GREAT! Job was more then I had originally planned because previous owner construction not to code. Steve Stimson explained the existing lean to was not secured into the support posts, making it a hazard for snow loading from the barn roof. Bracing of lean-to roof could also allow rolling of 2x6es if snow load heavy. The angle it was installed allowed rain and snow to enter the covered area. Steve fully explained 'how they would do it' and we brain stormed options for roofline and gating I wanted to allow this area to function as a stall when needed. Steve also coordinated a bid for electrical work with the company he works with, which saved me time and effort. Steve's a quality ethical guy. Easy to converse with and dependable. Crew was professional, friendly, focused on safety, worked well together. I watched most of the process and was impressed with the quality of the work and cooperation within the team. Metal siding not measured for until framing construction complete to insure correct amounts of materials would be on hand. Moisture barrier installed under roof. The rolling door repair and an extra patch were added during the process. A couple minor communication issues but Steve was always promptly available to resolve them. What's more important to me then having an issue is how it is handled. I now have a run-in/stall combo that is open air, dry, of higher clearance, functional, attractive. The barn rolling door no longer scrapes the barn and with latches no longer 'flaps in the breeze'. I plan in a few years to build an enclosed arena and Stimson will be my first call!

We spent most of the time out of town. Stimson kept in touch with us, finished the job on time, within the estimated price, and cleaned the area. We returned to a totally completed project, well done, and we did not have to supervise as we have had to with other building projects. We were impressed with the quality of the work done.
Description of Work: Steve Stimson built a 1200 square foot carport, attached to our home. He got all permits, prepared the ground, and built the metal roofed carport.
