I got what I purchased, but there were some issues along the way.

Hal, the owner, is a true professional. He showed up on time, was very friendly and professional, and performed the job quickly. We're very happy with Window-Ology and will use them again without hesitation. A+ all around.

The sales and installation were done well. Hal was responsive to our needs and worked with us on the design and quote.

Beautiful job, very well done. Hal was one of two companies who came to give me an estimate. I asked both companies for suggestions and advice, and Hal's advice was not only really helpful, it was oriented to what I needed and asked for. The other company was both hesitant to give any advice and then when they did so, pushed for the most expensive items. Hal listened to what my goals were and didn't push me towards anything in particular. He showed me all the options and professionally discussed pros and cons. He measured that day, and sent me the estimate in email within a day or two. The cost was right in the price range I could do. He was also willing to hang up some curtain rods for me which the other company was not. And by that I mean, I was willing to pay for the service and the other company said, we don't do that unless we are doing a full window treatment. I had the drapes, I just needed the rods. Hal put them up for me on the same day he came to replace all my blinds. And fast! Boy was he fast. Old ones down, new ones up and I think in my 3 BR, 2 story house it took no more than an hour. The shades were all made to measure, fit beautifully, and work great. I love them and think they look lovely. I have gotten several compliments on them. Several months later, everything still works great and looks good. He does a great job.

The service went well. It was really quick. The guy’s name is Hal and he was very helpful. He represented himself and the company very well.

We aren't very creative but he was very good. He wasn't pushy but he gave us some good ideas and when they came out it was very good. The price was on the high end but the quality was good. It took a little longer to make them than he thought it would. He was very professional.

Hal has done several jobs for us over the years. My husband first contacted him because he was our new neighbor. His prices seemed reasonable for top-of-the-line blinds so we hired him to install new blinds for our home. They have lasted very well and they're over 18 years old now. Now and then they have to be restrung and he comes out promptly and fixes them expertly. He tackles every job with enthusiasm, sincerity and friendliness. He works on our home like it was his own. He really cares and that's rare today. Thanks for all you do, Hal!

Helped us with blinds for our living room. Such a great experience, came to our house and help us pick out shades that looked great and were within our budget. Installation was great and we are very satisfied

He was very nice and wrote to me right away. I explained to him that I had a remodeling project coming up, so we scheduled for April. Everything is fine so far!

Provider was very professional and nice. Quote was absurd. The quotes I received and accepted by one of them was thousands of dollars less, and we're very happy. I feel the money spent was just a waste for my half hour-hour of time. It is an income unto itself. $200+ an hour to measure and quote, whether the job (most unlikely) is ever performed. And this was allegedly a significant savings on the quote, I was "saving" a $189!!!

They were at our house 3 times. The first time was to go through and measure the windows and determine what we wanted. Hal provided excellent information and was able to identify and match our existing blinds just by looking at them. He provided options and recommendations (e.g. real wood is lighter, but you don't want real wood over the bathtub) and eventually an estimate. A day or two later, I got an emailed estimate and was able to tweak a couple pieces over email. The second time they were here was for the installation. There were two guys who went through the install very quickly. They even deal with a minor part issue and cleaned up after themselves. Unfortunately, I realized that one of the blinds was not going back up that evening. Before I had a chance to call the next morning, Hal was calling me to see how things went. I mentioned the problem blinds, and he immediately ordered a replacement and set up a time to come by and fix it. The final time they were here was to replace the faulty blinds. Overall, I'm very happy.

We purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List from Windowology ($200 for $400 worth of window blinds), and within a day or two, Hal from Windowology contacted us to schedule our consultation - great prompt and proactive customer service! I was called by another employee the day before our appointment just to confirm it, and then they arrived on time the next day. They showed us samples and helped us quickly narrow down what products would give us what we wanted and needed (mainly privacy and light filtering), and helped us pick the right colors for the different rooms (various shades of white, who knew there were so many?). Within an hour we had our blinds picked out, measured and ordered. It was quick and easy! Hal returned three weeks later to install the blinds, which he did himself, and they all look and work beautifully. What a difference they make in our house! Why did we wait 7 years to buy these?! Overall we are very happy with the service and products we received from Windowology and highly recommend them.

This is the second time I've used Windowology. Hal is great to work with, and the Hunter Douglas blinds are very high quality. I chose a blind that was on the higher end, but felt it was a good value. The Angie's List posting saved me $200.00 (each time!). I would highly recommend Hal and Windowology!

