 + 2 moreNorthwest Quality Gutters gave us a bid for the rebuilding of our deck. In the process, we asked about some design changes, and were told we'd be "taken care of" and not to worry because they wouldn't cost THAT much extra from the original bid. At one point, Waylon Caldwell, the owner, told us it would be a few hunder dollars more for one of the changes we asked about. We trusted him to let us know if the changes were going to cost mroe, as he promised he would do so. In the end, we were charged $8600 for the deck, when the original estimate was for $3500. He did not communicate with us, would not work with us on a payment plan, and was extremely disrepectful to us as homeowners. He failed to work with us and disappeared for months, then filed a lein against our property out of the blue. I did not once tell him I wouldn't pay, just that it would take us time to pay him off, since he spent money that wasn't his to spend and money that we didn't have saved for this project. I will never have Northwest Quality Gutters complete any work for us again. His work was satisfactory but I felt abused and taken advantage of.
Description of Work: Northwest Quality Gutters gave us a bid for rebuilding our deck that included all materials, with the exception of the stairs, which he didn't know how to build and wanted to do as "time and materials". In the process, several changes were made to the scope of the job, but Waylon Caldwell (owner) would not give us a change order amount and only promised to "take care of us" and that the changes would only be a few hundred dollars more.
