A.P.E. begins by being loyal to our customers by performing the work exactly as we perform it on our own homes. We take the time to listen to our customers’ needs and wants. We further completely follow through with all of the work we have stipulated in the estimate. No cutting corners, no surface work. Most of the time we don’t even require a down payment or deposit. It's true... The E.P.A. has regulated what we can or can't work on. So sorry. What the E.P.A. FAILS TO RECOGNIZE that painters have been responsible and working around lead paint. Now most people can't find a contractor to do the job prior to 1978. They have inflated the cost to be so much that most homeowners can't afford to improve there homes. Not just painting, but anything over 20 sq.ft. Of surface area to be disturbed. By law contractors have to tell you upfront of the potential of lead prior to 1978 and prove there's no findings. That being said we are certified but not lic. As the E.P.A. WANTS A FEE plus record keeping and ohh yah you can only buy there certified lead testing swabs for 4 times the money than you can buy from lowes or Home Depot and have to order them online. I truly apologize to those I have to turn down. I hope you find a lead certified renovator that will be honest with you. Best regards. Guy.

Description of Work: They sanded down and re-stained our back deck, using a different color for the new stain. They were conscientious, courteous, and pleasant to deal with. My only concern--and the head of APE told me about a month ago that they would deal with it--are some bubbles where the new stain apparently did not take to the surface. I am confident APE's owner will follow through and correct the problem. I would definitely employ them again for another project.

We stand behind our work call for scheduling. Our product is only as strong as it's substrate. I expressed that you will always have Maintanance because of the failed application of the coating prior. We scraped, hand tooled and sanded to a tight edge. Not much more we could do, but strip or replace. Either way we will scrape and reapply any bad areas. Thanks. Guy.

Description of Work: A.P.E. painted the interior of a 1500 square foot house, including ceilings. We appreciated that they worked within a tight time frame and all was done in two days. The crew was friendly and efficient and the paint job is excellent. We thought the price might be a bit high, but did not do bids as we needed it done quickly, and perhaps this is entirely fair. We would definitely use them again.

Thanks [removed member name] for the work and the review. We encourage all our potential customers to get 3 bids to legitimize our proposal. A large portion of your expense was the room with the nicotine stained ceilings and walls that we hand washed with t.s.p.several times, primed entire room with special coating, and 2coats high quality latex enamel. Nicotine damage can be very expensive and difficult if not prepared properly. So yes we were more than normally we would have charged but, the job merited hazard pay and extra work. It was a pleasure working with you and your husband.

Description of Work: Guy did a grate job on the exterior of one of my rental houses. He was on time and on budget. I called him again today for a quote for the interior of another of my houses. If you want a fair price (that he sticks to). I would recommend A.P.E. painting.

We needed our house painted. I called four painters for estimates. Guy responded quickly. After walking around and studying the house for a while he provided a written estimate before leaving the premises. At the same time Guy spotted a siding issue we'd known about for some time, he was able to get a repair estimate over the phone. Guy's estimate was not the lowest, but his schedule allowed him to get to the job quickly. (Very important this time of year here.) He and his crew showed up on time every day. Guy communicates very well. He was available for addressing our concerns and questions and is very friendly. He and his crew obviously take much pride in their work. They took the time to ensure that the job was done to both our satisfaction and theirs. Guy is one of the crew and is a perfectionist. The trim color we chose required 3 coats and our house has a lot of trim. They used drop clothes all around the house and were very careful around the plants. They were very conscientious about cleaning up, on a daily basis and at the end of the job. They recommended a longer lasting paint and we are very satisfied with the results. The contractor Guy recommended repaired the issue quickly and did not delay the paint job. We really enjoyed working with Guy and heartily recommend him.
Description of Work: Pressure washed the house with Jomax. Used a scrubber with cleaning agent on the driveway and cleaned the gutters. Prepped, caulked, and primed the house with Marathon bonding primer. Painted the house body and trim.

I would recommend APE to anyone. I even have used them at the apartments I work at to help with some painting problems we have had.

Guy and his brother Dave did an outstanding job in preparation, protecting, painting and clean-up. They were very professional in all aspects and always open to explaining what they were doing and why. They strived very hard to do as good a job as possible with great attention to detail. They were timely, honest and hard working in all they did while working in difficult conditions due to rain sessions. They took special care to protect objects around the house. I would definitly use them again. Very highly recommended!

Overall, it was a very positive experience. I am especially pleased with their punctuality and the cleanliness of the work. There was no debris laying around the property when they left. The only thing left was a great paint job.
Description of Work: The company performed two services: cleaning the moss off the gutters, and painting the exterior barges of the home. In addition, without charging me, they sprinkled moss out on the roof as a courtesy while they had the ladders up. I provided the material, but they did the labor. I couldn't have been more pleased. The job had to be done in two sessions because of the weather, but they were proactive in calling and setting up the second session as soon as we got some dry weather. I would highly recommend them.

Guy is an extremely hard worker and very knowledgeable about his craft. Every day he showed up on time and is a perfectionist when it comes to his prep work and painting. He is very concerned about doing everything right the first time. He thoroughly pressure washed, scraped and wire brushed our entire house. We had paint crumbling off our cedar siding from poor quality work that has been done in the past. He recommended a special elastic type primer for our particular problem.The stuff is amazing,he demonstrated its unusual enduring characteristics beforehand and after he primered the house with it, he showed us on our house itself how tightly it bonds,protects and yet breathes. The other thing I was impressed with, was he didn't just spray the paint on our house, it was followed with a roller brush immediately after it was sprayed on, to insure a deep adherence into the wood. He did the same with the primer what a difference! During the entire job he made sure to keep everything clean as he went, he really respected our property.
