Description of Work: Dryer vent was cleaned.

Description of Work: performed cleaning of dryer vent which included going into the crawl space, taping together the vent pipe which came loose at some-time or may never have been attached, picked up excess lint near pipe. Friendly, answered questions and even took a picture and showed us the pipe that was loose.

Description of Work: The service provider was very nice on the phone. I have no issue with the company at all it was simply a time issue that we ran into.

Description of Work: Chad and Mike cleaned our ducts and dryer vent. They arrived a few minutes early (great!). Explained what they would do. Showed us the sanitized shop vac and other equipment to be used. Got to work right away. Even cleaned off the over-spray from the sheet rock installation (back when the house was built...beautiful!). We were told up-front, at the time of scheduling, the charges. (They charge by size of house NOT number of ducts.) The price was right. The job well-done. Definitely will use them again and will recommend them.

Description of Work: Had a dryer fire in our 4 year old Bosch dryer. Luckily it was contained within the dryer. We purchased a new dryer and the first time we used it the hazard light came on "check vent". I looked on Angie's list for a company that cleaned dryer vents. Just a few days later, Saturday the owner came out and found that our dryer vent on the roof was completly clogged. He thoroughly cleaned it and what a surprise, no more "check vent". The owner of Better Air Northwest was awesome. Personable, professional, and ON TIME. We are having Better Air clean our air ducts after the holidays, and he will apply the $50 we paid to have the dryer vent cleaned out to the air duct cleaning, since that is included in that service. Who would have guessed that a house just 4 years old would have a clogged dryer vent so soon.

Description of Work: They came out and cleaned the dryer vent but it did not fix my problem with the dryer which actually was a problem with the machine. So I would say that they did service what I hired them for even though it didn't fix my issue.

Description of Work: We found Better Air NW at the Portland home & garden show a few weeks back - and after talking w/ the representatives to understand what process they follow we decided to sign up to get our ducts and dryer vent cleaned. Their quoted price as fair and very reasonable. The guys called while in route to let me know they ran into a litle rush hour traffic and to give me an ETA. They were right on time. Very professional, and friendly. They explained their proceedure clearly and in detail. The furnace, returns, vents and dryer vents were cleaned completely. They did a great job and even repaired a section of furnace pipe that had come apart in the crawl space and changed out a burned out light bulb up high in a entry way light fixutre for no additional charge! The final bill was exactly as quoted at the home show - no attempting to up-sell more services and no request for additional payment for the easy repair to the crawl space duct. Excellent services provided at a great price! I'll recommend Better Air NW to those I know who have been considering getting their ducts cleaned. Description of Work: BetterAirNW was recommended to us by BLAIRCO, the company that will be installing our replacement heat pump and furnace. They arrived on time after giving us a heads-up that they were on the way. Jeff and Daniel cleaned our supply and return ducts with super-whiz-bang air compressor and vacuum being carefull not to damage our fragile ducting. We also had them seal our duct boots so that crawl space unheated or uncooled air would not be sucked into our house. Ours was not an easy job as it took two people, working hard, about five hours to complete. We are the original owners of the house and this was the first time the ducts were cleaned. They also threw in a free cleaning of our dryer duct. Good folks! Good value!
