It was really nice to get a deal on Hunter-Douglas blinds! I waited 10 years for a deal like this. He was very nice when I called him. He drove up from Auburn (which isn't close to me), measured and put them up. My windows are tricky and he did a great job. He hung the blinds very quickly. and I'd use him again. There were no problems at all. Even the installation was smooth - it only took about 45 minutes. He was always right on time, too.

Hal came promptly after we contact his company. He took the measurements and gave us to choose of what he think was the best option considering there were shutters installed in the rest of the windows. We pick him from three different estimates because he gave us the best price/quality option without forcing to pay for a particular expensive brand. He came back timely, installed the shutter that look awesome and even took time and lot of effort to repair some of the pre existing shutters. 100% recommendable!

Hal, the owner did an excellent job in helping us pick the right kind of shades for our needs and the color. In one of the rooms, he even suggested that we didn't need room darkening shades to save us a few hundred dollars on what we were otherwise picking. His quote was the most reasonable from the competitive bids we received and we are very happy with his work.

Overall happy with the end product. They don't give you the measurements to your own windows, which is annoying because you can't then compare prices per unit on your own. This was the second quote that we got it (budget being the other) and it was lower so we went with this one. I was happy with the recommendations he made for the different types of blinds around the house (top down bottom up etc.) and also the quality of manufacturers considering cost (value so to speak.) He also installed them. Did an okay job in that regard. We were picking up small pieces of packaging for many days afterwards though which was a little disappointing, and a bit unprofessional. Also if you have a ocd tendencies a few of the blinds were just barely crooked at the top. Tough to say if it was just the nature of the actual product against the window sills or if a little more care could have helped. Only noticeable if you stare at them, so still happy overall.

a sub contractor came out to the house when the blinds were in from the manufacturer, spent 4 hours putting up blinds , all fit very well, really helped with the hot summer sun we have had this summer. would use them again

Hal was prompt in responding to my request for an estimate and was helpful by answering questions I had and going over different options for my windows. The window coverings were delivered and installed when promised and I am completely satisfied with them.

We contacted Hal at Window-ology about shutters for our home office. Hal came out a couple days later and provided an estimate. We needed the shutters to match the wood trim, and during the estimate consultation, Hal found a near-perfect match with our existing wood trim. Given the estimate was in the ballpark for what we expected, given the quick response time in providing a quote, given the promised five-week installation time, and given the reputation for doing the work right the first time, we chose Window-ology. Five weeks later, Hal installed the shutters with no issues. We are very pleased with the quality of craftmanship and installation (you can block out the light when these shutters are closed), and the consensus is that the room looks better than it originally did! We are so glad we chose shutters over blinds, shades, or drapes; and we are glad we chose a seasoned professional to do the job right.

Hal gave me the estimate on the phone when we made the appointment, and then picked up and delivered the repaired blinds on the appointed times.

Hal is the owner/operator of Window-ology and is good for his word. He arrived on time and took all the measurements. Hal explained how the blinds would be installed explaining why he would set them back and he was absolutely correct, as the blinds look and operate perfectly. We then discussed the various options deciding to go with the Hunter Douglas brand as I have had those before and the quality is excellent. We were told the blinds would take three weeks and they were right on time as was Hal to install them.Because you are working with the owner of the company the service is excellent and Hal makes it clear to call if anything should go wrong or just with questions. He is on the road a lot and sometimes cannot call back immediately but always returns calls in a resonable time frame.Hal has an excellent sense of decorating and what will and will not work with your homes decor.Although the blinds we chose were on the expensive side Hal's services were not. He even made good on a rebate of $400. that he had told us would be available. When he discovered that it had expired he took the $400. off of the bill.Need window coverings? Hal came to our home and clearly explained our options for window treatments. He was extremely knowledgeable about the products and very professional. We had another company come out before Hal but Hal's experience and knowlege far exceeded the other company. We purchased the Hunter Douglas shades and Hal returned to install them, on schedule, a few weeks later. We could not be happier, and would definitely do business with Window-ology again.

That went very well. We have a curtain in our kitchen that rolls up like a stage curtain. I could not figure out how to fix it and he was able to fix it. He also fixed a blind. He also installed a shade on the exterior of the house to cut down the sun's glare. He was really good.

