About us

Sandra started working as a professional organizer in 2003. She was a founding member and secretary of the Seattle Area Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers. In 2005 she formed Empty Your Nest LLC and trained five organizers, three of whom have gone on to start organizing companies of their own. She specializes in downsizing and working with chronically disorganized clients. She works with you in your home, side by side, to help clear out your past to make room for your future

I reached out to Sandra at Empty Your Nest shortly after my husband died. Although her specialty was organization, she immediately stepped in to fill the role of personal assistant as well as document organizer for me. Sandra had access to all of my personal data and her trustworthiness cannot be overstated. She was invaluable in sorting out many of the details associated with estate settlement. She works well under specific guidelines but also takes initiative and communicates freely. I recommend her unreservedly.
Description of Work: She helped me organize paperwork, go through mail, create filing systems. She also helped me figure out where to donate items from my husband's estate. She has also acted as a personal assistant.

In the past, Sandra at Empty Your Nest has helped my husband clear out a full storage locker, she showed me and worked with me on setting up my 2 drawer filing cabinet, she helped me fully evaluate everything in two large closets. Sandra and I set up this appointment via email. She responds promptly both via email and cell phone.
Description of Work: During this session, Sandra and I started by weeding filing folder files of papers. While making those decisions, she advised on which ones should be shredded. We did some difficult folders involving health and financial issues. We also tackled a stack of papers I'd been stuck trying to decide what to do with them. Quite a few needed actions so for each one I wrote what my plan was to do --- to call someone, to take care of something, etc.
