The process was painless from getting a bid (Rick) to completion. The techs (Tyler and Tim) did a good job replacing the furnace, and clean up the furnace room afterwards. The service manager (Alex) was also very responsive with my inquiries. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

The entire process went better than expected. I received the recommendation to use green city heating and Air from my Father. He recently had his furnace replaced by Rick & crew at Green City and was very happy with the product, pricing and service he received. He’s not an easy guy to make happy. I called Green City & a few other Lennox dealers for quotes & advice. This being my first furnace replacement I was careful to investigate all the dealers, thier pricing and products. In just days, I had 3 estimates for our future furnace. All the dealers were clean, very professional, patient & provided personalized estimates. However, Rick with Green City really stood out. His 20+ years of install experience, his honest and sincere approach to low pressure sales was especially welcomed. His overall knowledge of the products and installation procedures reassured me that not only had “we” chosen the right furnace at the right price for our home, it also met some very specific venting & filtration needs (noticed only by Rick with Green City) that I was unaware of. In fact, in just the last three weeks I’ve noticed some substantial health and breathing improvements. Not to mention while providing every discount possible, Rick also helped us to meet strict city codes also overlooked by other installers. The entire Green City staff was extremely professional & took the time to make sure they answered all of our questions related products and financing before we signed the agreement and as an added bonus made sure that we received every possible discount they could offer. Choosing not only a quality furnace but veteran professional installers makes more of a difference than I could have imagined. Nowadays, they do more than just blow warm air, they produce clean, evenly distributed, quality heat that one must feel to appreciate. Within a week of requesting the estimate, Green City had installed our new furnace & recycled the old, loud one we’d listened to for 15 years... “Good riddance”. We immediately enjoyed the amazing peace & quiet the new furnace provides, as well as obvious increases in comfort & efficiency, we also expect to see a significant reduction in heating costs. A quality furnace Is a good investment for any home. On a sidenote, there was one minor hick up the day after installation, the external condensation pump destroyed itself leaving us with no heat source. I called Rick, he came to our home “after business hours”, he knew a quick fix & got us running in less than an hour. The very next morning at 8 AM one of their installers showed up with a brand new pump and we have not had any trouble whatsoever since. We’re confident that this furnace will quietly do it’s job for the next 15 years.

Leaking/dripping exhaust pipe in furnace found and replaced ($187) but unfortunately not covered by warranty of another company which installed the furnace. Rest of tune-up and check ($315) went smoothly. Service provider showed me how to clean the filters of the ductless units.

It went very quick. Just quick check up and tune up and the mechanic left. Probably less than 15 min. I guess you get what you paid for.

I was impressed with Green City. They did a great job of contacting me prior to the technician coming to ensure the date/time was still okay. I also had to contact them regarding the additional repairs (motor and circuit board) which were separate trips. Jeff in their office was great to work with and really helpful given a very busy schedule for their techs and with lots of other appointments occurring. I'd also like to call out Robert the technician that worked on our furnace. I'm sure their other technicians are professional but Robert was the consummate professional. He was able to complete all the work, gave us some great tips and recommendations and very technically savvy. After his first visit for the maintenance, we specifically asked if he could return for the fixes for the motor and circuit board. He did fixed everything as planned and we have heat! :) I highly recommend Green City and highly recommend Robert if he's available.

Everything from the initial quote to the completion of the job went great. The meat of any review should be given in bullet points in my opinion, so here they are. - Honest about what unit and size of unit we would need to efficiently heat the second floor of our home. This was the biggest reason for choosing this company. Previous companies tried their hardest to sell us something we didnt need. - Very responsive and informative with any questions we had. - From the Owner who came out to give the quote down to the employees who did the install, everyone was on time, friendly, and very proffesional. - Made quick work of the install. They arrived at 8am and by 3:30pm the electrician and Green City crew were finished. Which meant warm bedrooms for our family by bedtime. - Quality of work was great. We have a heat pump and no extra holes in the wall to show for it! - Not cheap, but not expensive either. Especially when you consider everything listed above. - Thuroughly explained the use of the remote thermostat that comes with the unit. It's pretty easy to figure out, but still appreciated that they stuck around to do that. All in all a great experience with this company and I would highly reccomend them to anyone.