We called for a few different estimates from other companies, and when we met Hal, we decided that he was the professional we wanted to go with. Communication with Hal was excellent. He scheduled our appointments with realistic timeframes, and he was always prompt, very clean, and organized. The jobs took exactly as long as he told us they would, and he had cleaned up everything so all that was left was the shutters installed perfectly. We had difficult custom windows that would normally make plantation shutters hard to install, and they look amazing!! We now have the most beautiful plantation shutters installed on almost all of our windows (15 of them so far). Hal's professionalism and expertise is very precise and he is very much a perfectionist when it comes to ordering the correct type and look we were looking for. His finish work was fantastic. We felt he went above and beyond. He is very conscientious about the end result. We will have Hal back to finish the remaining windows (5 more) when the time is right for us. I would recommend Hal to my family members and close friends. He is totally trustworthy, knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. I like that the guy that comes to give the estimate, and measure is also the guy that comes back to install the plantation shutters as well. Very personable and very professional.

Hal came out within a couple of days and knew exactly what the problem was. He went about fixing it and did an excellent job. I've had him fix other blinds and he is always prompt,courteous and professional. He was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

From my first contact with Hal Ryerson, he was very responsive and helpful, not to mention just a nice guy. He was punctual for his initial consult appointment and came fully prepared. I was 99% sure I wanted the plantation style shutters for most of the windows, but I had no idea what I wanted for our two large master bathroom windows. He had helpful ideas and brought great product samples. With his help, we decided on honeycomb shades that adjust from the top and bottom. They allow a lot of natural light into the bathroom but offer full privacy as well. Hal even helped me select the best color for our decor. For the shutters, he made sure that we selected real wood shutters as opposed to composite wood for the larger windows so they would not sag. I appreciated that tip! I had him go ahead and order our shutters and honeycomb shades, and as soon as they were in, he called me to schedule the installation. At the time, he only had one installer whom he had personally trained. That made me feel really comfortable, especially since I would not be able to be home for the installation. ALL of the coverings were installed in one day! I got home from work and quickly went to each room to check it out, and I was very pleased with his work. The shutters fit perfectly and looked just as I had imagined. The installer did not make a mess (or if he did, he did a great job of cleaning up after himself). There were no footprints on our light colored carpet, etc. This was especially impressive because it was pouring down rain that day. There was actually one window where Hal had made a simple error in his measurements, so the shutter didn't fit right. But he called and informed me of it right away, and said the new shutter was already on order. I didn't even have time to pick up the phone and ask him about it, he was that quick to inform me of it. It was no big deal at all to me, we all make mistakes! He refused to accept my final payment until the new shutters came in and were installed. He was very prompt in letting me know when the new ones were in and sent his installer back ASAP. They're beautiful and add to the aesthetic appeal of our home. We get compliments on them regularly. I will only hire Hal and his team again if I have more window covering needs in the future.

This is a vertical blind across a 6' glass door. When I opened the blind the cord snapped and came loose. I called Hal who had done work for me in the past. He came within 3 days, right on time and repaired the cord. He took great care and advised me of some additional problems with the blind. He offered to order parts should I so decide and install them at a very reasonable cost.

Very reasonable pricing, fast service and professional work. Had everything he needed, even a little step ladder. Put blinds away in safe place for me, I didn't have to lift a finger. Same with putting them back up, they were retrieved out of storage and hung promptly.

Hal (owner) was on time. He listened to what I wanted and offered options. If I was debating between a couple of colors, if I asked he would give me pros and cons but never tried to influence me. What I liked best was that I was going to go with a the highest priced window treatments in the living room because the color was better. He brought in a slightly less expensive version of the same thing that he thought would match my color needs and he was right. Anyone who is willing to earn less on a sale to make his customer happy is a good person in my estimation.

WINDOW-OLOGY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HAL RZERSON-OWNER WAS ALWAYS VERY PROMPT IN RESPONDING AND PATIENT WITH US. HE SHOWED US SEVERAL DIFFERENT SAMPLES AND GAVE US A LOT OF IDEAS TO CHOOSE FROM.
