Guardian Roofing, Gutters & Insulation

We has used their services in the past. They completed the work over a period of a couple of weeks because we didn't know if we had found the leak. They cleaned up well after the work was complete. Everything went well and we are very satisfied with the work that they did.

Guardian Roofing did an excellent job blowing off the moss from our roof, clearing the gutters and repairing our loose shingles. Matt was prompt, professional and gave us a reason estimate to perform all the services we needed. When it comes time to actually replace the roof, they will definitely be on our shortlist of roofing companies.

i called guardian roofing to get our roof cleaned. the home inspector had said we were half way through the life of our roof and it was time for maintenance. pat kollar came over. very professional. inspected our roof, inspected the attic. inspected everything and took pictures. pictures do not lie. it was clear that we had black mould where the bathroom fans were not vented through the roof. we were never ever 'pitched'. pat was professional and went the extra mile to ensure quality service . the crew arrived on the day they said they would. louis, the foreman, was very knowledgeable and the crew was well mannered and did an excellent job. it was discovered and could only have been discovered when the shingles came off, that the eaves were rotted from the previously laid roof..... pat returned and we hammered out a plan to handle the new development and the crew continued without skipping a beat. when it was discovered the fascia was not wide enough to cover the rakes, doug came out and told us they were replacing them with cedar, primed and ready for when we painted. the service is exemplary, from beginning to aaron sending us cookies the other day. not only would i use them again, they are the only ones i will use. the people i met from guardian were professional, kind, eager to please, and made a stressful situation more pleasant. we were not planning to replace our entire roof, and all of the many moving parts we included. but everything was completed. and completed well. our roof looks fantastic, as do the gutters and now we know the guts of the roof are clean and mould/rot free.... pat, louis, doug.....aaron. you made this experience for us. and we thank you for it. re highland dennis crane the dogs.

Reroofing went well enough though no one working on the roof spoke english well, so questions were not understood well. Quite a bit different from their commercials. Roof began to leak shortly after and the attic began to build up heavy condensation. Upon calling them they did react quickly and put in new roof vents. This stopped the condensation issue however the guy putting in the vents cut wires to my kitchen lights. When informed they assured me they would fix it and after multiple assuraces they never did as i had to get it done myself. Our back part of the house began leaking and they did respond quickly on multiple ocassions with multiple people and multiple opinions. One person in this group actually did determine some issues. However to this day we still have their blue tarp over our bathroom sky light. Their sales guy told me "after the sale I am out so don't contact me" which should have gave me my cue. All in all probably not the worst but definitely not the best and probably typical of service you get from businesses today.

Overall, they didn't do too bad. Scheduling was quite a challenge. Even though they have a pretty good system, getting them out was tough. We had some bad weather, but we had rescheduled multiple times. When they missed something, getting them to come back out was tough. Their attention to detail on the repairs wasn't all that good - they kept missing places that needed to be repaired. It took months to get the treatment done. I probably won't renew my contract. I have gutter covers and some were knocked off when I had them clean the roof. I'd asked them to put them back on, and they didn't.

Let be start by saying that the inspector who came to my home was very professional and knowledgeable. Patrick Kollar spent at least an house at my home both on the roof, in the attic and explaining my options. I appreciate his time and professionalism. While Patrick was here, he said he needed to inspect the roof (neither of the other two companies that provided me bids needed to get on the roof or in the attic. The ladder that Patrick brought was not tall enough to get on the roof, so I helped him borrow my neighbors, much taller ladder. He was meticulous when doing the attic inspection being careful to not soil the clothes in our closet (where the attic access is location). While he was here Patrick said the roof could be repaired and he could get us another 5 years or it could be replaced. I asked him for a replacement bid as well and he told me he needed to go back to his computer, enter in the measurements he painstaking took of my house and would then "set up a time that we could meet" to discuss his estimate. The following week, playing phone tag I asked if he could just email me a copy of his estimate to which he agreed. I never saw a bid from Guardian Roofing. If that was my fault because I didn't schedule a meeting with Patrick to get a copy of the bid, I am sorry. I am not sure if that is a Guardian Policy or not but its kind of foolish to only give customers a bid if they meet with you fact to face after the inspection has been completed. As a side note, I received two other bids from other reputable companies. Company 1 faxed me the bid the very next day and asked me to call them if I have any questions, Company 2 completed the bid during the inspection and I had the estimate in front of me the same day and could ask the inspector questions while he was there (I used this company to replace my roof) and finally Company 3 (Guardian Roofing) has never mailed, faxed or given my any estimated cost to date.

