Description of Work: They rebuilt our porch. The previous builder had simply attached the porch to the siding of the house and hadn't properly seated the porch either; it was sitting on bare dirt on 3 of the 4 posts. | |The first point to their credit was they actually showed up. I had made appointments with a few other contractors for bids, but either they never showed or they were very unprofessional or condescending. | |Their initial estimate was that maybe the porch could be salvaged with some work by lifting up, properly seating it, and then repairing the portions where it had started to separate from the house. Alas, that was not to be. | |The crew took apart the porch just enough to see exactly what was going to be needed, and to revise their estimate. It was pretty obvious that it was going to need a rebuild. | |They were professional and engaging, making several great suggestions about options for the new roof section and stairs. | |The only negative feedback I have is that they didn't put the gutter back on the new roof, which I would have appreciated. But otherwise the service was top notch. We love our new porch!

 + 0 moreExcellent from start to finish. Todd was working on a major project, yet still made the time to coordinate my remodel. Job was completed within 2 weeks (when other Big Box Stores said 4-6 weeks). Price was competitive; actually saving me money overall because my counter tops just needed to be resurfaced, not replaced. I was most impressed with his responsiveness if I had a question etc. He provided excellent communication, which was key for me. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Resurfaced and replaced the laminate kitchen counter tops. Removed and disconnected sink and garbage disposal.

 + 0 moreTodd was a great contractor in this process and brought together all involved to provide us with a quality deck that will be enjoyed for years to come. Todd and his team were courteous, professional, and thorough in their services provided. We would highly recommend him to others!
Description of Work: Removal of old deck (10'x20') and installation of new composite deck (20'x20'), complete with LED lighting in the posts. Services were also contracted to break up old concrete and pour new tinted and stamped concrete patio underneath and extending out from deck above.

Description of Work: Addition including basement playroom with bath, family room addition including new kitchen and addition of master bath. Also re-roofed, re-painted entire house in and out, re carpeted and added trex deck! I met Todd at Everett home show. We worked well together on plans, design and he added amazing finishing touches like custom bookcases and fireplace. 2'families did full remodels or additions in our neighborhood a year later after seeing our project. Another friend I recommended him too added a huge trex deck with patio last year! My next project for Todd is a full remodel of my moms 1940s home to prepare her for retirement years. Todd was also very conscientious about our children and pets. He always visqueened and taped off rooms to protect them from dust and harmful debris. He only used sub-contractors that were family considerate (no foul language), he played only family friendly music, and even let our dogs out for potty breaks when we weren't home to do so! I would trust him with any family I know!

 + 1 moreThe experience of working with Todd is excellent. He provides input & ideas & accepts them as well. He allowed my wife & I to remove all the wood decking & railing & have it ready for him to start install of new materials. He allowed me to do all the caulking & painting(extremely tedious & time consuming). Thus by being able to do this work ourselves, saved us a lot of money. Todd adopted some of my ideas, & vice versa. Todd is very consiensous of his work & the finished product, and it shows. Comunications between Todd & myself were fantastic, could not have been any better. I have never had that good of communications between myself & any other company, be it personal or online. He came in right on budget. Clean up after the project is good. We worked very well together, and it was a pleasure doing so. I learned quite a bit from being around Todd. He'll answer all the questions you have, & even being a pest, as I can be, didn't bother him a bit. At least half of the work was done when we were not home, I just left the back garage door open for him to access his tools & supplies. When he was done, everything was put away & garage closed back up. Thus another big important factor to consider is trustworthiness, and Todd is extremely trustworthy to be around your home when no one is home. Our home looks like a brand new home on the outside, thanks in part to Todd & his professionalism. Todd even hooked us up with a concrete company, whom he has worked with in the past, and works very well with the owner. And they happened to be my neighbor up the road, who I had never met. Extreme Concrete did an outstanding job & coordinated well with Todd. I plan on using Todd again for future projects both inside & out. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Installed new Timber Tech decking & railing, front porch & back deck, including new stairways for both. Wrapped exisisting 4x4 porch posts & beams with smooth primered wood, to make posts appear larger & give posts & beams a smooth finished look to match new railings. Installed wood window picture framing around four separate windows. Re-built crawl space access cover. Re-built steps from garage into laundry room with Timber Tech decking.

