"Hello, I apologize for your most recent experience. It is obvious that our estimator did a very poor job explaining how these systems work. Walking decks are twice as likely to leak as regular roofing systems. This is due to roofers trying to install them like a roofing system and not following the proper required installation methods. I fear that someone could be giving you incorrect information. If there is a door that is flush with your deck, it absolutely needs to be flashed properly which almost every time means it has to come out. I will be reaching out to you personally after I get the information from our estimator. Once again, I will be looking into this and determining how this breakdown in communication occurred. Both the estimator and the technician arrived on time and were very thorough. Both were very willing to answer questions. On the day of the work, I observed the whole job, and was impressed by the attention to detail and level of craftsmanship. Vulnerable corners were done carefully, and fitment and workmanship was meticulous. The replacement shingles are an exact match and look great. This job ran a little long, and it was dark when he finished. Nevertheless, at no point did I get the impression that he was in a hurry or cutting corners. The finished job looks very professional, and cleanup was thorough.
Since the job was completed, we've had a couple of hard rains and many daylong drizzles; I've inspected the underside of the roof at the chimney area at various intervals, and have seen no sign of leakage to date.
The only disappointment was the time required to get the job scheduled (2 months). However, I recognize that roof repair is very much in demand this time of year. My leak was under control and being mitigated in the short term, and the estimator made it clear that if it got worse or out of control, they could accelerate the schedule. Fortunately it didn't come to that.
Outstanding quality of workmanship and service, and I think the cost was quite reasonable for the amount of work involved. I have come to appreciate contractors that do exactly what they say they will do, and take pride in their work. I would absolutely recommend these folks.

He was totally unprepared. I expected some brochures, some recommendations... explanation of their type of work, references. I was ready to spend some time with this person, but his response was I have 4 other appointments and I don't have time to educate you on roofing or on what we do or what they would recommend." And he said he was sure they wouldn't be the lowest bid. I said I wasn't looking for lowest. But obviously, they didn't have time to talk to me today. Like a previous reviewer stated, they should fire their estimator.
"Thank you for the feedback. We welcome all feedback so we can improve our client experience. In fact, we have built our reputation on delivering not only high quality roof installations, but doing so in a manner that makes the experience as pleasant as having roof work done can be. Our company meets with thousands of people a year and physically works on over 1000 houses a year. This experience helps us know how to deliver satisfaction. After speaking with our estimator he reported that for some reason there was resistance from your part regarding allowing us to perform our standard inspection to identify the issues that need to be addressed. Most clients appreciate how thorough our inspections are so this was surprising. We do these inspections to make sure that we find all issues that could affect the proper design of the system or things that could affect the price to change once the job begins. Once we identify all of the issues then we can develop a plan for repair or replacement. Many people have the impression that a roof is a on-size-fits-all but it is not. There are many choices to make. Instead of determining those choices for the client, we have found that many people like the collaborative process of being educated so they can choose themselves. This is not a fit for everyone, but we have found that doing it this way results in the highest levels of satisfaction. The estimator reported that you were opposed to this meeting and wanted a price right then. And then instructed him not to bother and that you had already chosen someone. We apologize that our process was not what you desired, or if our estimator did not effectively communicate this, but please understand that our efforts are to make clients happy, not the opposite.