Window-ology did a great job in all respects. They worked hard to find a consult and then an install time that worked for me; they were punctual and very responsive to my calls. On the first visit they were a little late--but given where they were coming from, and the traffic these days at morning rush hour, I can't fault them for arriving late--they were very apologetic. Everything else went very smoothly. Quite a few options to consider, and the final product ended up being exactly as described. The next visit was the install, which came 2 weeks later. They were in, done and out in well under an hour. The big deal from Angie's List saved me $200 off Hunter Douglas shades--and given how expensive quality custom shades are, it was well worth it. Best part--the shades look great and the bedroom is pitch dark when I want it to be, and shows off the leaded glass windows during the day. I would definitely use Window-ology again for help with window shades.

Very professional. Quick and easy - didn't feel pressured to buy anything unnecessary. They were really there to help with my needs. I will use again in the future.

The shades and blinds were well priced. Consultation and installation were both accomplished in a timely fashion.

Hal from Window-ology is professional, friendly and honest. He is meticulous about his work and does an great job. I would highly recommend them (and I have). My Mom also used them and was very pleased. One time I had an issue with a blind closing properly several months after installation. I called Hal and he came out the next day to fix. No issues since. High quality products, great variety of choices and superior service. A+

When we moved in there were no window coverings at all. Hal was fantastic start to finish. He worked us into his busy schedule quickly and helped us choose the right options for our style of home, light level, and lifestyle. There was an issue with the freight company losing our order temporarily, but he worked with us and them until the situation was resolved. Hal was always fair and professional, and he kept us informed regularly as we waited for our shutters to arrive. We would absolutely use his service again and we recommend him to all our friends.

I told the owner on the phone that my project was a small one and that I was operating on a limited budget. He said "no problem - they did small - large jobs". During the free in-home consultation, I was shown a range of products varying in price. I felt no pressure to make a purchase. I told him that I would call him regarding my decision. he was gracious throughout the consultation. The blinds that I ordered were installed right on time on the day they were promised. They fit perfectly and looked great. I asked the installers to dispose of the old blinds and they graciously did so. I would use this company again in the future, if I needed window treatment products. I would also recommend this company to my friends.

I contacted 3 contractors as I would any service. Hal, who owns the business, was competitive and offered the best product. He measured while the home was still under construction but since it was going to take some time to order them, we wanted to do it ahead of time. He was so easy to work with and since he was also the installer, we felt he was the most competent. Hal also scheduled the installation date ahead of time and when I informed him of the closing/completion date of the home about 2 months later, he informed me we can move up installation two weeks sooner since the shutters were arriving ahead of schedule. That was great news. Hal arrived on time for all appointments including the installation day. Unfortunately, since the window sills were completed different than expected by the builder, the shutters were too long. This is were Hal's in-depth knowledge and experience came in. He was able to make it work to our satisfaction. He had to trim all the shutters and make it work. Our patio door window covering was beautiful thanks to Hal's recommendation. Both my husband and I could not tell the difference that the shutters were trimmed; him and his assistant cleaned the garage where they worked to trim the shutters; cleaned up after themselves inside the home. OMG, we were so impressed with Hal's expertise and ability to deliver the services and products he promised. Our home looks beautiful and we are so happy with the outcome.

Installed Silhouette blinds on my living room window, to replace old ones that had been damaged. Hal was extremely nice to work with. The blinds were expensive but he seemed to do his best to keep the price down as much as possible for me. I wasn’t sure of which white to order but went with his recommendation and am very pleased with it. After he left and I raised and lowered them myself, I noticed that one bottom corner wasn’t hanging freely, but I figured out how to adjust it at the top to fix it, so I didn’t need to call him back.

Blinds always cost more that expected, but good quality, and good advice by service rep.

We only had three windows that needed blinds but the process was efficient and the result was as expected. I would recommend them and I plan on using them again in a couple of weeks for about 10 more windows.

The service went fine. I paid an additional $900 to have then replace an existing shade. The owner came out for the job. He was very friendly and prompt. He did exactly what the said he would. He completed the service in about 35 minutes after he got the blind. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.

We are waiting on parts to arrive to complete the work. We expect the total price to be $270-280. It's taking a little longer than we expected, but we thought the individual was very professional.
