I called they came within a few days. They were courteous and quick. I love my renewed heat. The price was great.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them. It went well. They did the tune up in the first visit and just charged me the Big Deal price, but in the process they told I need to get a new furnace. They were really expensive so I found somebody else to do it for me. I don’t have anything much to say.

Scheduling and communication was easy. Jeff arrived as scheduled. While inspecting my 25ish year old furnace, he found some rust on the heat exchanger, leading to his recommendation that the furnace be replaced. He gave me a bid for a pretty low priced furnace and suggested I schedule an installation pretty quickly. I appreciate that he answered my questions well, but his bid was not very detailed and didn't go over options for other than the most basic model furnace. After seeking out several other bids, I opted to have the replacement done by a different company.

Jeff arrived on time and within the schedule window. He was polite and professional. He explained what he would be doing and then got to work. He showed me the live feed of the scope placed inside the furnace and explained what he was seeing. No unnecessary work done and very helpful. Will use their service in the future.

They arrived on time and completed the services. One of the furnaces had problems and needed to be replaced. They quoted me a fair price and were able to install within 1 week, luckily before some very cold weather. Everything was completed satisfacorily-- They came back to adjust the blower because of noise. I was very happy with their work, professionalism and price.

The inspector was courteous, punctual and and wasted no time. Before leaving, he also advised me of other services Green City offered in regards to making our heating system more efficient and, in the long-run, more economical for us. His approach was not a hard-sell at all. It was good to be informed of all of the possibilities. I would call them again for any of the improvements he suggested.

I bought the furnace servicing package on Angie's List. Jeff showed up to service it. He performed the service and explained its current condition. The old furnace was the original builders special for the house which we pretty much knew. However we didn't understand fully what condition it was in. The furnace started at about 80% efficiency when it was installed in 1996. Jeff showed me where there was rust in the heat exchangers and was probably running at about 70-75% efficiency at its age. He also pointed out that the furnace was under powered for the size of our house. It was a 45,000 BTU furnace for a 1850 SF house. Jeff mentioned that the furnace probably runs a lot since it's under powered and I realized that he was correct, it ran a lot. He wasn't pushy at all and was just explaining what his assessment was. He also stated that we could get by with the old furnace for a while but at some point the heat exchanger could start to fail and let carbon monoxide in the house. I asked what our options were for a new furnace and he explain the 80% and 95% efficiency gas furnace options. My wife and I considered all the information that we had and did some of our own research and decided to replace the furnace with a 95% efficiency option. I should also mention that we are energy conscious and thought that the 95% efficient furnace was the right thing to do. I scheduled the furnace to be replaced a few days after we had it serviced. On the day of the furnace replacement, Bud and Eric showed up on time and ready to go. They got started right away and and let us know that the heat would be off for a while of course and the gas would be as well since they need to change the gas plumbing around the furnace. The installation went smoothly and was completed in good time. Bud explained the new furnace to me and explained some other detail about our heating system. They cleaned up well when all done.They also left us paperwork to get a rebate from PSE. The new furnace is great. It heats up the house quickly and doesn't run all the time. The house feels warmer too since its less drafty now. When the old one ran all the time, it was constantly circulating the air in the house and thus making it a bit drafty.

I had two bids on replacement of our gas furnace. The cost from both was close. My reason for going with GreenCity was that when I asked Rodney if they would do a heating equipment sizing assessment and that I wanted the work to be done with a permit, he did not hesitated and said (no problem). Rodney came to the house, walked through all the rooms and asked about the insulation, types of windows. He then told us what size furnace was needed. I thought of going with a 95% efficient unit, but because of the ductwork around the furnace it would be difficult and costly to install. He suggested an 80% unit instead, and a filter which needs to be changed only once a year. He seemed to be very knowledgeably of heating equipment. Bud and his helper Eric were the installers. They showed upon time and got right to work. After removing the old furnace, Bud found the flue at the bottom was clogged with soot from the original oil furnace, which he cleaned up. While installing the 5? stainless liner they ran into a problem. The design of the chimney has two sharp bends close to each other and would not allow the liner to be installed. He talked with the inspector about an acceptation to the use of the liner, which the inspector agreed with. Bud seemed to know the codes as well as the inspector. Bud and Eric worked late to make sure that the job was finished, cleaned up. The furnace is working great, and the ducts no longer blow lukewarm air. Highly recommend them.

I bought a "big deal", so the price was great and scheduling was easy. The technician was punctual and polite. I've never had my furnace serviced before, so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of the actual service. The furnace still works and he didn't try to upsell me anything, so I am considering it a job well done. The only issue was that he didn't have a replacement filter that fit my furnace. I don't know if that is usually included in the tune-up, so I am not sure if it was a problem with the service or not. My furnace takes pretty expensive filters, though, so I would have never expected a replacement until it was mentioned by the technician. Plus, he was very apologetic about it, so I'm happy to give them a high grade.