What can I say besides.... WOW!!! It was raining and I had water running down my living room wall. They came out and put a tarp on the area and gave me a reasonably priced bid. They arrived on time, fixed the problem, cleaned up, AND they were professional and nice! I will definitely use them again.

It worked out very well. It was during a miserable time, it was raining but I was happy with their work. They did a good job. I like the young man that worked in the roof. They were courteous and tidy. They were a great group of guys. It's beautiful. It is a good company.

I had mixed emotions about them. I felt that they were arrogant. I think they served themselves and they know their product. I think they have good information. The way they spoke about another firm and the way they disagreed with my decision not to do something; it’s just that I didn’t come away with the thought that I really like to work with them. It’s not that I wouldn’t use them. It took me 2 days to get them out here. They were punctual. The part of the issue was with professionalism.

They did a great job and I was pleased with it. They came out, gave me an estimate then temporary fixed it. Then came out after a week or so, fixed it and have it all done.

It took a couple of a attempts to actually find these leaks but once they were found they did an excellent job. What I love about them is their customer service and their willingness to do right by the customer. They are going to be the first roofing company I call when it's time to actually replace this roof.

They were excellent and really good at clean up. They were very professional. The foreman's name was Eric and he was so likeable without too much of that, just very professional and able to talk to you really easy and ask questions and let you know you can ask questions. I could tell he had no problems with the crew he had. They all listened to him very well. The best thing, the most beautiful thing was the clean up. They did a thorough job. Every single time they quit working they would be very meticulous. They weren't the cheapest, we found several that were cheaper but I thought, when that isn't your business you kind of need to know what they are going to do because they have to upgrade these old homes a little. There was a little more technicality than just looking at the outside and so the changes that they had to make. The sales person, on each job, there are different kinds of ways people handled that. This sales person was the most thorough. He didn't try to oversell or anything he was just thorough. His ability to explain it to us. My husband actually roofed the house years ago, but all those new things are things my husband wouldn't know anything about so we were able to get a better picture from this company than from any of the other ones. The competency that sounded like they had all the stuff in place a little better or explained it better to us the best was absolutely the best with this company. They did everything exactly what they said they would do.

Looked like a new roof once they were done. Very pleased with the outcome.

At first it didn't look good but they came back to fix it. At the beginning they should have sent someone with more experience. The price was good. They were very cooperative in rescheduling. I would recommend them because they follow up. They stand by their guarantee.

Very professional and very friendly and responsive. Just a few things didn't go smoothly, but when we called with our concerns, they were addressed immediately and taken care of. Overall a good experience, but would have liked a little more care taken with the clean up. We found nails in the yard, and they forgot to put in a vent and had to come back to put that in.

My roof was leaking so I contacted several providers and Guardian appeared to complete the most thorough inspection. They were not the least expensive, but the salesperson and staff came across as knowledgeable and professional. The problems began with scheduling. I contacted them in early August, it took until late September for them to start work, they delayed a couple of times. In between we had several hard rains that resulted in more damage from leaking. Communication about timelines was poor. No one called to let me that materials would be dropped off in advance for the roofing crew. Their truck got stuck in my driveway, that's how I found out about the materials delivery. The work was delayed twice from the original date. The materials, including the plywood to underlay the shingles, were soaked in a hard rain. Several of the plywood planks bowed. (I asked them not to use those boards, they complied.) The first day, of the three days it took to complete the job, seemed to go well. But, it turned out the wrong color was delivered for the shingles. so that delayed things, again. On the last day of work they tried to get everything done, they stayed past 8PM, to the annoyance of my neighbors (without letting us know that they were going to do so). They basically trashed my yard. They trampled plants, one of the workers leaned something against my front fence and spray painted whatever it was, leaving the outline of the object. A stone lantern in my back yard had been knocked over. They left trash in our recycling bins. They left exposed wood on the side of my garage and along the back edge of the roof. And did poor repair when I pointed it out. The vents installed along the roofline were not inserted evenly. My tarp disappeared, they took it when they left probably thinking it was theirs. Last but not least, one of the workers but his foot through my kitchen ceiling. They sent someone to plaster the ceiling, but the repair did not match the rest of the ceiling and while a good repair, looks out of place. It took them two weeks to come back and fix the problems they caused and I received no compensation for the plants they killed, the tarp they took and I have to repaint my ceiling out of my own pocket. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. I also found debris from the installation of the vents in the storage loft of my garage and covering the new insulation in my attic.