Description of Work: I contacted Todd for a water damage repair in the kitchen and set up an appointment for him to come out before I was leaving the area. I told him it was not only for the ceiling repair, but also for a full kitchen remodel, additonal laundry room and bathroom. On the phone he mentioned that he did everything from the roof down. He cancelled the first two meetings with me. He now would have to work with my husband. He cancelled again (third time). He finally made his appointment, took down the necessary measurements for the new roof and kitchen. Gave him all the contact information so that he could contact either one of us. We have heard absolutely nothing! Husband has called and I have also called. If he did not want the contract, he should have the professionalism to say thanks, but no thanks.

He shared a few options and then fixed it within a few hours. The job was small but he still gave me the quality services and time. It looks great. I will use Todd again future remodelling jobs.

 + 1 moreHe was a really nice guy. He came out and gave me a rough estimate about what he would do, but he never got back to me. I called him two days later but he told me he wasn?t interested in the job unless the job was bigger. I think he should have told me from the beginning that he is only interested in large projects and he didn?t respond to me two separate times when he told me he would get right back to me.
Description of Work: Todd Ritchey Restoration & Construction gave me a bid for a bathroom remodel. The work included new plumbing, new electrical, and new lights.

Description of Work: I have an apartment in my daughters home with an open floor plan. He was able to frame in walls, he installed crown moldings and created an extra closet under the stairs for extra storage.

 + 2 moreNeeded no supervision, followed plan exactly, had the materials delivered and cleaned up after finishing.
Description of Work: We had our older deck replaced with Trex material, and had a railing system with built in lights installed, as well. Todd understood exactly what we were looking for and even designed us a "diamond" pattern made from contrasting lumber in the middled. In the beginning of the job, Todd discovered dry rot behind where the old deck had been, and had to do some extensive work to remove this and put in metal flashing to prevent it from happening again. This raised the price from the original estimate, but it was not due to any mistake on his part. We would consider using Todd again, and in fact are going to. He was punctual, kept in touch by cell phone to communicate and did everything he promised.

Description of Work: I needed an expert opinion on why my hardwood floor had warps on it. The boys came and took a look and pinned it down to a structural problem underneath the sub floor. I was able to go to the construction company that built my house to get it fixed. The boys were invaluable to find out what the problem was. If I do have another issue, they will be the ones to call.

 + 18 moreThe first thing that comes to mind about Todd is thoughtfulness.we met Todd at a home and garden show in spring of 2008 and felt an instant connection- he listened to our desires and needs for our home remodel project. Todd took our wish-list, made suggestions that helped us create our perfect home remodel plan , then walked with us through every step to make our dream home a reality. He stayed in our budget (even reminding us of our budget when eyes wander in improvement stores).and thought of our family and our comforts and needs throughout our entire adventure. Our family made it through a project that completely gutted our home (while we lived in it---no kitchen, utility room etc. for a while!) because of Todd-he had a great sense of humor, was polite and conscience, only brought in sub-contractors that would be "family friendly", stayed on our time-line, and he added so many special touches that have friends and family in awe! We were so blessed to have met Todd...and we could recommend him to ANYONE for ANY TYPE of project you have---big or small...he's an amazing contractor! Julie and John R.
Description of Work: We added a 900 foot addition to our home-including a basement play room, larger family room, remodeled our utility room, added a huge master suite (incredible!) and gutted and added a new amazing kitchen!! (enviously beautiful, I may add) Also, added a huge deck and even re-created a new front yard which includes retaining walls. Our home has hardwood floors, new carpeting throughout, a new amazing fireplace (designed and created by Todd), wood wrapped windows and many other beautiful new upgrades!
