Guardian was extremely efficient. Our roof has numerous peaks and valleys, and even a turret. It is not a simple roof to cover. The crew leader was amazing. He listened to our concerns and did a marvelous job. When one of our small shrubs was accidentally broken from falling debris, the owner Matt Swanson called and apologized and sent us a check to replace the plant. Very impressive! Also, when there was a very tiny adjustments that needed to be made on a gutter a month or so later, the crew leader came right out to our house and fixed it. What positive customer service! In fact, I was so pleased I referred them to a very good friend when she needed a new roof. Thank you Guardian Roofing!

Very good. Tech Pat Kollar inspected home and determined prior roofing needed replacement along with underlayment. Previous contractor that did my roof didn't install underlayment and when I tried to get it resolved with them they wouldn't respond. Glad Guardian Roofing did a quality inspection to identify the issues I was having.

The gentleman out to do our estimate was very nice, and did a very thorough job in reviewing the work that needed to be done so a complete estimate could be given. Although by far the highest estimate we received, (double of one estimate we got) (Range was 18K-24K for Guardian to replace our roof and two skylights) for a 1620 square foot house with no excessive inclines. I've heard their quality is amazing, but not sure if we can afford this route. But would still recommend them.

They started roofing about a month early since the weather was good. Foreman told me some of my large skylights (4' x 3') might be difficult to find the flashing for it. They did as much as they could then ordered the flashing, After waiting 2 weeks, the operations manager called and said the flashing would here "next week". The week passed then the same guy called and said almost the exact same thing. Then he called and said the flashing kits were here and they would be out to finish the job. They came and finished (mostly). The foreman (Patrick) then told me they were crediting me $350 for the flashing kits since they couldn't get them. He said they were able to re-use the existing flashing. I didn't mind that they were using the old flashing but why did the operations manager (Peter) tell me they were ordered and had arrived??? Did he have to lie? Patrick was great however - he went over and above what was required to make sure we were satisfied. Everything was cleaned up even better than when they arrived!

Summary: AVOID GUARDIAN AT ALL COSTS. According to our house inspector (who has been inspecting for 33 years), Guardian did a “very poor,” “unprofessional,” “unacceptable,” and “non-conforming” job. In addition to poor and missing nailing and improper shingle installation over rake boards, they also installed a cheaper grade of wood than what was stated in the contract. Guardian then stopped responding to our requests that they fix the problems. So we disputed the charge with our credit card company. THEN Guardian contacted us to fix the work, which they finished about 3 rainy months after the original work. Then they overcharged us $180 on the final bill, even though we had agreed in writing on the exact amount, and we had to get that overcharge resolved. Horrible quality, horrible communication, and difficulty resolving the problem. Details: We had Guardian repair a leak. They replaced roughly 20% of the shingles on our roof. They also replaced some of the underlying wood. In one section of the roof, where the wood was visible from underneath in the overhang of our front porch, the contract stated that they would install CDX plywood. We then had a house inspector check the work. The inspector said: “The quality of your roof repair is very poor and unprofessional. . . . Your shingle manufacturer's warranty may be voided by the lack of proper nailing. Please review the attachment with photos of representative samples of what I consider unacceptable and non-conforming workmanship.” The report indicated that many nails were improperly nailed, some shingles did not have the required minimum number of nails, and shingles were not installed correctly over rake boards. In addition, the report indicated that Guardian installed cheaper ACX wood (with many visible knots) instead of the knot-free CDX. Thus, we had cheap-looking wood in half of our front porch overhang, while the original smooth CDX existed elsewhere. If we hadn’t had an inspector check, we wouldn’t have had any idea that we got the wrong wood. (You wonder how often roofers install cheaper material without the customer finding out.) We asked Guardian to fix the problems. They said the owner would contact us in a “couple days.” Those days came and went, and Guardian then stopped responding to our emails. So we disputed the charge with our credit card company. THEN Guardian contacted us to fix the work, which they finished about 3 months after the original work. Those 3 months covered January to April, during the rainiest winter in years. To his credit, the owner (Matt Swanson) admitted in email to “poor communication” and “I again apologize for the workmanship.” However, after we justifiably asked for a good-will discount, Swanson wrote that he’d do so only “with the stipulation that you will not post any negative comments on social media, or via email, or anywhere else.” We decided it was more important to warn others, so we declined the strings-attached discount. It then took us four emails to get Swanson to confirm the exact amount that they would put back on our credit card (which, easily enough, was the original disputed amount). After they repaired their repair (or, more accurately, we hope they fixed it --- time will tell), Guardian then charged us $180 more than that agreed-upon amount! So we had to contact them about that, which they correctly resolved. Note: We can back up every detail above with our inspector’s PDF report (with many photos demonstrating the unprofessional and unacceptable work), emails, and documentation associated with our credit-card dispute.

