Description of Work: The service representative came on time and cleaned our furnace as per our Angie's List offer. He was not able to replace the furnace filter due to its odd size. When he looked at our non functioning fireplace, he said that nothing could be done and that we would need an entire new insert. Couldn't even clean the glass. However, since then we had a fireplace repair company come out and look at our unit. Not only was it 100% serviceable but the glass came was squeaky cleaned! This saved us thousands of dollars! Will probably not use Green City again.

Description of Work: Service person left back door to house wide open. When another contractor arrived the morning after the service, back door wide open. Service person shut down furnace (necessary). He turned off the power to the furnace via the electrical panel (necessary). He turned the gas off at the furnace (necessary). He disconnected the wires from the motherboard to the furnace (not necessary). This also made it very difficult to figure out what is wrong with the furnace when the service person DOES NOT LEAVE A NOTE THAT SAYS WHAT EXACTLY HE DID TO THE FURNACE. After the furnace was found to have a crack that made it necessary to shut it down, we did not receive a phone call. We had to show up the next morning to an estimate of a furnace replacement. Very strange experience with this provider. Will not use or recommend.

Description of Work: They came out when our furnace stopped making heat. Initially we hoped it was a clog or broken igniter. Unfortunately we had a crack in our secondary heat exchange, and the furnace needed to be replaced. They helped us set up financing, and had us up and running within 48 hours. They were very kind and courteous throughout the entire process.

Description of Work: My furnace was cleaned and I got advice on how to use the filters in a different place and more conveniently, also using just one, rather than two.

Description of Work: We needed a new gas-powered console heater to replace the very old unit in our house when it began leaking carbon monoxide. Green City gave us good information on two different replacement options, and were timely and punctual in their installation of the unit we selected. The only downside was that they had a scheduling issue with their long extension ladder, so they had to return a week later to complete the chimney liner installation. However, that visit was also punctual and prompt. We felt like we had a good experience and would use Green City again for future heating needs.

Description of Work: Our Lennox XC-14-30 was cosmetically damaged due to installer using the unit as a tool bench. | |I complained to the owner. | |I told him I purchased brand new and expected him to make good on the deal. | |He sent someone to touch up the top shroud. | |I sent them away. | |Numerous phone calls and text messages exchanged and false promises. | |A worker with a conscious shows up with an alleged "new shroud". | |It was obviously used and repainted. | |I called to voice my additional concern. | |Another promise broken ensuring me that we would receive a brand new top shroud. | |Worker shows up again, same repainted shroud. | |So then we find the coolant return line rubber insulation damaged throughout the attic run. | |This took a couple of weeks to finally get fixed. The technician that was sent out was a good guy. | |We then found out our thermostat was misfires. No auto fan. | |Same fellow offered to make this right all the while apologizing for everything we experienced. | |This last technician made up for all the negatives we were subjected to. | |I have pictures and texts to prove everything I claim.
