+ -1 moreThe work went very well. The initial inspector was prompt and through, climbing up into our attic to locate the leak and walking the roof. He put up tarp over the roof damage to prevent further water from getting in. The "B" for responsiveness is because the inspector claimed the work would be done in about two weeks, then the company called & put off the work a month, but later they pulled the repair date back a week or so. The repair guy (not the same as the inspector) spend a few hours on the roof replacing shingles and repairing/replacing shingles along a ridgeline. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the work.

+ -1 moreFirst repair was to to chimney flashing. Guardian technician was very professional, helpful, and thorough. Unfortunately, that did not fix all the problem. Smaller leak was disclosed at the next heavy rain .When I called Guardian Roofing about the remaining leak, they quickly sent the same roofer out to fix that. He found small cracks in the chimney All it took to fix that was re-pointing and repairing the chimney and more money. So far, there has not been heavy rain and more leaks.

+ -1 moreThere were two locations leaking but initially appeared to be one. A second visit was required to located the second leak and make appropriate repairs. Jason Hanford was the technician making all repairs resulting in all leaks stopped.

+ -1 moreI had them out on 2 occasions to diagnose a difficult leak issue. Both Justin and Joseph were super responsive, friendly and professional! When the first "fix" didn't address the problem, Justin was back within the hour (in the pouring down rain) to tarp off the roof until they could get a solid diagnosis. On the 2nd visit, Joseph was thorough and explained what he found and even emailed photos! Not a single drop of water since! Both of them told me not to hesitate to call if anything was not to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Following the removal of 4 very large skylights (200 lbs each!), on the first heavy rain a leak appeared 2 floors down.

+ -1 moreI have used Guardian roofing for many years. First: I had a shake roof on my house. Guardian Roofing helped me clean and protect my shake roof and repaired any shakes as necessary. Here is where the great service comes in. If I had any leaks in my shake roof that was because of their service, they repaired it at their cost. Every person they sent out to my home for service was polite, courteous, and was working with me to satisfy MY needs. If they made a mess, there made sure that it was cleaned up per My satisfaction. Second; last year I had my shake roof replaced with a Certain Teed Landmark TL Roofing. It was a complete tear off and replace. The crew was Great. They covered my bushes, Garage doors and anything else that could be damaged. They cleaned up every night before going home and made sure it was to My satisfaction. They were here for three and a half days and when they finished, the crew went around the house with me to make sure I was happy, (They were very Customer oriented). They also made sure that all gutters and down spouts were clean out. I cannot complain about Guardian Roofing and their service. Third: they just recently applied a Moss and Algae treatment on my roof. They were very customer oriented and made sure that all was cleaned up. I have no complaints or arguments with Guardian Roofing and their Crew. The last thing that is important to me and their customers, they were hooked up with a safety line and worker Safety First. I would Recommend Guardian Roofing to anyone.

+ -1 moreIt went ok, however it took a long time. I had to call 3 times to get them out, and then when they came out they had to get multiple parts, etc. The process took longer than it should've we felt. Once they did the work it was of good quality though.

I do not bother getting estimates anymore because they are always among the most reasonable with customer service that can't be matched. + 0 moreI turned this company in to the Atty Generals Office and the Better Business Bureau. This company is a bunch of lying crooks. The Owner/General Manager Matt Swanson, wrote a letter to the Atty General that was nothing but lies and fabrications. He states that they did not damage the fascia during the tear off and that his field supervisor "Abe" showed photos of the fascia before and after to both me and my Mother. That is a damned good trick as there were no photos taken, they were not shown to me and my Mother as the photos do not exist, and finally my "Mother" passed away several years ago. These idiots still have not even sent me the receipt for final payment as I have requested several times. I have sent letters to this company several times as well as phone calls and have received nothing but lies and refusal to repair my building..DO NOT HIRE THESE CLOWNS. Remember! Guardian and Jorve are owned by the same people Check out more reviews. All are negative.
Description of Work: I have had nothing but problems with this Company. I hired them to tear off my roof and install a new Torch down roof. I was assured the workers were Journeymen and had experience installing Torch down. In fact, none were Journeymen, and didn't speak English, which made communication difficult. I tried to explain how I wanted the roof installed (I am a retired Journeyman roofer). They installed it in such a way that good roofing practices were not utilized. During tear off, the Fascia board at the NE corner of the roof was kicked out a few inches and was not properly repaired and attached before roofing over. Upon completion of the job, I was told someone would be out to clean all roofing related debris and the roof pressure washed, as well as a walkover final inspection. After 2 weeks, I had to call and have someone come out to clean. On Nov. 7 cleaning was done and on Nov. 8 "Abe" came out and did a walkover with me. At that time, I pointed out my concerns with the roof, including the Fascia board situation. On Nov. 10 I wrote a letter to Jorve again requesting the Fascia be repaired and enclosed a check for $4,110.00 (Attached). On Nov. 23, a worker came out to repair the Fascia, but told me he was unable to because there was "fiber" holding the Fascia out. The "fiber" he referred to is the cant strip on the inside of the Fascia that was pushed out during the tear off. I paid the entire bill as expected, except I held out $1,000.00 until the Fascia had been repaired. On Dec. 27 Jorve sent me a threatening E-mail and voice mail saying that they have sent me several notices for payment (which they did not, nor did they send any invoices). On that same day, they crafted a threatening letter to me demanding payment. (Attached). Keep in mind; repairs to the Fascia still have not been done by them. On Jan. 4, 2017, I called Jorve and told them the call was in regards to their nasty threatening letter and messages. I made a payment that day for $1,000.00(that payment was deposited the same day) to get them off my back with a request that they send me a receipt for that payment and that they send somebody out to repair the Fascia. I was assured that they would take care of both items. On Feb. 10, I received a letter from Jorve; I thought they finally sent me the receipt for the $1,000.00 payment. What I found when I opened the envelope, was not a receipt but a bill for $5,110.00 Due Now! That prompted me to send them a letter outlining my feelings. On Feb. 15, I wrote a letter to Jorve explaining my feelings about them. (Attached) As of the date of this writing, June 14, 2017, I still have not received the receipt as promised and the repairs to my Fascia still have NOT been done.

