Guardian Roofing, Gutters & Insulation

The salesman that came out was very nice. He said that the solar tube could not be stopped from leaking without being replaced and so we asked him to replace it and some other work. He inspected the roof and said it had 5 or 10 years left on it. He said it didn't need replacing. After the solar tube was replaced and several boards were replaced and the moss was cleaned off they realized that the shingles were bad and that the roof needed to be replaced. They gave us a huge estimate for the roof replacement saying that the solar tubes would have to be replaced even though one had just been replaced. Later I found out that replacing the solar tubes was not necessary to put on a new roof. The communication within the company was very poor. I had to keep calling to get things straight . They did a good job with what they did but they charge way more than other companies. It took we several weeks of calling to get a receipt for my payment. I would not recommend them.

Took longer than expected (8 work days instead of 3-4 projected), but that did not impact pricing. Looks good and crew was very meticulous. Very happy with the completed roof.

I am updating this review to much higher grades after talking with them at great length about the original problems I encountered. Guardian is not the cheapest out there but they did do great work on our home! We had some issues with our chimney which we never would have known if we hadn't called about an issue with our roof. They were about the only Roofing Company around with masons on staff. That sold us on them. Lori called me personally and apologized and took full responsibility for what happened. In turn I agreed to update my review if they lived up to their end of the agreement. I'm more than pleased to say they've made up for it in spades!! They've been fantastic to allay my concerns and make sure that I felt at ease about any of the problems that I thought I had. They even offered to have someone come out and crawl through my attic to take stock of the integrity of my roof. Thank you Guardian for really stepping up when we had a disagreement. I'll definitely be calling you guys again!

Awesome they showed up when they said. Work was done quickly and professionally. Roof and gutters look awesome!

I hired them to replace two of my skylights and even signed the contract and put a down payment. However, when they told me the date they will show up they never did and not even calling to reschedule. They did this twice. I finally cancelled the contract. Terrible costumer service. Another issue with their service is that they told me they will send someone after a week of 4th of July and they called me the day before that someone will come today (not even a timeline) to your house to install the skylights. I told them before that I need a more time to coordinate with work and family when someone will be coming to do the job. It appears their project management is lacking coordination and good scheduling.

Great! The new gutters keep the water from overflowing onto the home. The original gutters were inadequate for the steep slope and volume of water flowing off our roof. The only issue is the crew that was sent out wasn’t able to clean off the debris higher up on our roof. We would definitely use Guardian again.

Guardian was highly responsive after a windstorm that sent a branch through our roof. They were the most responsive of the roof repair companies we reached out to. Their process was less time-consuming, as the same person that gave the estimate also came back later that day with supplies to complete the work, which meant I had to miss less work. The quality of their fix was very good too, so overall very happy.

It went fantastic. From the front office to the technician, everything was exceptional. We have a new roofing company!

Excellent evaluation, and very reasonable proposal and price. Accepted bid for work to be done in a couple of weeks. This is the second project I’ve scheduled with this firm.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and attention to detail provided by the Guardian Roofing sales rep and project coordination and scheduling staff. They were all extremely thorough and responsive as to the date and timing of the start of our deck reroofing project. Likewise, the crew that actually did the work were well trained and experienced installers and did an excellent job. However, at the tail end of the project, I experienced a full power outage in an adjacent bathroom and a partial outage in an adjacent bedroom. I assumed that I had a tripped breaker or gfi. After the installers completed the job, I asked them to provide a note in their paperwork about the power outage. I subsequently checked all of the breakers and gfi units and found them all to be functioning normally. I contacted Brennan Electric and had them come out to diagnose the problem and outline a solution. They came back a few days later and made the necessary repairs. Matt, the owner of Guardian Roofing, called me early the following week and we discussed an amicable settlement covering the added costs to the roofing project; Guardian Roofing agreed to cover the costs for the electrical repair. Josh was great and very knowledgable. There was no attempt at as high pressure sale, just professional and competant.

The inspection appointment went very well. It will be followed up with an estimate appointment and options. Very punctual, thorough and overall professional.

My project has not been started as yet. It will include the metal 40 ft. across the back, and 2ft. up of shingles, and then checking and replacing all around home. it was explained to me as well, that if there is more damage more may be required, and I will be consulted first.

Joseph did a fantastic job.. We have a cement tile roof with two skylights.. When the tile roof was installed, they cut corners and didn’t do the flashing properly, allowing water to seep under the tile and eventually causing dry rot under the eaves.. First of all, most roofing companies don’t work on tile roofs because of the fear of breaking the tiles when walked on... Guardian had no problem with tile..!! Joseph inspected the roof and pointed out additional, genuine problems ( not made up ones to jack up the price)... I now have no worries at all that our roof will protect the house properly, the way it was designed to do... Joseph was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of roof repair, and more importantly, it was obvious that he had a high quality work ethic and seemed to care that the roof have no issues as much as we do... I don’t think we’ll need Joseph again for some time, because of how thorough he was, but when we do, we will want Joseph with Guardian roofing...!!

Excellent. Straight forward. Provided be with many options. Since we were selling we didn't do additional repairs. Will definitely use them on my next house if repairs are needed.

I was contacted when the technician was on the way. He arrived on time and met my dog before getting started. They actually put up a guard so the ladder wouldn't scratch my painted gutters, and worked quickly to get the work done. Justin knew exactly what he was doing and the most impressive tool I have ever seen at a job. A broom, and he used it. I will use Guardian again. They cost a little more than others, but for that kind of service and peace of mind that they care about my home, it was worth it.

The job was a little long. But I believe it was because of the weather. It was worth the wait because my house looks 100% better now, and I can now rest assured that I have a warm house in the winter and cool in the summer.