Our furnace started acting up on 12/6/13. Water was leaking out from the inside of the unit and the area around the exhaust (outside the house) smelled like gas or rotten eggs -- tell-tale signs of a broken secondary heat exchanger. Apparently, this is a known issue with our model of furnace (Payne), not to mention it was 20+ years old. We'd been warned about it when we bought our house last summer. I left a message for Green City on a Sunday morning and was given a call back by Jeff later than day. Rodney stopped by Monday morning to give me a quote, and he arrived right on time. His quote was significantly lower (approx. $1200) that the other quote I received, and he was able to arrange installation for the following day. The other company I'd called couldn't schedule an install until 10+ days later, so this was great news to me. Rodney was great about explaining why we might want certain options (extra-thick filter, upgraded unit, etc.), but also why we wouldn't need them (we have a small house, no allergies, no pets, and no existing dust problems). I called him back later that day to add a new heat register to the quote, too, as we had a room that needed more heat. He was able to add that in, no problem. On Tuesday, Eric, Tim and Robert showed up and installed the new unit, along with the register. They were running a bit behind schedule, but assured me that they would get the work done no matter how late they had to stay, and they were true to their word. They were careful about cutting through the floor to get the new register in, and the unit itself is working perfectly so far. They also dropped off the paperwork for a $250 rebate from PSE, which I certainly appreciate. All told, I was extremely happy to have this job quoted, scheduled, and installed in the span of around 48 hours, particularly in the middle of a completely abnormal, sub-freezing time in Seattle. Jeff from Green City even called me later that night to see how I'd felt about the installation. Replacing your furnace is expensive and a total pain, but I'm glad we found Green City and were able to get it done quickly and at a reasonable price.

He was friendly, prompt, knowledgable, and did everything required. This was a straightforward tune and cleaning, and did not require any additional work

Green City did a great job. They called to schedule the service, gave me several options for dates, and scheduled a time that I wanted. They gave me a 2 hour window on the date I wanted, called that day to give me an ETA and arrived at the time given. They did a through job, didn't pressure me for any additional work, and provided a good assessment of the condition of my furnace. This was a great deal, and II would highly recommend them to anyone.

Purchased Angies deal for 24 point inspection / tune-up. He cleaned out the furnace with a vacuum/blower, checked the furnace, and installed an air filter that I had already purchased.

Got the annual service for my furnace. Bought the Angie's List deal. Very prompt, professional and thorough. I will call them again in the summer for my AC

Their phone and email communication was very responsive and friendly. However, when it comes to the service, I found their professionalism still leaves a lot to be desired - the technician forgot to change the filter, which is included in the package, and to screw back the door of our furnace. After complaining to them, the company owner offered to refund us and did so one month later.

They were very nice and answered all of my questions. I simply bought the "Big Deal" without completing my homework. Additional items were needed to make the project work, and I hadn't budgeted for them. We are still having Green City work on another, smaller project.

Cleaned furnace and corrected a few existing problems

Update: This turned out to be a contractual issue, and Green City agreed that they had made an error unknowingly on the original contract. Jeff apologized to me for the error and was gracious to offer different options of how to proceed. We agreed Green City would refund my money in exchange for the return of the gas furnace that they had installed (which we did). I appreciated Green City honored the original contract and made it right for me. ====== Original installation in November 2013 was for a Lennox 95% efficiency 2-stage variable speed gas furnace per a written proposal from Green City Heating on 10-29-13. We were not happy with the installation, and there were many complications getting it installed. The furnace was loud, non-efficient and our heating bills did not reduce over the past winter. After 9 months, the air filter that was installed, did not capture any dust since the original installation We learned this week, that a Lennox furnace was not installed - but instead a generic 1 stage furnace with questionable venting in the roof. In addition, we learned that the Lennox HC10 Filtration system was not in place that we had ordered. So - we never got what the original proposal was for and instead, we received a generic low end furnace. In addition, we did discovered that "permanent" permit that we had requested, was instead only valid for one year. The furnace this vendor installed will now have to be ripped out, corrected and reinstalled with a quality furnace at a huge expense. I have personally tried to contact the owner of this vendor three times this week to work through this problem, and he has not called me back. I have no choice but to downgrade the rating for this vendor.

It worked out fine. They did really good. There were no extra charges and that was a good deal. He explained everything good and I think he had a lot of experience in the field.

Did walkthrough prior to make sure they had correct parts, etc.. Did all work in a timely and professional manner. Prices were reasonable. Followed up to make sure everything was working well.