Guardian Roofing did a great job on my new TPO roof . Communication and professionalism was above average my opinion. Joshua is very professional and well spoken. After the job was done, a separate contractor found a roofing nail in his tire due to the area not being properly cleaned after the job was done . Guardian Roofing was very responsive, they took care of the issue and even compensated me for the damage and time. I am very pleased with Guardian Roofing and would use again

Don't hire this company. They use very sharp business practices - opaque cost estimates and sales pressure - in ways that would make it hard for anyone that isn't experienced with cost estimating and construction to not be taken advantage of. They were operating under Jorve's name last fall when they did the original work and now they are Guardian Roofing. First, about the cost estimate. Though they use a detailed cost estimating program, the customer can only see a one page hand filled in sheet that identifies all costs, including labor, including labor, rolled into units costs for materials. The customer can't tell if the employees are legal and what costs are. When pressed, they reluctantly revealed one average unit cost per hour for labor. Second, the response to the leak, described above. They didn't mind water running down the inside wall of my house for 10 days after looking at it. Not a priority to send the crew to repair warrantied work. On the day of the original work, 3 crew members showed up separately and no one was in charge. Two of the guys had different opinions about the shingle color being wrong and what should be done about it. One went off and bought a different color of shingles while the other told me that the new shingles that the other guy was buying would be the wrong color. The guy who appeared to be in charge turned out to be the cleanup guy. I called the company to find a supervisor and get somebody out to the job to figure out what should be done. He arrived, talked with me and left but I'd lost confidence in the crew by then. No one was around to check the quality of work or sign off on the job completion when done. These guys were on their own with no one running the show. I wouldn't recommend them under any circumtances.

It went well. Started and ended according to plan. We had 3 bids on a the roof. Guardian wasn't the cheapest but they were the most thorough. For example, they offered to replace our skylights. We'd actually been having problems with ours so we were thrilled to get them switched out and it wasn't very expensive to do so. They also offered to fix an exposed wood railing that was giving us issues. In all, they did a great job. The only reason that I gave them a B in quality is that we were finding nails and debris for days after they were done. Cleanliness is a big selling point of theirs so they could have done a little better here. Regardless, I would hire them again. They did a great job on installation and fixed several issues.

It was fantastic, I have maintenance agreement with them. I think this year they are going to come out and spray again, they do that once a year. That I am sure I will be charged for regardless. They do a great job. They always make sure they clean up. I have never had any issues with them over spraying or anything like that. I pay a monthly fee for a maintenance. I have never used any other service but when I looked around, I believe that they were maybe not the cheapest, but probably the best value that I saw.

Very good. They were great! They identified a problem, even though it cost us more than we thought it would, they would have not had a good roof on had they not have done the repair work the other companies did not do. We got estimates, they weren't the cheapest but I felt like they did good quality work. I felt like we got our money's worth. When they said they were going to be here they were.

When they took off my shake roof and put up an composite roof, when they took off the shake, the damaged the siding and stuff, they did not match the paint, like they said they would. I got different color spots, and need to look for someone to repaint the house. I got an referral from an neighbor, and was disappointed with Guardian, and I had to have them back in for the siding they split, never said anything about the painting not match, they said the paint is new and has to be seasoned, but the paint has not matched up yet, couple things like that, they sent some things to refer them, and I have not done that, I am not pleased with them, the price is great, roof is fine, the peripheral stuff, lets say I won't hire them again. I even sent an email, how to take care of an composite roof, and I never heard from them. The price is fine,The roof is good, the customer service is not. Their peripheral is not great. They damaged some siding, came back to fix it, some siding still split, but the house is not gonna fall down because of it. They are big around here, but its not an company I would recommend to anybody, from my personal experience. The guy came, and gave us an discount, the roof is fine, but the installation has some issues.

They where very punctual for their appointment time. They have workers with uniforms on and well marked trucks showing they are with Guardian Roofing. Very professional. They did find the leak and where very good about explaining why the leak happened (we have an old roof, with old roofing nails, weather etc..) and how they where going to fix it. They did a great job in fixing it. We have not had any more leaks. But if we do we will call Guardian Roofing again. They did a great job.

Overall the roof turned out great in the end, and Guardian was professional to get this project to completion. Unfortunately it was a long difficult path to get to the project finished - the roof part of the job went pretty well. I really like the new roof and give it 5 stars. However the skylight part of our project was very challenging and painful for all parties involved. We have opening Velux skylights, and the new skylights were not compatible with the old wiring and controllers. I would have expected the salesman or installers to have known that prior to installation. If that had been known up front it would have been very easy to address the problem with a different Velux product. Unfortunately it ended up with skylights installed that required pulling wires through finished sheetrock, which was messy and painful. It all turned out well in the end, and Guardian was very ethical and held to their original commitments, which I greatly appreciate. I know other contractors who would either try to shift the blame to someone else or walk away from the job and leave the homeowner to resolve the problems themselves. Thankfully, Guardian and I worked through the problems step by step and came to an acceptable solution for both of us. We have working skylights now, walls patched, and other than a lot of interior painting this one is done. 5 stars for the roof, 2 stars for the skylights. In summary I called it 4 stars because they didn't cut bait when the skylight project went sideways.

Recieved three bids from locally well known roofing companies recommended by friends. Guardian was the only one to request attic access during the bid process. Identified additional problems and included those items as part of their bid; thus eliminating unplanned non-recurring (surprize) additional costs during the installation project. All three bids were within $2K of each other; however, Guardian non-recurring work was part of their bid, and was not the highest bid submitted. Crews arrived on the day and time scheduled in advance; cleaned up complely (roofing paper, shingles, nails, staples, wood scrapes, etc.) at the end of each workday over the three day project. Foreman walked through progress at the end of every work day and upon completion. Two weeks after project completition, Guardian conducted an internal photo review of the project at their offices; identified a few minor items to address; contacted us and completed those items a few days later. Entire project from bid, installation, clean up, follow up was EXCELLENT!!

Guardian redid the flashing around the skylight that other roofers we're not able to fix. We haven't had any issues since having Guardian out. While they were here, we also had them do some repairs to our ridge, redo the flashing around our chimney that another roofer did incorrectly and address a couple pipe boots that were corroding. Guardian also cleaned the cedar shakes and treated them and the roof looks better than it ever has.
