"I was excited to work with Scott - I had a glowing recommendation from a friend, had seen his work, met him and he was very kind and professional. I paid him for a site visit and to help me come up with a design and plan for landscaping my yard and he never delivered. Scott came out to assess my property and discuss ideas in March and I was told for months that he was encountering delays and would deliver the designs we'd discussed "next week" or "after the weekend" etc. As I understand at least one of these was family/health related, which I fully understand, but he still promised to follow through by a certain date and didn't deliver. It's been about 5 months since he initially came out and I haven't heard anything in over a month. It seemed like a reasonable request for a simple job so I didn't enter any formal contract and paid cash up front for the designs, which in retrospect is my mistake. I hope Scott can get his schedule worked out and stay true to the promises he makes to his clients."