The good: Professional, extremely easy to work with, did insanely high quality work. We used a different company before them and had to kick them off our roof and send them home 30 minutes in when water started pouring through our attic into the top floor of our house. Guardian came, checked out the roof, informed us why the other company was so bad and told us what they'd do to make sure that didn't happen again. Not only did we have no leaks, the roof came out looking brand new, multiple neighbors have stopped by since the work was done to complement our new roof - which is 10 years old and just looks brand new due to how well it was cleaned. A+ to Guardian. The bad: After the initial bid, I was promised a call back the next day. 3 days later I called the main office after not hearing anything and they said they'd get back to me. 4 days after that I called again and finally we got a confirmation and put our deposit down. They scheduled an initial week, then 1 day before that week called us and said they're running a week late, they then called again and pushed us back 3 more weeks. When the day of work came, they showed up an hour late. Not the best at time estimation or communication, but the quality of work more than makes up for this, you just need to stay on top of them a bit cause they aren't great at managing their own communication. Would absolutely use again.

They came out quickly the first day, on an emergency basis. He checked the roof and found out why it was leaking. Since it was late in the day, he was not able to do the repair that day, so he affixed a tarp over the problem area. Unfortunately, the tarp was not tacked down, so when we got a lot of rain the next couple days, the tarp blew off and started leaking into the living room again, and this time 2 more spots in the area were leaking. We called again and they came back out to fix the tarp. Again, we had some really bad weather, including some very strong winds which again forced the tarp to partially come off the roof. The next time they came out, they attached some wood to the roof and then nailed to tarp down to it. It held this time. Due to some heavy rains over the next week or so, they were not able to repair the roof right away. About 2 wks after the initial problem on the first dry day, they finally came out and did the necessary repairs. The work was done well and fairly quickly once the weather began to cooperate with the, So, except for the issues with the tarp, which should have been better secured the first time out, we were pleased with the work that was done.

The job took longer than I was led to believe it would take. I was not expecting it to take a week. I am happy with the finished product. The price was comparable to other bids I received but I chose Guardian because I was more confident in the information they gathered to develop the bid. They also did a better job making sure the ventilation would be adequate to avoid moisture problems in the future. They were the only company to provide a bid that actually took the time to get on the old roof and see what was there and assess the current condition. They took pictures of the roof so I could see what they were seeing such as broken and missing shakes.

The first repairman to come out seemed like he was prepared and ready to perform the work. well, that was not the case. After the "repair" was "completed", I contacted Guardian and reported my unhappiness with the work. Jake promptly addressed my concerns and was able to reschedule a true professional to take care care of the issue. It didn't take very long before the work I had requested was complete. Not the best experience with a repair vendor, but the response to my dissatisfaction was promptly addressed and I will give them another chance. The final product was what I expected.

It went very well. Took two days. I was there the first day to greet them and provide power and again at the end of the last day to watch them finish up. The second day it was pouring down rain so they were sopping wet but they got it done. It looks great. The gutters were installed a couple of weeks later and they seem to be working fine, too.

We found them to be very punctual as well as professional. They would always communicate when they arrived at our home as well as at the end of the day to inform us of their progress. They removed all debris removed from the roof as well as cleaning the areas where the debris landed. When after the cleaning and roof repairs we had some continued leaking, they came out that same day to remedy the situation. They definitely guarantee there work, as we didn't receive any additional billing for additional tiles replacements after the continued leaking.

This provider advertisers heavily about how they're ready and able to help you either repair or replace your roof. So I called for an estimate. I let slip that I was asking about my rental house. The representative I was speaking with stated "we don't work on rental houses". Thinking that perhaps he thought I was talking about a commercial apartment building I said, oh no, it's just a small single family home. He reiterated that they do not work on rentals. Period. No reason given. Um, what the heck? What difference does it make?

removal and installation went great.Their inspection was done, but follow-up has not been completed.
