all up, swapped out my hard drive for a solid state HD. He even installed the best anti-virus software programs and didn't charge me. Then, when I got it home and couldn't get online, he spent time trying to make my wireless network work. When I still couldn't get online he came to my house to work on it and it turned out to be Comcast's fault. He actually moved my computer closer to the router and connected it with a cable! That worked and now it's fine! David was wonderful and of all the computer techs I have used over the years he is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! He is dedicated to his work and is 100% for the customer!

David was excellent. Performed a few things. He saved the day and no charge. Very courteous and professional.

When I went in they waived express processing fee of $50 since I found them on Angie's List. I got my estimate, told them to install the SS HD, and my computer was ready by 4pm the next day. Very professionally handled, they rescued my computer and even my docs which I thought I HAD ERASED! I am really happy to have a new HD and not a new computer. While not cheap, much less costly than buying a new one, and one less machine to recycle. A win-win for me and the environment. (Before tax, charge was $337.) Would go back again gladly. I have a friend who will take in his laptop.

I have an ASUS laptop and the trackpad stopped working. I am not a computer novice and couldn' find a solution. I took it in and they found a very quick fix. No charge, and I was out of their store in 5 minutes with a working laptop. My son's Mac laptop has been fixed by them in the past with timely and well priced service. Well done, I'll be back when I need a real fix.

He was excellent. He came out that afternoon. A pleasant person called 20 minutes before he was going to arrive to let us know. He helped us immediately. We were just very happy with him. The cost was reasonable. We will continue to use him.

Person working on laptop was able to figure out why the computer was doing what is was doing. Ordered the parts. When they came in and began the fix, noted that he didn't need to do the whole thing in order to fix it so we got it back quickly and for less money.

The computer guy who came was beyond fantastic. He was beyond exceptional. With the amount of time, he was able to fix every single one of my computer problems like with my TV and my apple box. I have an old gateway computer and he filed all that information so I could turn it off. He did more than anything which is above and beyond. I was always afraid that my computer will go down the next day but it has absolutely changed my entire life. He is absolutely beyond amazing. He was only here for four hours and he only charged me $380 which is more than worth it. Everything he did was beyond functional. What he did, how he did it and with the price, it was literally beyond miracle. It was a lovely gift I had from Angie’s List to hire him.

When I called about a problem with my laptop, I was offered advice about how to fix the problem myself which surprised me. No pressure to bring the laptop into the shop. I ultimately decided to take the laptop into their shop for them to do the work. They were able to perform the work while I waited and provided me with used parts at a great price. I am very pleased with the responsiveness and quality of service I received and highly recommend them.

The service was excellent, the hardware was found to be okay. They did find that the onboard CD drive was bad, we did not have a new one installed because we had a external drive that we were using for that purpose. They cleaned up the software problems and made suggestions as to a better use of browser offerings that would eliminate some of the "blue screen" issues we were having. They explained everything they had done in detail and we are now using the computer without problems. We will use this company again for any problems that might arise on this machine in the future. This was a PC laptop they helped us with, we also have a MAC that could stand some clean up in the near future and we will be taking it to this company as well. Their office hours are excellent as they fit our schedule perfectly. There location works very well for us as well.

I brought the computer into their offices on Monday the 6th and asked for the $50 priority service, which was waived by the Angie's List coupon. I worked with a technician by the name of David. He was very communicative throughout the project and even came back in ON HIS DAY OFF to complete the work. He turned the entire job around and I had my computer up and working better than ever by Thursday afternoon. I would highly recommend these guys. David was fantastic!

I found A Plus on Angie's List and took my computer to them because they are open on Sundays (even though there were cheaper deals for other tech's). They advised it might be 3-6 days before they would have an estimate - customers like their free diagnostics. I paid the rush fee of $50. Less than 24 hours later David called to tell me what was wrong and that it would take two hours ($75/hr) to fix it. I was able to pick my computer back up that evening. It seems to be working great! David, my tech, was very professional and could answer all of my computer questions. I would definitely use them again!

They were across the street from where I do my grocery shopping. I last used them over a year ago and the work was very well done. They charged me $150 to reprogram my laptop.

After attempting to replace the battery on my older model i pod I took the disassembled unit into A Plus for help. David explained to me that the min charge for service was $75 but given the age of the unit and the fact that it was already disassembled he would inspect and get back with an estimate that would hopefully be less. He called in a couple of days stating that he could replace the battery and reassemble the unit for a flat fee of $50.00. I approved the estimate and shortly thereafter the unit was returned in working order for the price quoted. I was very pleased with the courteous and prompt service and I would recommend these folks. In further discussions with David it is my understanding that A Plus also have a home service that can be provided at approx. $85.00/hour which seems reasonable and I plan to take advantage of this in order to help set up some of my computer and TV systems. He sourced and procured this hard to find cable and connector and installed to get laptop back to operating. Hand delivered in good working order back to customer. Very responsive and professional.

All our experiences have been very positive. The guys at A-Plus outlined our options and prices, gave us expected dates, and delivered on those dates every time. The quality of the work was great and the service and communication were even better. We will definitely continue to use A-Plus whenever we have technology service needs.

The project did not seem to be worth their time and we would most likely not bring any projects to them in the future due to the fact that they dropped the ball and didn’t follow up with us.

They’re reasonably priced, give good advice and are a local company. They respond to follow up questions at no charge. They have great professionalism and they are usually very busy and have a short turn around and are accurate with the time frames they give. I would recommend their services to others.

Excellent. He explained why my computer was low on memory and error messages were always coming up. Showed me how C drive was full , old and my issues would be resolved and speed increased with new drives. I had the choice to upgrade to a faster one with less storage , a larger slower one, or both. I chose both. Pleases with service.
