Based on an ad in the July 15, 2015 Angie's List Monthly (page 15) for Ceiling Fan Installation for $132, I contacted Angie's List and was called by the provider. We already have the fan, compatible light kit and compatible remote control, and there is already a ceiling light where the fan is to be installed. The only question, as far as I can see, is whether the ceiling box is rated for a fan, or will have to be replaced. The provider pressured me to modify the circuit breaker (even though the fan is lower wattage than the existing light fixture) and quoted me over $700 for the job, including the new circuit breaker, which I stated I did not want. I terminated the discussion at this point. I feel that the ad in the magazine was misleading and I did not appreciate the 5X inflation of the advertized price of the pushy tone of the quotation discussion.

First of all, the electrical firm I usually use could not address my problem for a week. I found Brett on Angie's List, called him, left a message detailing my problem and he called me back first thing on the next day. He advised me on the phone that I should turn off the circuit breaker for that outlet and although he was booked out for many weeks, said that he would try and help me later that day. Brett was at my house by 3 in the afternoon and fixed my problem by 3:30. He also explained what happened, showed my why the outlet panel burned, and explained how I could ensure that all my other outlets were performing properly. I so appreciated his prompt response to my problem and that he took the time to explain to me what he was doing and why. In the future, I will be using 123 Electric for all my electrical issues!

Brett was incredible. His estimate was spot-on. The work was completed within the time scheduled. His work is professional and it was a pleasure to do business with him. He doesn't take shortcuts and is respectful of your living space. I highly recommend him.
