Green City Heating and Air Conditioning

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went very well. The technician told us our heating system was in good condition, which was good news. He showed up on time and did not have to do anything, but it was very reassuring to know that it had been checked. I was not present, but my husband was and he said the guy was very pleasant and expressed amazement that the system was in as good shape as it was for its age. He was very nice, did his thing and went away. The Big Deal price was excellent. He got back with me the day after I purchased the deal and scheduled within a week.

Jeff was easy to work with. He showed up on time and answered all of our questions. He was informative & patient. He's pricing is competitive and reasonable. I would certainly recommend Green City to anyone as well as continue to use them for future needs.

Even though our type of heating system (hot water radiators) wasn't covered by the Angie's Deal offer that I purchased, the serviceman did a thorough maintenance check at no extra charge and discussed options for improving heat delivery to one of the bedrooms that it always cold.

It tuned out really good and he was wonderful. The technician Tim was wonderful and answered all my questions. I didn’t have any problems with anything. He got the job done in about an hour. The scheduling was really quick and it was all setup within a couple of days.

Overall, it was good value for the money. Will use them again if they offer a competitive price.

The guy that came out, Jeff, was great. I actually purchased 2 of them because I had an air conditioner, too. But he couldn’t do the AC at the time because the weather was too cold. He was going to ask the girl to give me a refund which I haven’t seen but I would prefer to just have them come out when the weather gets warm but whichever they want to do is fine with me. I just never heard from them. It was an excellent experience. The guy was very nice and very informative. I was out there with him and he was telling me what I could do myself. I think they were great. The price was great.

It turned out really well except for they have never given me the warranty. I keep asking them for it several times. I need to get it sent in asap. I need the warranty as well. It will cover the system for 10 years instead of five. I paid a lot for it and I want the warranty. They have been relatively responsive except for the warranty. They were polite and I would use them again.

We called Green City late on a Thursday night when out heating system failed. We had some problems with the digital thermostat and Jeff stayed on the phone with us for some time helping us try to get the system working so we didn't have to spend a cold night until we could have someone come out to look at the system the next morning. Ultimately we realized it wasn't just the thermostat but also a problem with the furnace itself. We really appreciated that Jeff spent the time talking us through the thermostat issues. They had someone out first thing Friday morning to look at the system. Ended up we needed a new ignition which they replaced right away. We also bought a new thermostat from them. They gave us several options which was appreciated as was the practical advice and no hard sales approach. We replaced the thermostat and he also looked at our filter at our request and noted that the prior owner had been using the wrong size filter. The appointment took a little over an hour and at $389 all in we thought was reasonably priced. We highly recommend Green City and will definitely call them again if we have heating or cooling needs.

They did a great job. The young man came out and took care of the job. I had some stuff that wasn't up to code on the furnace and he gave me an estimate on getting up it up to code. The first initial cleaning on the service was on time, the second time he came out they were running late. Because he was running late they took some off the price of the estimate originally given to me.

I very rarely give 5 star ratings but this company was great. They responded quickly to my initial request, was available in a few days (non emergency service), and the technician was right on time. I think his name is Tim. He explained what was going on with the furnace and showed me the problems. I felt like he was honest, knowledgeable, and professional. I was given a few options on what should be done but not with a high pressure sales pitch. I've requested an estimate to get a part fixed in addition to the Angie's List deal for the maintenance work. I have finally found a company to call for annual service calls and repairs along the way. That's something I haven't done in the past due to bad experiences with other companies. I really couldn't ask for anything more. Honest, reliable, fair prices, and they do great work!

They were on time, professional and most importantly, knew what they were doing. Everything went great and I would definitely would use them again.

He was right on time, and very friendly. He used a scope camera to show me areas of the furnace that are starting to wear thin, and this is not surprising, given how old our furnace is. He gave great advice about options for the future - no hard sell. Before he left, we both noticed the furnace doing something weird (turning on and off many times), and thought it might have to do with extra cold temp that day. After he left, I noticed it kept happening. After 30 minutes I was going to call him back, but he called me back first! He told me he thought he knew what was going on, came back right away, and fixed it. Furnace is running great now. Will definitely use this company again.

The service man was here on time (actually a little early) and went straight to the furnace area to start his inspection. My husband was there with him and said he checked everything on our furnace in a timely manner and was very easy to talk to and ask questions of.

I had good time with them working at our Church building and they are very friendly workers we liked them a lot but the project is still pending (we started this project with green city heating last year march so its almost a year passing.) I don't know what is the deal about this but they are very busy so they can not finish their job which they STARTED. They promised me to do 'walk-through' so that we know how to properly use heating system but no news. I feel bad about it and I am not sure what must we do at this point. Please do not leave your customers hanging anymore.

I noticed on a late weekend night that my 20 year old gas furnace was dripping water onto the floor. Green City had a 24 hour service line and their on-call person walked me through the issue. They determined it wasn't an emergency so they scheduled an appointment for regular business hours, saving us some money. It turned out to be an issue with the condensate line. They broke down our options - we could fix it or have it replaced. We decided to have it replaced as it was extremely old already. Their sales representative took his time and laid out all of our options. There was no pressure to upgrade and he actually talked us out of paying extra for some upgrades we thought we needed but would have been excessive/unnecessary. When he finished, I felt very informed and confident in my decision. We scheduled the replacement and paid half up front. The repair team was very friendly and considerate as well. They made sure to protect our floors and explain everything they were doing. When the repair team pulled out the old furnace, they realized the water damage from the condensate line was significant. Our subfloor under the furnace was barely holding together. They brought this to our attention right away rather than installing the new equipment over the top. We asked for a carpenter recommendation to fix the floors and they arranged to have one from an associated remodeling company come out right away. This delayed our heat pump installation but Green City provided us with several high quality space heaters at no charge while we were waiting for the repair. They also completed as much of the electrical and ducting work as they could on that first day so that they could quickly connect everything once the carpentry was done. They even noticed and pointed out an issue with our plumbing while they were working in the crawl space! Overall, a very thorough, friendly crew with a sharp eye for all sorts of home issues. We got an excellent new heating system at a reasonable cost and averted major structural and plumbing disasters, too.

The whole process went very smoothly. I first spoke with Jeff on Monday, and we had the furnace installation done that Friday. Jeff was able to give us a better price than Brennan Heating and Air, so we went with him. His installers showed up on time, were polite, and then he and an electrician came at the end of the day to finish the job and review the work with us. The only area of improvement I suggest for Green City is that when it comes to communication and appointments, Jeff is a bit of a one man show.. So if he is busy, you will have to wait for a call back. Green City could use a receptionist. Other than that, it's a top notch operation, and I recommend their work, Jeff's knowledge, and the price point.

they showed up on time, provided excellent troubleshooting service, were prompt and expressed urgency and got the job done on time as promised. i am very pleased with Green City Heating and AC and will definitely use them again in the future.

Jeff is very knowledgeable and nice to do business with. He has the latest technology that lets you see the heater inside. This is a small company that is proud in giving the best customer service at an affordable price. I would do business with them in the future and highly recommend them.

The technician arrivved on time, and went right to work. He was quick and informative. He did forhet to turn the furnace back on, and he installed the air filter backwards. I would still recommend the company because they were so responsive!

He gave us a very good price and we would have hired his company but we did have a friend contact us with almost the very same bid. After our high pressured sales from Washington Natural Gas, I took the time to research the types of furnaces. I believe Green City knows their stuff.
