I was having concerns regarding the crawl space of my home. I went on-line and found "RAINY DAY BASEMENT SYSTEMS" amongst several other companies that focused on this kind of work. After reading reviews of all the companies, I decided to give "RDBS" a look, first completing an email response. I was immediately contacted by a company representative and set up an appointment for a few days later. A representative showed up on the appointment date who asked questions and discussed my needs. They had sent a complete brochure outlining their various services, which was extensive and overwhelming. I realized I had choices but would wait for an actual inspection by the rep. He donned protective gear - suit, mask etc. and went into the crawl space, inspecting the entire space, corner to corner, wall to wall. I realized my concerns were not as serious as I had imagined, so I opted to have the original minimal plastic ground cover removed, replacing it with the polyester sheeting they provided. A price was and a date set to do the work. On the day of the replacement, a crew of three arrived, set up heavy duty paper to protect the floor to the access point, plastic sheeting over surrounding furniture and then went to work. The crew chief went in first to remove the old plastic and debris, the polyester sheeting was measured and cut and the crew went in to lay the ground cover into place. The whole process took only 90 minutes. It was a pricy project but it was worth it for the peace of mind it provided.

This is a well run business: there response time, explanation of the processes, on-going progress reports, customer service and efficiency is worthy of a 5 star rating. We only lowered our rating because of the cost, which was a bit on the high side. Great team!

We hired Rainy Day Basement Systems back in 2021 and finally getting around to posting a review. The original sump pump that was installed from when the house was built was putting the water in the nearby downspout which just recycled the water and caused the sump pump would kick on every two minutes. Also it was so loud from the pump noise and when the water would hit the downspout. They re-did the sump pump setup including a new pump, basket and ran pipe along the foundation to pump the water out the other side of the house. They also worked with us to make a custom sound proof box to minimize the noise and put the sump pump we wanted that was more quiet. They worked with us every step of the way to make us happy.

My son and I would like to recommend and thank David Nush and Derrik of Rainy Day Basement for the exceptional job they did of waterproofing and repairing our home's crawl space. They arrived on time, advised us of the work to be done each day, answered all of our questions and cleaned up when the job was completed. Kirsten Smith was their system design specialist and gave an excellent presentation while giving us different options and called to follow up on our satisfaction when the job was done. We inherited a little cabin with a post and beam foundation that had settled quite a bit over the years. Dan offered creative and cost effective alternatives to level the foundation. We decided to go with the SmartJack system for our project and are very happy with the results. Throughout the process of evaluating our needs, getting the bid, through completion of the work, Dan was always timely with appointments and the work schedule, and we greatly appreciated his professionalism, regular communications and updates. The site was always clean and tidy and the crew was very friendly and helpful. The office team members were always friendly, professional and responsive too. While the SmartJack system was not an inexpensive solution, it will serve us well for many years to come. We highly recommend Dan Malsch and Rainy Day Basements.

It was a difficult decision due to cost, however it provides peace of mind, improved health benefits and extends the life of the home. The most time consuming part for us was the walk through of all the components and options available as provided by the company representative. In hindsight, this was probably the most valuable time spent to fully understand what we felt we needed and why. He provided some different lower cost options, but we decided to go with a complete clean space system. The crew started about a month later, and it took about 9 days over a 3-week period to complete. The crew were polite, on time and did a very professional job. We are very happy with the results to date.

The office called the day before the scheduled day to confirm. Kevin called twenty minutes out to let me know the arrival time. He arrived exacly on time. We discussed a minor question I had and he went to work. He performed an extremely thorough maintenance. I am a maintenance person and know the procedure. He found the bad level indicator. We discussed the problem and he replaced it. Throughout the whole appointment he was pleasant and engaging. I almost enjoyed giving the company my money. This is a very professional company from management, to office to field personnel.

Perfect job. No complaints. Helped me arrange for wiring in the crawl space. Oveall very satisfied. Crew was friendly and knowledgable and very neat. Cleaned up all debris 100%.

I had a pretty good experience with them. They were pretty hard workers. Their demeanor was real good. They were professional. Their price seemed like quite a bit, but we could not find anybody else that would actually come to our area to compare, so we did not really have a choice. They were there when they said they would be.

Dan and his team completed a large patio remodel and repair for us, and the project turned out very well. The team worked efficiently, and was very careful to avoid damaging any of our landscaping, (aside from unavoidable damage to some grass from the machinery). Dan kept us informed about the progress, and what we could expect to be happening as the work continued. The patio is now beautiful, but more importantly, structurally sound and ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

Moisture started coming through the cement seams at the very first rain after installation. I called him three days ago (Friday). There was no answer so I left a message describing what was going on and stated that he needed to address this. Still no response. I contacted the office and then he contacted me and explained that he never received the message I sent. I know that we do not always receive all our messages as this has happened before with others. He came out and and checked out the situation and then told me that the cement is porous and water vapor will come through it until the cement gets harder with age. I will need to seal the cement with a polyurethane sealer to stop all vapor. A non water solvable type. Then he gave me some good advice on remodeling my basement. Was very helpful. I believe he is a good man with a good heart. A few weeks later and the moisture is much less now. I will seal the concrete in near future to insure no vapor.

They were professional and thurough. They called us right back and scheduled a time to come over to meet with us. They came when they said they were going to come and they did what they said they were going to do.

They did a really good job, above and beyond what was expected. They are a really stand up company, when I did run into issues they went above and beyond my expectations.

It has made an enormous difference in our basement. It made our basement really usable and no longer toxic.
