Matt arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes, fixed it and made a recommendation that we have the system tuned up once every 6 months to avoid similar problems. He was very professional, straight forward and did not give us any song and dance--unlike so many contractors we have dealt with in the past who either try to hide their incompetence or propose ridiculous prices for simple work. We have worked with Matt many times before because of his excellent work, no-nonsense approach, reliability, fair pricing and business ethics. We will continue to call him for work on our home and recommend his company to anyone who needs an electrical contractor.

Showed up on time. Nice guy. Since I know nothing about how the furnace works,I can only assume he did everything required. Furnace works great.

An overall great experience. Tanya, in the office, was very polite and helpful in scheduling the maintenance services on both our furnace and AC. She called me 30 minutes before Dan, the technician, was due to arrive. Dan arrived on time and was very professional, personable and respectful. He got straight to work and seemed very knowledgeable when answering my various questions and concerns. The cost was very reasonable and he even left a spare filter as our one still had some life left in it. I am very pleased that I have found a reliable and honest company for my future HVAC needs and would highly recommend them.

I called on Tuesday for someone to come out to see if my heater could be fixed. It has been struggling along for about four years and I knew it was on it's last leg. They came out the same day. The repairs would cost me almost the same as replacing it. I decided to replace it. We discussed the options of furnaces. They took their time, gave me a very reasonable quote, and said they could install it on Friday. They were here at the appt. time, installed it, relit any and all pilot lights, cleaned up after themselves, and left. It went very well.

Fantastic experience! Discovered on the evening of 7/2 that my A/C unit wasn't pumping out cold air - had plans for a house full of guests for the 4th of July and was very concerned about the prospect of a 90+ degree house for the holiday. Called Allred at 8am Friday 7/3 (federal holiday remember); within one hour received a call back and a service technician was at my home by 10am!! Technician added 2 pounds of coolant and balanced the system to get us through the weekend, and diagnosed a failing part that needs to be replaced in the near future. The system has run great since, and I'm scheduling the remainder of the work. I couldn't be happier with the work, amazingly quick responsiveness of Allred, and the technical ability and great attitude of the technician. Thanks Allred for saving my party and keeping us cool!!!

The heat pump was not communicating properly with the thermostat. I'm not sure exactly what the technician did, but it required a new part and installation.

Professional and personable service. Did and great job and service person was on time and provided an estimate for future work we were interested in.

The contact with this provider was very successful. Matt was friendly and professional. He provided cost and details of call up front and listened to issues as they were detailed. He used experience and tools to check out the breakout box and circuit with problem. He identified the problem to a faulty fixture and corrected it in less than an hour. Very satisfied with this service provider and cost was worth service provided. Would use again if any other problems are encountered.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and they honored the deal. Their professionalism and clean up were excellent. Their quality of work was good. They were punctual and they got it done. I liked the guy. He was personable and professional.

Would definitely recommend. The technician was professional and courteous. During routine service the furnace checked out fine but the a/c had a part that they recommended replacing. Instead of pressuring us he politely and thoroughly explained why he recommended replacing the part, he showed us the reading and explained the long term consequence of not replacing the part. Thank you for your excellent customer service. We will continue to use your services.

The service turned out fine. We had it done right away. He took the time to show me how to clean our filters in the future, so I could do it my self. He showed me how to undo the front of the furnace, and told me where to buy them, and etc. He did a home tutorial for me. I would recommend him because he took the time to show me and explain everything, and he took the time to personalize the call. We had checked around, and the price was fine.

It went ok, but he was supposed to add a filter and never did. I didn't see him do the work, and I can't say I necessarily saw a difference. I didn't have any issues with scheduling or his arrival, though, and he was very professional.

Naturally my husband was out of town (actually, out of state!) when unexpectedly most?but not all?of our house lost power late in the afternoon of 28 March?a Friday, wouldn?t you know. Less than an hour prior to the loss of power, our permanent generator, which Matt Allred, co-owner of Allred Heating Cooling Electric, had installed a couple of years ago, had finished running through its weekly automatic exercise cycle. I had recently started a load of laundry through the dryer, our music sound system was on, the furnace was running, and I had started vacuuming, but, since it was still broad daylight I had no lights on and wasn?t using power anywhere else. Then over the course of several seconds the vacuum cleaner powered down, then off altogether, and I realized the dryer had stopped. The vacuum cleaner was still firmly plugged into the outlet, so I unplugged it and then headed out to the garage to check the circuit breaker box. I discovered multiple circuits tripped (but in no particular pattern), so I reset them all, reset all the others for good measure, then checked the generator?s circuit breaker box and determined that all of its circuit breakers were in their proper position. However, after resetting all the circuit breaker switches in the main box, the only power in the house that appeared to be operational was the power to our living room lights. After performing various checks suggested by my husband over the phone, checks by a friend who graciously came over (and conferred by phone with Matt while trouble-shooting), all of which turned up no clues as to the source of the problem and no resolution to it, Matt suggested to my friend that we call the power company, thinking that perhaps full power wasn?t coming to the house. The power company reps responded in a timely fashion and were professional and very pleasant but weren?t able to determine the source of the problem either. It turned out that full power was, in fact, coming to the house, so they suggested I consult with our electrician. By that time it had to have been close to 9 PM, but I called Matt, who, to my relief, answered immediately. I updated him on the situation, and he replied that he?d come out early the next morning, which he did. He determined that a wire (which I think he called a contactor) associated with the generator had vibrated loose over the course of time to the point that when the generator shut off, only partial power was being restored to the house. He immediately tightened the wire, which solved the problem. I so appreciate Matt?s expertise, his willingness to come to my rescue with little notice and on a Saturday morning (in pouring rain, to boot), and his unfailing good cheer. And when I asked him what I owed him, he said there would be no charge. Wow.... Matt & his twin brother, Dan, have done several electrical jobs for us, did great work, and charged us reasonable prices. We trust them implicitly?they?re our ?go to? electricians! This most recent experience only reinforced our appreciation for their excellent service.

