This is the second cord that I have had them deliver.

I would not consider using anyone else. They provide extremely clean, aged firewood. Additionally they deliver a full cord every time. Couldn't rate them higher.

The person who took our order was professional and knowledgeable. The person who delivered the wood came when he said he would; he was professional and friendly. The wood looked great, and we were very pleased. This experience was a huge relief after multiple attempts to arrange delivery of firewood by sellers who posted "wood for sale" signs along highways and other major roads. These mom & pop operations always promised to deliver the wood, but when the day came, they'd cancel or never show up. Our experience with The Firewood Guys was so good in comparison that we decided to pay the higher price for a professional operation that was some distance away from our location. We highly recommend them.

We wanted wood to take camping so we needed a mix for campfires and campfire cooking. They recommended Alder and Cherry. They were very helpful in giving us a mixture of just these two woods. The delivery person was very pleasant and easy to deal with. We did our first camping trip and the wood burned beautifully and our food was delicious. We recommend The Firewood Guys and will call them when we use up this batch.

This is the second year I've used The Firewood Guys and I am as pleased as I was last year. This year, the wood was definitely older then last. Last year, the wood was pretty fresh - maybe a year old but they warned me - still with tight clinging bark and not one single piece of rotten wood. I got it early in the season and it dried out perfectly for the winter. This year, not a single piece of wood had any bark on it, maybe two pieces of wood I thought were a bit punky and perfectly dried and ready for the fireplace. And there was more then a cord by my measurements. When I've purchased wood from other suppliers, I've had to toss a 35 gallon waste can of debris away, not to mention skimpy cords :( With The Firewood Guys, I've hardly needed to sweep! Some folks think the cords are a bit pricy, but the quality and consistency you get for the price makes it a great deal.

I had to call twice before I had a call back. After that it all went well. It's on the pricey side but the upside is that you get reliable firewood. I had a cord each of maple and fir. I like the fact that it is cut to equal length but that the size distribution varies so you get some large pieces, some medium and some kindling size. This wide distribution leads to good packing density on the truck and therefore more burnable wood per volume.

The wood was a little expensive and I had to pay for extra mileage since we are out of their free delivery area but I've had nightmare experiences with other firewood providers and this was worth the extra expense. The wood itself is beautiful, clean, dry and split to a good size. The delivery was quick and the driver very careful of the surrounding houses and gardens. I will use this company the next time I need firewood.

These guys are great. Punctual and totally professional. They arranged the drop off -- made it very easy to pay by credit card and phone -- if I couldnt be there. The wood was in excellent shape. They navigated a very difficult driveway with ease. And they put me on the list for an Oak delivery later in the year. True class.

They were hard to get ahold of and I wished they would of called the day of appointment, just a conformation. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with the punctuality and professionalism. I will use them again for sure.

Delivered on schedule. It was the cleanest firewood we have ever purchased and, after stacking, was at least a full coed. Will use them from now on.

Do go to their website - it is well done! But they do not follow-up to the level of expectations that they build from their website!

I called based on their website information, but these people would never pick up the phone! I called twice a day for a week straight and got the answering machine every time. If a company wants business, they should pick up their phone and not require potential customers to leave messages on answering machines. I ended up placing an order with Dean Innovations, who answered the phone right away.

Second year in a row we bought from The Firewood Guys. The wood is awesome! Seasoned, cut to the correct length, very little scrap. Delivered on time. We weren't home at time of delivery and they dumped the wood in the correct spot. Called them and had next day delivery.

This is my second year buying from the Firewood Guys after our other supplier of 20 years went out of business. This is the driest, cleanest firewood we have ever received, two years in a row. We are now a loyal customer and recommending their firewood to all our friends. They also deliver a fair cord, actually seemed like a little over a cord. They use nice modern trucks and dumped the firewood exactly where I wanted it so I could drive my car out the other side of the driveway. This is a real professional organization, something I can't say about other firewood suppliers in the Portland Area. I highly recommend The Firewood Guys and will continue to use them.

On Monday 08/27/2012 the driver for the Firewood Guys called to say he would be arriving in about forty minutes. Randy arrived right on time with a very nice cord of Maple. This wood was so nice! Dry, split into just the right sizes and dropped where I wanted. Randy was very nice and told me about the company. What a pleasure it is to work with folks like these (I wonder if they install roofs). I would definitely recommend this company for your firewood needs, I'm sure you'll be happy.

They delivered on time and were professional. The only problem was that part of the load was quite wet and took a good 1/2 season to dry enough to burn. Next time I'd quiz them more about the dryness and check some before the driver left.

I ordered a cord of maple and was warned that the wood was not ready to burn now, but I only need it after fall, plenty of time for it to dry. They deliver free in Washington and for $2/mile outside, the miles start at crossing the bridge. In the past I have bought wood from Portland area dealers and the wood they deliver is always accompanied by a large amount of dirt/mud, less then a cord (last year, 20% less!), and usually I have to toss about 35 gal. of debris - bark, rotten wood. This year, I got a full cord of beautiful, clean maple and didn't have to toss -any- debris and paid approx. $60 less and instead of a hardwood "mix", got all maple. Can't recommend The Firewood Guys highly enough.

The Good: Both the person on the phone, and the gentleman who dropped the wood off at my home were pleasant, professional, and prompt. The Bad: I paid $265 for what I was told was "seasoned" maple. Since it was dropped off in the middle of November, I expected some moisture to be present, and immediately stacked it in my dry barn. What I did not expect was for the wood to be so wet that 3 months later it still has to be inside my home for over a week before it will burn in my woodstove. I would not have purchased wood during the wet season, but recently purchased this home and quickly ran out of wood.

When I called, I was greeted by a friendly, helpful voice. She (sorry, can't remember her name) easily answered some questions I had about what kind of wood I should get, how it would perform, etc. After we scheduled the delivery, the guys called about 40 minutes before they showed... which is exactly what the receptionist said they'd do. When they got here, they were a bit taken aback by the distance they had to go to the side of the house, I thought we were pretty clear. I felt bad, tipped them, and think everything was fine. The pieces are cut in very manageable sizes and very consistent. I also forgot to ask them to set the firewood away from the house a bit... of course they did this without my asking as they do this all the time and know what to do! They also left some kindling... so cool for a girl that can't always start a fire from scratch. I will be calling them from now on for our firewood.
