How Allred Got Started Our company was founded by Dan and Matt who discovered they had complimentary areas of expertise. Matt began as an electrician about a decade ago and besides doing electrical work began working with HVAC as well. Dan had been doing contractor work in Alaska and when they met they realized they were a perfect match to begin a business, hence Allred Heating, and Cooling and Electrical. Between the two of them all of the right bases were covered to offer complete electrical and HVAC systems, both installation and repair. It was easy buying the service but clearly, they weren't going to call. I needed to schedule the appointment and after, it was smooth sailing.
Description of Work: Nick checked my HAVC / Heat pump and gave me advice on making it last. Also showed me how things worked and gave me an idea on what to do in the future.

It went well. I would say it fulfilled my expectations and I would give it an A. There were here actually early, but they called to confirm. They met my expectations, they showed up, they showed up on time, they provided the service that they said they would, and their price was what I expected. This was the first time I had ever used them.
Description of Work: This was an Angie's List Big Deal for $39.00 for a furnace or air conditioning tune-up. They did a furnace check-up on this visit.

Incorrect diagnostics that cost homeowners tons of hassles and energy.
Description of Work: Very disappointed with their services. They tried to sell me NEW unit than help me fix the AC. They didn't test my AC but concluded that my AC compressor was broken and I needed to replace the compressor for $2K or buy a New AC. The other company has saved me $$$ thousands of dollars by fixing it for $150. Allred won't stand behind their service and Becky the person on the phone is even worse. Always seek for 2nd opinion if they tell you to do anything.

We were not told that their unit wasn't working. We sent our guy out that does tune ups of working equipment. I feel that this is a bit harsh considering we went out of our way to go out of our area, for a groupon coupon. Our groupon states "within 20 miles of federal way" Our Technician was trying to help. He may have not made the exact diagnostic, but he told them the compressor is not working and the unit is older and they should consider replacing. We would have been happy to send a diagnostic technician out for the standard diagnostic price. The groupon was for a standard tune up of a furnace and Air conditioner, which they spent $95 for on groupon. We didn't even charge anything above and beyond that. We checked the AC and could not perform the tune up because it was not running. Some people we just cannot please. I am sorry for how this turned out.

Zach came out and was very professional. He worked efficiently and verified the optimal functionality of my furnace. He seemed to pay good attention to detail based on his report of what he checked. He also successfully flushed my water heater which had some sediment build up and reported on the condition of the elements and water heater.

Everything went quite well from the initial call through completion. I would definately call again if service is required.

I was very impressed by the working skill the technician used in performing his work. He explained why the capacitor needed to be replace because the reading was out of range. I was happy to have him replaced it.

Failed to respond to schedule work.
Description of Work: Bought 3 weeks ago and sent 2 emails to try and schedule them to come out and they failed to respond. Other providers contact me the same day or next business day to schedule and I have no responses from this company. Will be asking for a return. Only have so much time in the day to chase down providers that fail to respond let alone reach out the customer without any inquiry initiated from the customer.

We signed up with angies list to market it to specifically south king county and pierce county. This is something that we talked and agreed with angies list to do. We did Respond to the email. We prefer customers to call us to set up the appointment as sometimes emails can slip throught the cracks. They told us that we can tell people that buy it out of the area that they can call Angies List to get a refund or that they would find another company to honor the price. It is very hard to honor the price if it is out of our immediate area. I even shared concerns to our rep at angies list about this very sitiuation. I am sorry that it didn't work out for you.

the service went well. I'm impressed with how much time and energy was put towards the service. I was thinking that since it was a "special" price that I would get a quick inspection with little to no work actually performed, but I was wrong. I have their business card, and I will definitely call them if I need work performed on the furnace in the future.

This whole experience went smooth from start to finish. Work was done well, price was right, they were very courteous. Highly recommend. The service was some time ago - This reminds me - I need to call them for a routine cleaning!

It went very well. The technician, Zac, was very professional and I have confidence in the work he completed. I feel the prices charged may have been a bit on the high side, but I also feel like the it's top-quality work, so I was willing to pay a little more. Also, honest work, as Zac told me I didn't needed to replace a faulty capacitor (which I had previously expected needed replacing), as it was not required with the new blower motor replacement.
