Description of Work: Dave's wood work is excellent. I have worked with him many times on projects around my house and yard. It's a shame that someone posted a second party bad review that has nothing to do with his work. I have worked on a remodel with him and several sub-contractors and have never had anything but great work. He's a character for sure and has 30 years of wild fishing stories from his time as an Alaskan fisherman. I have a remodeled kitchen, master bath, porch, fences, driveway, and laundry room by Dave.

+ 1 moreHe would show up and would park his multiple vehicles on our lawn! Not on the street. He was a bully from the start to finish and never gave a quote for the new deck. Instead he hired another guy to come out and work on the deck with him and then after he replaced the deck handed over a bill that cost more than the price of building two new sheds! He is verbally abusive and manipulative and potentially borderline personality disorder. I would never hire him again for any project.
Description of Work: My parents hired him to replace a deck on our shed that had some areas of rot around the door.

Description of Work: When buying our house we had an inspection done. Hermstad's company was hired by the seller to take out rotted lumber around the chimney and replace both the damaged area and the siding. One year later, while having other work done, we asked our new contractor to check Hermstad's work. We discovered that the rot was still there and just the siding was replaced, disguising to internal rotting joist.
