Baker Painting & Drywall

Exterior house painting, Dave and his whole crew are very professional. The crew painted my 2800 ft.² house in three days end it looks Great. I would recommend Baker painting and drywall to anybody that means house painting

Dave is difficult to work with. He doesn't call if isn't going to come. My husband took time off work to meet him twice (for the first day of work). Dave did not come, nor did he call to say he wasn't coming. Both times my husband called him, he just replied that his other job held him up and he would come the next day. He finally came about 2.5 days late and then couldn't start because we didn't have the drywall upstairs (he told me to make sure the upstairs was completely empty before they started). The person he hired to install the drywall did a great job (his work is an A). The taping and mudding also looked great (he hired someone else to do that work too). The texture they did looks fine, but it isn't what I asked for (I asked for knock-down texture and got orange peel). They stapled up the plastic to cover the windows and left staples in all of my door and window frames. They also textured, primed, and painted over one light switch and a light fixture. The last straw was when he painted the upstairs. Dave said he needed 10 gallons of paint to cover the upstairs. We had 7 gallons, so we got an additional 5 gallons of paint. Dave only used the 7 gallons and painted thinly to make it stretch because he couldn't find the extra 5 gallons. He has a cell phone - he should have called to ask where the paint was. Now I have patches on my walls and ceilings that I have to paint myself to cover the parts that are only primed. They also missed a section of wall entirely in the texture/priming/painting part of the process. They also failed to cover a window seat and it got covered with overspray of texture, primer, and paint, so we have to replace that too. Overall, the people Dave hires do great work, but Dave's work has no attention to detail. We ended up just paying him to be done with it because we were on a tight deadline and had no time to make him fix his mistakes (he finished a week after he estimated his completion, then blamed the delay on us).

It took 2 trips out due to drying time required. We will have them paint soon. We have seen them work and they are fast with good finish results.