Description of Work: First time I had a leak in roof first told me I needed roof replaced was the only way they would go it. Guardian assested the roof and recommend replacing only a small section do to water damage. Only what as nessassary. Second time was when I needed additional venting attic specialist said 14 more vents Guardian was convinced I only needed two bathroom vents and this satisfied the buyer for the house, Quiet resonalbe and quick once given the go ahad.

He brought a can-do attitude, extensive knowledge and experience, and creative thinking to the project. As the "architect/visionary" of the project, he added lots of value. Then, the crew foreman, Guillermo, a true journeyman, brought a can-do attitude, calm and steady demeanor, and strong work ethic to the project delivery. While these highly talented and ethical employees were a delight to work with, credit must ultimately go to the owners, Matt and Lori for creating and maintaining a company culture that values and retains these employees. Kudos to the Guardian team!
Description of Work: Our job was extremely unique and challenging. We replaced a vented cedar shake roof with an unvented tile roof. In addition, our roof has many hips and facets, and is steep.

He listened to our concerns and did a marvelous job. When one of our small shrubs was accidentally broken from falling debris, the owner Matt Swanson called and apologized and sent us a check to replace the plant. Very impressive! Also, when there was a very tiny adjustments that needed to be made on a gutter a month or so later, the crew leader came right out to our house and fixed it. What positive customer service! In fact, I was so pleased I referred them to a very good friend when she needed a new roof. Thank you Guardian Roofing!
Description of Work: In the middle of a rainstorm we discovered we had a leak from the roof. We called Guardian Roofing and a very kind gentleman came out immediately. After going in the attic and crawling on the roof , he patched up the spot where the water was coming in. We also discovered our entire roof was beginning to fail because of poor application when the roof was first put on at the time of construction.

Description of Work: Our roof suddenly started leaking near a peak and we called Guardian to fix it in the middle of a rainstorm. A very kind gentleman came out, went in the attic,and crawled up on the roof to patch it up, and did not charge us. We then arranged to have an inspection and found our entire roof had started to deteriorate from the poor original roofing construction of our home. The repair ended up being for free because we did choose to put on our new roof with Guardian.

Previous contractor that did my roof didn't install underlayment and when I tried to get it resolved with them they wouldn't respond. Glad Guardian Roofing did a quality inspection to identify the issues I was having.

+ -1 moreThe gentleman out to do our estimate was very nice, and did a very thorough job in reviewing the work that needed to be done so a complete estimate could be given. Although by far the highest estimate we received, (double of one estimate we got) (Range was 18K-24K for Guardian to replace our roof and two skylights) for a 1620 square foot house with no excessive inclines. I've heard their quality is amazing, but not sure if we can afford this route. But would still recommend them.

+ 1 moreThey started roofing about a month early since the weather was good. Foreman told me some of my large skylights (4' x 3') might be difficult to find the flashing for it. They did as much as they could then ordered the flashing, After waiting 2 weeks, the operations manager called and said the flashing would here "next week". The week passed then the same guy called and said almost the exact same thing. Then he called and said the flashing kits were here and they would be out to finish the job. They came and finished (mostly). The foreman (Patrick) then told me they were crediting me $350 for the flashing kits since they couldn't get them. He said they were able to re-use the existing flashing. I didn't mind that they were using the old flashing but why did the operations manager (Peter) tell me they were ordered and had arrived??? Did he have to lie? Patrick was great however - he went over and above what was required to make sure we were satisfied. Everything was cleaned up even better than when they arrived!
Description of Work: After Guardian tried to clean my roof with a lot of Douglas fir needles, they told me I do need a new roof. They initially said it was fine and that it was a 30 year roof that was 20 years old. Salesman sold me a "50 year" roof of Corning-Owens asphalt.