They were very honest and upfront with the scheduled work and their recommendations. I will use them again for some AC repairs in the spring.

On Monday we contacted Green City since they had done some repairs for us in the past. Even though they were really backed up with other emergency repairs they were able to get us an appointment for Thursday and put on the "hot list" if there was any available time before then. Skip to Thursday: Technician was on-time and very professional. He quickly determined that our problem was a minor issue of a clogged condensation drain pipe. He cleared the clog and then did a complete check-up. He really knew what he was doing. After a week of living in a cold (52 degree even with the fireplace) we are basking in a luxurious warm house. He did recommend that we watch our drain pump as it could be wearing out. We have replaced this part a couple times in the past on our own and appreciated the heads-up so we could order the part in advance of its failure. Our only regret is that we didn't call Green City first on Saturday! Highly recommend this company.

Very well. Arrived on time; seemed very knowledgeable about our furnace. I had some questions regarding the furnace and he answered everything to my satisfaction.

Everything went smooth and water heater/bathroom has been running well ever since we used them.

A bit complicated. I bought a discount on AngiesList for a new furnace and installation. They showed up and the furnace I bought on Angies List wasn't applicable to my location. (required high performance.) How was I to know? Was only for about a 1500 sq ft. area. No warning on the page. So the furnace I needed was going to be more than twice the price which was more than I was willing to pay. I was willing to pay more for a higher end furnace but not over double! Problem was, 30 days had passed, so Angies List wouldn't refund my $300+ deposit. Very poor policy on Angies List part. If I buy something on Angies List, and it doesn't get scheduled to be installed for 30 days, and it isn't until they show up that I'm told it won't work in my house, what's a customer to do? AL was quite firm that they wouldn't refund, but would credit for the same company/same work. But I wasn't about to pay 3K+ for the job. Anyways, decided to repair vs. replace the old furnace. Green City rescheduled, and did great work, at a fair price. (I think it was about $600 for a blower replacement) and then I got credited for the Angies List deposit. So huge hassle, but Green City was polite and professional even while we were instensely discussing the situation. I would use again.

Unfortunately, is was not possible to tune-up our 25 year old furnace as the heat exchanges was cracked. The tech showed me this right up front and explained the process and cost to replace the furnace.

Great. The Green City engineer saw that the door switch on the furnace was not working, do he bypassed it temporarily; he also determined that the induction motor needed to be replaced. The part was ordered, he came back 4 days later to complete the job.

He showed up on time, was friendly, explained the work he was going to perform, did the work, didn't try to "up charge" on services I didn't need, made suggestions for when the next service should be performed, then left.

Employee that showed up was rude. He made us aware of how inconvenienced he was that he had to be there.

The inspection was thorough and Green City did a wonderful job!

The technician arrived promptly but arrived without a replacement filter. Told me I had the most common filter 16x20x1, but he didn't have this filter, say what? After I handed him my filter, he told me I could use an alternative 20x20x1 filter, but he didn't check if he had one in stock. I left what seemed about 10 minutes and he told me he was all done. I asked about the furnace and he said all good. Funny, I would presume one would have to turn on the furnace thermostat to make sure the furnace worked on a tune-up. RECOMMEND TECHNICIAN USE A CHECKLIST(much like the oil change places)AND GO THROUGH WHAT EXACTLY WAS DONE. Would I hire again? Yes but only because of the owner who did the tune-ups years ago and did a great job. Owner please train.

Very well. We were contacted promptly to set up the appointment, and the service technician was friendly and professional. He did a thorough inspection and also answered additional questions about our gas piping.