When I arrived home from work I found that my furnace had stopped working and my house was very cold. It was after 5pm, so after a very chilly night, I called Allred the following day. I was at work when I called, and Tanya in the office at Allred was so accommodating in working with me to let me know when the technician was on his way to my house so that I could run home to meet him. The heating technician was courteous and professional. He diagnosed and repaired my furnace and now it's running like new. I was very impressed with Allred from start to finish, and will definitely call them again for my yearly inspections and repairs.

Our heater broke down during a weekend (Saturday) when it was snowing outside. That evening we could not contact any provider to come over. On Sunday, I contacted All Red. They sent a technician over (Dan) within a few hours. Unfortunately, when the technician showed up, the heater started working. So nothing much to do. However, the heater broke down again in a couple of days, and when I called in, the technician showed up again within a day. After about an hour and-a-half of diagnostics, he found the faulty part and replaced it. The technician as well as the office staff were very professional and courteous. I will surely recommend Allred and would myself have services performed by them.

We wanted a third opinion on a new gas furnace installation and when I called Matt, he kindly agreed to come by the next day - it was at the end of a long day for him so we appreciated him taking the extra time to see us right away. He was willing to work with us on the price to match a lower offer and got the installation done within a week. He was a really nice guy - easy going, upfront, knowledgable. He even talked us out of purchasing a more expensive furnace he felt was more than what we needed for our small house. The only very minor negative was a small hole in our kitchen wall that was created when Matt moved the furnace in. It was a small space to get it into though, we don't believe it was done out of carelessness. Sure, it would have been great if he had noticed and offered to fix it then but we didn't notice it until later either. We didn't want to bother him to come back out just for that small thing, so we plan to fix it ourselves.

It went fine. They did a good job. They seemed very knowledgeable.

.I bought a "deal" for the furnace to be inspected/cleaned /serviced as well as the hot water heater. "Dutch" called ahead on the morning he was due to come over to let me know he was "on the way" and showed up on time. He introduced himself, told me what he was going to do, and invited to to pull up a chair, watch what he was doing, and ask any questions I wanted. I am not a technician, but "Dutch' sure seemed to be thorough in his job. He took out a bunch of parts, cleaned them, did electrical tests, and "ran the system" to make sure that it was working fine. He inspected the furnace filter, and told me that the furnace was in excellent shape. He also inspected,cleaned the hot water heater and drained the tank.....and told me that the hot water heater was in great shape. He explained what he was doing, told me what the parts were, and what they were for.....and he told me the implications of the specific parts "not working." Just a SUPER guy. Very nice, great personality, and it seems as if he has over 30 years of experience........so I was EXTREMELY happy with the service "Dutch" provided.

Fantastic service. Small business but ran like a large, well-ran company with incredibly professional and responsive service. They really have it together. So refreshing because I tried going the Groupon route with another company first and let's just say - you get what you pay for. Allred is also a value, too. I have seen other companies charge more for comparable services. They were so easy to get a hold of, very accommodating, friendly and the work was done in a professional manner. Very knowledgeable technicians. They made honest recommendations and this is my third time using them at 3 different properties in 2 months (I'm a Realtor). I would highly recommend!

Went fine. Nice guy, thorough inspection.

My heater was having trouble in the cold. It would turn on and off. Sometimes it would run for an hour, other times only 5 minutes. I had scheduled an appointment (twice) for same day service. They were available, and were able to look at my furnace the same day, which I really appreciate given the cold weather. The reason for the rescheduling is that the first day it looked like my furnace had decided to work, so I cancelled my appointment. Low and behold, furnace started acting up again, so I called back the next day, and had them come out. They quickly discovered the problem... some tube that takes exhaust to some sort of sensor had condensation it, due to the cold. They cleaned it out, and heater started working. They charged me just a few dollars over the cost of the service call, and also showed me how to take care of the problem myself if it happens again. I rated a "B" for cost, because a very simple thing cost me $107. But I am very happy with the service.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was good. We had to pay more as we had couple more vents. The service was done as expected.

Coupon covered a furnace cleaning and inspection. |Dan from Allred arrived precisely on time and got started right away, not requiring more than a minute of my time. He was very friendly and showed me where the electronic cleaners and filters were for future reference if I ever wanted to clean them myself. |He didn't try to upsell me on anything and did a very thorough inspection of my system. He was very helpful when I asked about air conditioning possibilities and generators for keeping the furnace going in a power outage. I'm sure he had other appointments scheduled that day but you'd never know it. He took as much time as I needed to answer my questions. | |I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again same time next year to inspect my furnace.
