Description of Work: They installed a 5 ton Lennox XP25 electric heat pump and backup unit. Their team was on time and worked hard a full day wrestling out the old dead 1970's system. Bud and his crew were not only concerned about getting the installation exactly right, Bud even realized that after they had the heat pump positioned on the pad it would be more aesthetic pleasing if they moved the big unit over 6 inches to hide it behind the porch. The next morning Bud and Larry came back to do the testing and final setup with us. The time it took to do the job was near exact to what their representative Jeff quoted. So we received friendly, professional and highly informative experience from the initial onsite inspection with Jeff to install and completion with Bud's team at a great price and on time. |And there's more, when they tested airflow at the vents in an old addition we were concerned with they found weak flow. Bud said that if we could find access to the cral space he would come back and repair any ducting that may have come apart or replace it if it's undersized. He really wants our system correct from input to output.

Description of Work: They worked with is to get a tech out ASAP and when the tech was held up at another job the owner came out to do the job himself. He took a lot of time educating my husband about the heating system. Great service!

Description of Work: Came quickly for initial estimate after we requested it. Had questions and person who had come out to do estimate did not have answer so he said he would find out and call. He did not call. After researching companies, equipment used, we chose Green City so same gentleman came back for final measurements, etc. His name is Merrill. Two days before install was scheduled to occur, we got a call learning Merrill had ordered wrong equipment size (heat pump/furnace) for our home and that install date would not work. Green City apologized and also covered the difference in cost as the equipment we needed was larger and more expensive and it was their employee's error - we appreciated that a lot. Install was postponed to a week later. Needless to say we did not deal with Merrill any more after learning he had ordered the wrong equipment after being here twice... Install went very smoothly. Guys were very professional and completed work in 2 business days and everything was running great and looked good. We also had a new duct put in to an extra room off our garage and they did a terrific job with that and everything looks great. They were polite and completely cleaned up after themselves. We would deal with Green City again, however not Merrill. Price was comparable with other quotes we had obtained - we went through PSE for rebate so had 3 companies to choose from. The B ratings directly relate to the first gentleman we had to deal with and not to the final result and equipment installed by Green City.

Description of Work: Very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He was actually early and was able to complete the job in about 45 minutes. I had a lot of questions about furnaces, since I have never had one before, and he took the time to answer them all and provide me with a better understanding how my heating system works. I will definitely call them again and highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Green City Heating serviced my gas insert fireplace. The day after they serviced the gas insert, we noticed piles of dust that looked like soot. The owner came out personally to check out the fireplace and said the dust would go away after awhile which it did. He did not charge for that visit which was nice. Very pleasant company to work with.

Description of Work: I had the furnace inspected after having it installed a couple of years ago. He helped me find a better way of replacing the filter and he adjusted some things that have made the system work better since. |I'm very happy with the visit.

Description of Work: nothing because, they just tuned it up in October and they suggested that tune up is once a year. The technician Larry Scherr was the one who explained to us on Jan 28th and they didn't charge anything.
